The behavior of the staff was very respectful and good, the location of the hotel is exactly in the center of the city and it is very easy to access shopping centers and places of interest. The room was very clean and comfortable

Very courteous and friendly staff with warm welcome and easy check-in process, quite and spacious room. Very tasty breakfast and would rate high. Location is the advantageous of this hotel as it is in walking distance of Kandy Kathirgamam temple, Temple of Tooth Relic, Kandy lake and Kandy shopping areas.

Quite old lift and will not stop in certain floors, power adapters are not given in convenient locations.

Location can't be beat, it's directly walking distance from everything you would want to see and you have countless options around locally for food and drinks and the pool was perfect for a quick break from walking and touring.

The hotel has aged, but the photos are accurate so it's not a down side.... Bar was ok upstairs.

Hotel Casamara was absolutely fantastic. The hotel had an incredible breakfast, the room was exactly what we needed, and the rooftop bar was 👌. The people working here were some of the best we met and very much enjoyed it.

it’s centrally located so if you’re limited on time like I was it’s perfect for exploring the sights and restaurants. It also wasn’t as noisy as I’d expect and was easy to sleep etc. The breakfast was a set menu but for a few days it was ok. The staff were really wonderful!

My first room had lots of mould, smelt of cigarettes and the wifi didn’t work so I moved Two floors down. The wifi was still patchy but it smelt better - unfortunately the strong smell of cigarettes persisted in the bathroom (likely coming from ventilation with other rooms). You could tell mould/damp had just been painted over. The whole place is quite tired really and I don’t think worth the cost considering there are other options cheaper elsewhere. if I could rate the place on its staff however it would be 10/10!

Ok for 1 nighter in Kandy, we weren't there long, an afternoon arrival and early train the next day. But the hotel has some quirks, but it's nice enough. The breakfast is more buffet, but they cook up a fresh omelette and good selection of other items ready to go. Good rooftop bar with reasonably priced drinks to enjoy a view above Kandy. The staff went above and beyond to make you feel happy and welcome.

Felt a bit dated, but everything was clean and tidy.

Situated in the heart of Kandy city, Casamara hotel is a short distance from The Sri Dalada Maligawa or The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Kandy Lake also known as Bogambara Lake as well as Udawattakele Sanctuary. I had three breakfasts. First morning it was the English breakfast, second morning the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast Indiappa (String hoppers), third morning buffet and I had Kiribath (Milk Rice) with chilli and onion sambal, called Lunu Miris. The idea of fragrant curries for breakfast may take a couple of days to warm up to, but once you embrace it, you may find it tricky going back to jam on toast.

Only the location was good, staff was okay.

Where to start... It is listed as a 4 stars , however on our arrival we noticed that it doesnt have any star. Indeed it is very far from having any. Conditions are obsolete. It is 40-60 year hotel without any renovation done. As soon as you entered the room it smelled like mold. The entrance door provides no sound isolation at all. You can hear everything that happens including the phone ringing ( at any hour) . Same applies for the balcony door, where the noise starts at 4am ( prayer time) and is non stop chaos untill you are forced to get out of bed. The busy streets were surely not helping, eventhough we were on the 3rd floor. The bathroom was outdated. No efforts done to elevate the experience. The mirror was broken, the hairdryer is old and it is very hard to flush the toilet . The room was not that clean. They don't clean rooms for the entire duration of the stay. Not even empty the bins or change the towels. No electrical sockets near the bed. You have to unplug the lights to charge your phone. Don't bother to use the 20 inch TV ,since it is 5m away from the bed. Breakfast was unacceptable and lacked taste. For what they are charging us very poor value for money . We got 5 stars hotel for the same price in Sri Lanka. Extremely disappointed Cannot see any justifications for the other good reviews

Location is great, staff was amazing and the rooftop bar had amazing views.
