I had the best chicken schnitzel at the lovely restaurant. The decor is gorgeous. The cappuccino I ordered for room service was served in the prettiest cup and saucer. I know it’s a simple thing, but it truly made my day. Charlene and Mavis were very kind and friendly!

Canoeing in the Vaal

We really enjoyed the luxurious one night stay as part of a bikepacking trip. The highlights: a cool air conditioned room, the swimming pool and it was appreciated that we were allowed to store our bicycles inside the dining area for safekeeping. The guest house is tastefully decorated and very clean. Breakfast was prepared and served punctually the following morning and we enjoyed the restaurant's view overlooking the river.

There was no hot water available for the shower and the hot tub. When we phoned to enquire, we were told that the matter would be looked into, but it was not resolved nor did we receive any feedback. We were grateful for the free amenities and toiletries that were provided, however we would have liked some body wash soap.

Everything was too perfect

Very friendly staff and beautiful rooms. Good money was spent on the linens, duvets and room decorations. The food was very good and well priced. Right next to the Vaal and pretty.

Our room was right next to the reception desk and the restaurant, so if we didnt close our curtains, people having a meal on the patio would look straight into our room. Not the venue's issue, but loads of potholes to dodge to get there.
