Lovely hotel, room, pool, restaurant and facilities. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The buffet food was not great for the money, although there was a good range of food.

Location right in the centre of Kandy made it very easy for us to see all sites. Mountain view of the room was just amazing and breathtaking. A huge variety of food in the dinner buffet offered by the hotel’s restaurant, with a very pleasant ambiance.

The water pump pressure wasn’t that good.

Our driver was treated well and the process to to come and go felt easy. The pool was lovely to relax in in the evening. The dinner buffet was delicious. Golden Crown Kandy wasn't just luxurious, it was a breath of fresh air. My spacious room was sparkling clean and the view of endless greenery instantly melted away the city stress. Talk about a personal touch! We were pleasantly surprised when even the general manager took the time to welcome us and bid us farewell upon leaving. That level of hospitality is a rarity, and we've only experienced it before in the Maldives and Dubai at five-star resorts.

One area that needs improvement is the reception staff's uniforms, which appear tiered apart and worn out, slightly detracting from the otherwise pristine five-star image.

We were initially allocated a room on the second floor, and to our dismay, it had a rather unpleasant odor. A member of the cleaning staff acknowledged that this room tends to be smellier, so we declined to check in. Thankfully, the reception staff graciously provided us with an alternative room, but the view was not as splendid as the previous one, despite its smell. It's rather unfortunate to witness rooms being left in such conditions. On the bright side, all other facilities were quite satisfactory.

As a guest at your hotel, I wanted to share my experience. The rooms and lobby were wonderfully spacious, creating a comfortable atmosphere. The view from the restaurant was truly mesmerizing, as it overlooked beautiful paddy fields. However, I must mention that a downside was the lighting situation. Many of the lights in the hotel were either blinking or not working properly, which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the car parks seemed quite eerie with blinking lights, and some areas were completely dark without any lights at all. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but I hope these lighting issues can be addressed for the future.

we loved the spacious room we stayed in, the host dayanjaya and the receptionists, and staffs were amazing and nice. the room was clean and reached our expectations. the pool and the buffet was outstanding and the view was beautiful. we all enjoyed the stay and we wish we could have stayed much longer.

During my stay at the Golden Crown Hotel, I was impressed by the exceptional service and swift handling of a challenging situation. A guest with apparent mental issues caused a disturbance in the lobby, displaying aggressive behavior. However, the hotel staff efficiently managed the situation, ensuring the safety and comfort of all guests.

From the entrance with Mr. Sivaraj to reception beautifu lady and going to the room it was exceeded expection, the smell of cleanness was everywhere and the food was perfect ( the guys in the restaurant they help me to find z best way how to try Sri lanka food which was the best ,i highly recommend the spa was also perfect. And add on i was having the chance to see Sri lanka wedding in the hotel for rich family. Honestly, it was a very nice place

the location is the only advantage this hotel has to offer

They miss calculated the extra bed cost - it took 3 employees and one manager to sort out the calculations. it took 6 hrs and 3 calls to the front desk to get the extra bed. bed linen were not clean, they called us at 7am to let us know that we have a pending payment which later was found to be a mistake. Buffet did not offer verity of option and the food was cold. when we checked out, they didn’t even bothered to ask how was our staying. definitely not what you would expect from a 5 stars hotel.

everything is clean and organized. best part is the dinner buffet, please book half board and it is worth every single penny.

the welcome wasn’t good. I even asked myself for a bottle of water and still waited for 15 mins. it was as if we should wait for 30 mins before we get even a bottle of water.
