Apartment was perfect and was a great base to explore Lisbon

The property manager, Goncãlo, was considerate and attentive, and went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. Because my husband arrived the apartment after a really late flight, he shopped for breakfast items at short notice. We only had to ask and Goncãlo would promptly assist, whether it was a blender for our smoothies or some other request. Situated on a hill, the views from the property were breath-taking. The property itself is lovely, well maintained with an elevator and bins tucked away in an orderly fashion. The apartment is tastefuIly decorated in classic 60's interiors with solid quality electronic brands, the ambiance is of quiet luxury. The WiFi was great. I loved the sound of the bells at the Nunnery ringing out on the hour, and the fact that the location was just 10-15 minutes away by Uber to the business/shopping centre of Lisboa. Mouraria Apartment is a bold luxury statement in the quiet shambles of the old moorish quarter; a quaint area famous for its Faro music and artists, in the obvious throes of re-development.

Although the area around the property is run down, there are other properties like the Mouraria Apartments that have been built in what is a clear sign of gentrification. And walking up the steep hill to the nearby shops and restaurants can be a challenge though interesting as one gets to view the historic neighbourhood. For us there wasn't enough activity locally, but there is a famous restaurant known for great food ,Estamine Art Bistro.

The apartment is very clean and comfortable beds. Lots of space in the apartment with everything you need. Amazing shower and fantastic view from the balcony. Location is good but on a few hills- comfortable shoes always needed

On arrival our flight got delayed and we had nobody to met us because it was after 6pm so entrance into the apartment took a while in the pouring rain. Host was helpful with instructions but would have liked more help. Also on departure we had to leave at 11am and nowhere to store luggage but we did get recommended LUGGit.

The apartment itself was gorgeous. Beautifully decorated, large and spacious. The balcony was lovely - had a fabulous view of the Castle. The location was quite good too, not too noisy and about a 20-30 min walk to centre of Lisbon. The pool was nice and big, not very deep though.

The neighbours who are permanent residents. It was not made clear to us when the pool was closed at night and we thought it was open till 10pm. We went down to the pool one evening around 8pm and after about half an hour the neighbour came out and told us the pool was closed. He was very rude and even called the rental company we were renting apartment with to complain. We were very upset by this as we were not clearly told it was 8pm closing time. We also were making very minimal noise by the pool and we would have left immediately if we knew it was closed, which we did when he gave out to us. The shower in the en-suite bathroom was not working when we arrived and could not be used. It was not fixed until over 30 hours later. This would not have bothered us except we paid for early check in and as there was 4 of us staying in the apartment we needed the extra shower. I was advised that because of this inconvenience we would be refunded the cost of early check in but never received the payment. There was also a few things missing from the apartment- iron, ironing board, tea towel, cleaning supplies. Overall it’s a lovely apartment that could be improved very easily.

Clean, roomy, good storage and good location.

No iron, insufficient mugs, air conditioning didn’t work in bedroom during the night making it difficult to sleep.

only a few hangers in the bathroom for towels, a big full-body mirror would be nice

This apartment is beautiful and everything in it feels good quality. The pool area is an oasis in the city. Good communication and friendly host.

Couple of glasses needed restocking. Some oil, salt and pepper to cook with would be appreciated. But really these are minor things. Oh, and missing a corkscrew for the amazing vinho verde
