Spacious house. Big roof terrace. Very clean.

a very tranquil location but with shop and restaurants within walking distance. House has a large terrace with all day long sun. With the sea directly in front you have a 24 hour spectacle with ever changing high and low tides, attracting many birds.

We loved the hosts Antonio and Norma who live on the opposite side of the bay. We were greeted by them who showed us around the house. Their English was not great and my Spanish from school was definitely rusty but we managed with great enthusiasm and they sent us details of where to go and what to do in English. Which was very helpful. The view from the apartment is beautiful from the kitchen, lounge and terrace window. Black lava rocks piercing the tranquil view, calm sea in the bay to fish, swim and do any number of gentle water sports. We saw someone paddleboarding one morning. We also had the opportunity as a family which Antonio arranged to go on his pedlo boat.The sky is always crisp blue with the sun injecting warmth and the wind always present offering fresh opportunities. The roof terrace is a great large space to be inspired by the view, watch the many different birds swooping down in the bay to catch a fish. Or you can sunbath as their are plenty of loungers, have lunch on the table and chairs on the terrace with the fantastic view of Atlantic waves surfing into the bay. Play frisbee, football, catch ball, cards, draw a picture, paint or write. We did all the above. The sea is literally outside the front door, plenty of rock pools to explore, walks to go on, restaurants to eat in by the harbour. Not too many to be overwhelmed but enough to try a few for variety. The landscape is so drastic and changes from one walk to another. It's breathtaking and takes your imagination to other wordly worlds. It's flat so very good for wheelchair users. Most people speak English but they are open for you to give it a go if you want to embrace the wonder that is Lanzarote. The markets in Palm tree lined Haria on Saturday and Sunday are really lovely. Very bohemian with some fantastic artists and artisan products. Talented musicians playing in the square and a mixture of good fair priced food on offer.

The only issue was when we arrived the third bedroom was Locked and not able to use. We booked three bedrooms as my daughter is now 12 and her brother who is 9 to give her some privacy. I am not sure if you have to pay extra for the third bedroom. It was not clear. They did share but this could be an issue. We might have to rethink next year but hope to return.
