Le gîte dispose d'un rez-de-chaussée de 60 m². Il y a 2 chambres -

Le chalet est situé dans la région de Hraunborgir, une communauté guiet, par Kiðjabergsvegur (déroute 353) à seulement 3 km. Au large de la route 35, Biskupstungnabraut, une perle cachée dans le sud, à environ 45 minutes de route de la capitale Reykjavik. Il est idéal si vous souhaitez explorer le Cercle d'or, le parc national de Þingvellir, Kerið, Gullfoss et Geysir et bien plus encore. Également à courte distance est le mont. Hekla, les belles chutes de Seljalandsfoss et Skógarfoss et Þórsmörk, un joyau naturel. Sur votre chemin vers ou depuis Reykjavik, vous pouvez vérifier le Hveragarður (Steamgarden) dans la ville de Hveragerði.

This 2/1 cabin is situated in a small private community and offers everything that our two couple party needed on our exploration of Southwest Iceland.
The cabin...
- Small and efficient in a quaint European way.
- The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-appointed, seating was fine for catching up on some TV after a long day hiking and exploring.
- With 4 adults the hot water tank was maybe a little small... but that just motivated us to get up early and shower first or second.
- There is a Washing machine but no dryer... check under the beds for a drying rack.
- We never got a chance to use the hot tub but it looked nice.
Community...
- Gated, quiet, and very pleasant. We stayed at this cabin for 5 nights and only saw one or two other cars drive through.
Central Location...
- Being about an hour out of Reykjavik it is easy to get to.
- It is quiet and a little remote, offering piece and quiet, and awesome views.
- The town of Selfoss is only about 20 minutes away and has grocery stores, restaurants, and other amenities.
- Within an hours drive you can easily get to Gysier, Gullfoss, Secret Lagoon, Turf house, Caves of Hella, Thingvellir National Park, Kirid Crater, several options for horseback riding, and a bunch more sites... including two must-do restaurants Friðheimar and the Farmers Bistro.
- You can also get to Vic, the Black Beaches, Ice Caves, Glacier Hikes ... all within about two hours.

this cottage is a beautiful, cozy and lovingly decorated place. It is perfectly located for many exciting excursions in this beautiful area, e.g. the Golden Circle, horse riding, hiking in Geothermal areas near Hveragerdi, bathing in lagunes, etc. and then closing the day in the hot tub at the cottage - just perfect!

Great location, stayed for a week at David’s property. He was kind enough to meet us at check-in and show us around the property. Highly recommend going to the Vestmann Islands and going to all the local municipal pools with your kids. Be sure to learn Iceland pool etiquette!

We had 5 nights with our family of 2 adults and 2 small children. The cottage was well equipt to enjoy meals and relax - a really comfortable living space for a family. The garden/yard and hot tub were a great bonus and our boys loved exploring out there. We saw 7 of the main attractions at easy daily outings.
The bedrooms are a little small, but beds are comfortable and plenty of room to relax in the main area.
We'd love to return to the cottage on a future trip!

The property is excellent, with a nice location that is easily accessible. It's close enough to Reykjavík, which is perfect if you encounter a rainy day and need to change your plans. However, it's important to ensure that you and your company are well-coordinated as the bedrooms are minuscule. It seems that the owner has plans to expand them in the future, but it hasn't happened yet. Nonetheless, overall, it's a fantastic place where you feel at home right away.

We stayed at this property during a 5 night stopover and had a fantastic visit. The house is in a gated community a bit over an hour away from Keflavik Airport. The location ended up being perfect for all of the day trips we took around the southern part of Iceland. The darling cottage itself is clean, well appointed and comfortable. Taking a soak in the hot tub on a cold and clear night was an added bonus. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had a fantastic stay here. The property is beautifully decorated, well equipped with everything you need, very warm and cozy and the hot tub is an added bonus. It’s also perfectly located to explore all the sights along the Golden Circle and also a good distance to Reykjavik.
We would definitely love to stay here again on our next visit.

The Summerhouse cottage was perfect for our stay. It is well located to visit all of your favorite Southern Iceland attractions. The cottage was very clean, and very comfortable. We all slept better than we did at home! The delightful hot tub was a huge bonus. We were lucky and got a fantastic show from the Aurora show, even in August!

A lovely Getaway
We loved our stay here. The cottage had everything we needed and more. The hot tub was an amazing added comfort after a long day of exploring! The host was communicative and easy to reach. The cottage was in the perfect location to visit many of Iceland’s top sights. Highly recommend.

Perfect holiday rental in a brilliant location.
Everything was easy, from booking to check in. Appreciated the early check in and personal service from David.
The property was in an ideal location, clean, warm and cosy equipped with everything you would need. Might be a bit too cosy in the bedrooms if there were 5 of you! But perfect for us 3.
The hot tub on the veranda was great, perfect spot to watch the sunset.
All the sights and places to visit in the south were very easy to get to. Self catering easy with Selfoss nearby to stock up.

