Het allerliefste personeel. We hadden voedselvergiftiging opgelopen en mochten daarom 3 uur langer in onze kamer blijven. Er werd ons niks extra in rekening gebracht. Ook was het personeel erg behulpzaam met bijv drankjes aandragen die konden helpen. De kamer was luxe, mooie badkamer en alles schoon en netjes. Ontbijt hebben we niet kunnen meemaken maar leuk dat dit op t dakterras was met prachtig uitzicht op t meer. Locatie was sowieso handig gelegen, vlakbij tempel van de tand.

The Lotus Lake Residence is a great hotel situated high above Kandy Lake. Our room whilst, not large, was a good size and spotlessly clean. The shower had a proper cubicle, an excellent shower head and hot water Breakfast was included and was the best in Sri Lanka. It was buffet style with plenty of fruit, curry, rice, pasta, toast, roti, fruit juice, coffee, tea, cake, omelet etc etc. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a large bottle of complimentary water. There was also a fridge and a hair dryer. Wifi in the room was good as was the air conditioning. The room also had a fan. The bed was comfy too with four pillows. The Lady on reception was exceedingly helpful at check in especially as we arrived early at 9.30am. They had a room which was being made up and ten minutes later we were in our room after a helpful young man carried our cases up three flights of stairs. There is a great view of the lake from the rooftop breakfast area.

Lovely hotel in perfect location.

The view looks over the lake towards ti palace, absolutely stunning. The staff were helpful, even popping to the shop for me. Just check the time you have to be in, it looks like 22.00, but it was a bit unclear, so don’t get locked out!

Fabulous view from our room, worth booking a view. Comfortable bed and pillows for great nights sleep Owner extremely helpful and looks after her staff well as they are so happy in their work. Location great, short cut for walking into town . Breakfast was best we had so far on our travels.

Posizione molto comoda, attraverso una stradina pedonale e delle scalette di arriva direttamente al centro di Kandy. Abbiamo avuto la possibilità di parcheggiare la macchina direttamente vicino l’ingresso

The location is perfect, a great view of the lake and temple of the tooth. Very central. The rooms were really nice. Overall the hotel is fairly basic but very comfortable. We really enjoyed the choices at breakfast, and the staff were great. They were very sweet to our 2 year old daughter.

L'emplacement clairement parfait, Permet de tout faire à pied sans difficulté. L'accueil vraiment agréable, Jus de bienvenue, Personnel très agréable et gentil. La salle de bain de grande taille avec eau chaude.

L'humidité dans la chambre (le linge en est comme mouillé), pas très agréable de dormir dans des draps si humides. L'hôtel est tout de même vétuste, Quelques travaux de remise au propre seraient bien.

a nice quiet location out of the city but very close to walk to. the staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive too. good air conditioning and not a large hotel so remains quiet in the evening.

wasn’t clear about wether the room would be made each day so had to ask for extra towels, toilet paper, bins to be emptied etc, but this was no problem for the staff at all.

Absolut herzliches Familienunternehmen. Wir sind spontan eine Nacht früher angereist und hatten dadurch ein besseres Zimmer mit Seeblick erhalten. Am nächsten Tag hätten wir eigentlich das Zimmer wechseln müssen, aber man war so freundlich uns den Umzug zu ersparen. Gutes Frühstück und sehr zuvorkommende und hilfsbereites Personal. Wir würden wieder hier übernachten.

Shower was not hot, a bit basic, but fine in comparison with the price

The property is elegant , located in the main touristy area (Kandy lake) of the city. Surrounded my rich greenery, the property offers perfect tranquility. the staff is very good. for me this was the highlight of the stay. rooms are comfortable. we had an early morning train, and the staff helped us with packed sandwiches. I highly recommend this property in Kandy.

Internet in the room wasn't great. except this, we loved every bit of our stay at the property.

Great location with an overlook of the lake and Temple of the Tooth. Far enough from the center of the city that you didn't hear all of the noise but close enough to walk or get a quick taxi if you wanted to do some site seeing.

The breakfast was just ok and could have been better. There was fresh fruit but nothing really savory or substance. The rooms were pretty bare and the shower water never got warm or had enough pressure. Also the hotel was a little tricky to find as it was down a steep incline which made it difficult to get a taxi.

Die Lage des Hotels war gut. Von der Dachterasse konnte man auf den Kandy Lake sehen. Da wir sehr früh mit dem Zug weitergereist sind, konnten wir nicht frühstücken. Das Hotel hat uns Sandwich, Obst und Wasser als Lunch Box mitgegeben, was uns sehr gefreut hat. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer waren in Ordnung. Es gab leider keinen Haartrockner und das Bad war schon etwas älter.

Es riecht leider in den Zimmern sehr modrig. Auf den Wänden war Schimmel. Für eine Nacht hat die Unterkunft ihren Zweck erfüllt, länger würden wir dort nicht bleiben wollen.

L'hotel és molt complet i força a prop de la majoria d'atraccions de la ciutat. Està en una zona tranquila, que s'agraiex ja que Kandy és una ciutat caòtica. L'esmorzar era molt bo.

Une grande chambre bien meublée donnant sur une grande terrasse avec vue sur le lac. Un petit déjeuner excellent sur le toit de l'hôtel. De jeunes employés timides mais disponibles.

Hôtel tristounet. Télécommande TV cassée. Télécommande clim ne fonctionnant pas. Draps et serviettes pas nets. Singes envahissant la terrasse et laissant des déjections non nettoyées. Facturation sur la base du montant en dollars et pas en roupies.

Pequeno-almoço servido num terraço com uma vista maravilhosa sobre a cidade de Kandy, sendo este abundante, de qualidade e muito variado, a Senhora que servia era encantadora. A proprietária do Hotel também era adorável extremamente educada, simpática e sempre a tentar ajudar em todas as questões que lhe coloquei, poderia ser um hotel a repetir.

Um bocadinho distante do centro, de regresso do mesmo até ao hotel é difícil fazê-lo a caminhar porque tem uma subida íngreme, mas é fácil em tuk tuk, sendo estes baratos e abundantes.

Super Lage, Zahntempel, City Center, Kandy Lake alles in ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir hatten eine Suite und einen traumhaften Ausblick auf den See und die beleuchtete Stadt abends. Das Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse war sehr gut - Obst, Toast, Omelette, Joghurt und landestypisches Frühstück (Rotti, Kokossambal, Dal)...

Très bon emplacement. Pas loin de la gare de train de Kandy (10/15min à pied). Les photos correspondent bien à ce qu’il est démontré. Le personnel est gentil: petit verre de bienvenu (jus de mangue, très bon). Les chambres sont correctes et spacieuses. Gros plus pour le lit qui était très confortable ! La salle de bien également rien à dire, top. Juste une tache d’humidité au dessus de la douche. Mais c’était très bien pour un court séjour (1 nuit). Le petit déjeuner était également délicieux!

Breakfast was superb and further enhanced by the wonderful view from the rooftop restaurant. Location was also excellent, easy walking distance to central Kandy and everything around there, including the train station. View from our room (3 person suite with lake view on 3rd floor) was really nice. The passing horde of monkeys in the morning was a special treat ;-) Overall the staff were very helpful and responsive, with particular thanks to the very kind and welcoming hostess! Our hostess also helped to very quickly arrange a driver with van for us, many thanks to Kalana for being our excellent companion and tour guide for the next 6 days, highly recommended!
