La propriété est idéalement située, à seulement quelques minutes en voiture ou en bus du centre-ville et avec un accès facile à la fois sur la M40 et l'A34. Perfect location for this beautiful property. Two local pubs, perfect for an evening drink and bite to eat. Short 5 minute walk to the local shops and the bus stop into central Oxford. Craig was super helpful and assisted us with everything we needed. We couldn't have asked for a better stay in Headington - we totally fell in love with the area.

This is the cutest little place situated on a quiet street across from a fun park for the kids. The house was clean and tidy, large, and fit our family well. Craig the host was nice enough to see us roll in with kids and brought a bucket full of toys for them to play with. Both Craig and his wife were super helpful from start to finish. By the time we were done, we felt like we were leaving a family members house. 5 stars and more!

Property was as described, easy to walk to supermarket, shops and restaurants and also the bus into Oxford.
However, check in process was difficult. Check in was 4 pm. We got there a little after 4 and could not contact the owners until 5:30. They there was a big rain storm and water came in through the chimney and water was a problem, although the owners were home they never answered our call, just like the check in process.

A bit tricky to find, but once we did, our stay was perfect - charming and clean. Everything we needed was a short walk away in Headington, and Oxford was a short ride away by uber or bus.

Very clean and nice - needs a tad atmosphere as per in paintings on the walls as its quite sterile and perhaps ice in the freezer, a small milk in the fridge and a small bowl of fruit like we get in the States as a real welcome. But apart from those finer details - it was all good.

The hosts are very helpful, responsive and friendly. The place is immaculate, well designed with plenty of natural light. It was so convenient being so close to grocery store or local pub (2 min walk each way). Headington is a beautiful area of Oxford. We really enjoyed our stay.

We loved staying at The Stables. We have a 7 year old daughter, and she had a fantastic time playing at the park across the way.
It was the perfect location for us. Very easy to get into Oxford Centre on the bus, and it only took about 10 minutes. So many buses that came often, it was never a problem.

The Stables were comfortable and welcoming. The heating was excellent for a cold March weekend and the facilities were very good. Managed very well with disabled partner in a wheelchair - no handles in bathroom though.

Although the photo seemed "cold" the Stables was quite comfortable. The hosts were great (Craig and Dominique). The location was perfect for us outside Oxford in community called Headington. It took 10 minutes for the bus to go into Oxford proper and gave us the feeling of living in England. I highly recommend it!

Oxford birthday celebration
The homeowners were super, accommodating and friendly. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in their beautifully converted old building just outside Oxford. The home is lovely, well equipped and comfortable. We used the local bus service several times to travel into central Oxford and wandered around discovering the history of the beautiful city, it’s fabulous architecture, friendly pubs and excellent restaurants, in particular we enjoyed a wonderful lunch at The Ivy for my birthday! Thanks for a lovely break!

Lovely Oxford Location
Very well appointed, newly decorated property(former stable block). Fantastic facilities, with everything we needed for our weekend stay. Would definitely stay here again, if returning to Oxford, which is highly likely. Location is perfect, in a quiet area(Headington), on the outskirts of town, but ideally situated for the short hop into town, and with plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby. Our hosts were very friendly and casual(they live in the adjoining property), and we felt relaxed and comfortable all weekend. Altogether, a very enjoyable stay, and highly recommended for us VRBO fans..

Very clean, spacious and well equipped, ideal location for Oxford city centre and local shops. Decor was rather minimalist, some cushions and soft furnishings would be cosier in autumn/winter, although this is a matter of personal taste.

Great Accommodation but...
We are two couples who regularly meet up in various UK locations, this property is in a great location and an easy £10 taxi ride into the centre of Oxford, and has everything you need for your stay, however it lacks those personal touches that make a stay great. At the price we paid per night this property was by far our most expensive we have stayed at but offered no personal touches, a bottle of wine, flowers, a crusty loaf etc offered by so many properties that are far cheaper but missing on this occasion, the property is crying out for some pictures and cushions for a homely feel. The owner Dominique kindly let us check in early but then completely blanked us as we left the property. This property could be amazing with some little extras touches.

Charming listing, in an idyllic setting
The Stables was our base for a quiet birthday getaway.
A really lovely, bright and airy, comfortable and modern use of space. The owners are based next door but left very detailed information. The house is ideally situated in a pretty Headington, just 10 minutes from central Oxford, but itself a lovely place with nice restaurants, cafes etc. If you want to travel further afield, you’re close enough to London, and lots of beauty sports in the Chilterns, Oxfordshire, and the surrounding counties.
Definitely worth a visit.

The town of Headington turned out to be an excellent location for visiting Oxford, and this particular VRBO rental was a very good choice: clean, modern, well-equipped, with helpful hosts right next door if you need anything. The spacious park across the lane was a lovely place to stroll. We enjoyed shopping at the well-stocked Waitrose market just minutes away via a “secret” paved walking path bordered by stone walls. The apartment was very quiet and we enjoyed strolling our neighborhood.

This is a high quality, stylish, well equipped property in which we were warm, comfortable and very well located for the Headington shops, cafes and buses to town, which are only a few minutes walk away. It is also very quiet despite its proximity to all these amenities.