Comfy, clean cottage
The cottage is easy to get to, nicely maintained and decorated. We had everything we needed for a cozy stay. We had the misfortune of coming during a blizzard, however, and the cabin is rather remote, so that proved to be a challenge and we actually left a couple days early just to avoid the possibility of being snowed completely in, as we were running out of food! We made good use of the hot tub and we did see the Northern Lights very clearly from the end of the path on our second night there, which made up for any weather issues. David is a very attentive host, would definitely stay there again!

Gemütliches Cottage
Das Cottage ist ein sehr schön eingerichtetes Objekt, welches die Familie des Vermieters auch als Erholungsort nutzt.
Unser Highlight im Cottage war ein Whirlpool auf der Terrasse, den wir abends nach den Ausflügen genutzt haben.
Das Objekt liegt ein bissel außerhalb in einem Überwachten Bereich mit Ferien Hütten.
Selfoss, die nächste größere Stadt, liegt etwa 20 km entfernt, die aber endspannt mit dem Auto erreichbar ist. Für die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten muss man so oder so durch Selfoss und kann daher den einkaufen super mit den Attraktionen verbinden.
Wir hatten einen Super Urlaub, bei der Hütte ihren Teil zu beigetragen hat. Er gab keine Probleme.

Excellent cabin really rural very quiet and a perfect location for all the sights Iceland has to offer and there are many. The cabin is more like a home than a rented apartment it's beautifully layed out in its own grounds and even has its own mini golf course

Great location for day trips around the south east
I booked this place as a home-base for our week long trip to Iceland. It was perfectly located to do day trips all along the south east section of the ring road. We absolutely loved it and was perfectly satisfied about the location and relative proximity to Reykjavik, and the golden circle.

Love Cottage in beautiful area
We stayed for several nights in Davids cottage and enjoyed it very much.
The cottage is lovely and offers everything you need.
Small bedrooms, but definetly sufficient. In return the light flooded and open living room with kitchen offers a lot of space and invites to spend your time there, as well as the veranda with hot tub.
Communication with David was easy.
We will definately come back.

Great place to stay and close to all Golden circle points of interest
We had no trouble founding this ultra quiet little cottage ideally located at about one hour from Reykjavik and 20 mn from Selfoss, where you will find several supermarkets enabling you to cook at home, saving you loads of money. The kitchen is very well equipped and you will find salt, pepper, spices, oil, and other ingredients to fix your meals. The living room is large and comfortable, and tastefully decorated. All the main attractions of the Golden circle are easy to drive to, and so is the Reykjanes peninsula, a little farther west, as well as the spectacular coastline ( Eyrarbakkabugur). After coming back from a day of excursion, you may want to relax in the excellent jacuzzi, that was spotlessly clean and worked wonderfully without anything us for us to set and to manipulate. The beds were comfortable and we slept vey well, but it should be mentioned that both bedrooms are very small, although this was not a problem for us and our teenage sons. Last but not least, the price is absolutely right for such a comfortable, convenient and premium cottage ( Wi Fi and TV with Netflix included). Our mistake is that we did not stay longer. 3 days were not enough!

David and his family were very welcoming , met us upon arrival, and provided us with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The Perfect Place
David provided excellent instructions not only of the cottage but what was available to see in the area—as well as greeting is when we arrived! There is everything you need to stay and more. It’s in a perfect location to see the Kenid Crater, Gullfoss, Geysir, Thingvellir Nat’l park and more. As well it is beautifully decorated with the bonus of a small putting range on the property.

100% welcoming
We were a family of four and had a wonderful time in the house. We were very sad, when we had to leave. The house had everything what needed. The private golf course and the hot tub was the best. Everything was clean and really modern decorated. David and his wife welcomed us so lovely. The bedrooms and the bath are not so big, but everything is easy to handle that it doesn´t matter. Thank you very much for the nice and uncomplicated stay. We really recommend the house to everybody who likes it practically and warm charming . With best wishes from Germany hope to come back someday.

Cozy and comfortable!
Perfect place to relax! We loved staying here and had an excellent visit to Iceland! This was a great place to stay as it felt “away from everything “ but also a short drive to the grocery store and wine shop. Great home base for exploring the southern sites. David was a great host and very helpful. I would highly recommend booking your stay here, it was a wonderful place to come home to at the end of the day.

Amazing setting
David is an amazing host and always made sure we had everything we needed. Cutest summerhouse in Iceland. A lot has gone into the interior of the property and a real privilege to stay in, just wish we had spent more time in it as we didn’t expect it to be that nice. Would recomend it highly.

An excellent time for us!
We had an amazing holiday in this beautiful house! It was very clean, the kitchen is well equipped (dishwasher, coffee machine etc.) and the bathroom is good as well. There was nothing to complain about! The hotpot was very nice as well.
The owner is also very nice and he perfectly organized everything for us. So we can highly recommend the house.
