Salvatore was a great host who went above expectations and even did me a big personal favor. The room is modern and spacious and most importantly has a good AC. Less than 2 min walk to the ruins.

The apartment was a part of an old XIX-th century villa. The localization was great! Only 2 min walking from ruins of Ercolano, 8 min from Ercolano Scavi Station, 15 min walking from the nearest, small beach. The room itself was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. But what I liked the most was our wonderful host, who gave us so many advices on what to see, where to eat etc. and was constantly available to answer all of my questions!
We loved everything about this place

a beautiful 200 year old villa set in the centre of Ercolano with good connections to Naples and Pompei and walking distance to the site of Herculaneum. Salvatore was a great host with lots of local information.
More of a comment. it’s an old building and the rooms are on the third floor. As long as you know this when booking it’s not a problem.

Location was great. Walking distance to the ruins, Mt Vesuvius transport, and train station. The room was very clean and bed was comfortable.
The breakfast was at a local coffee shop. It was okay. I went somewhere else on my second morning.

Salvatore was fantastic. Went out of his way to make sure we could check in early and easily.
Clean, comfortable and convenient.
Great stay to visit nearby Herculaneum.

Surprising old place to stay in the middle of Ercolano, a very nice napoletan city.

Everything about Villa Cua exceeded our expectations. From stepping into the inner courtyard to resting on our little balcony viewing Mt Vesuvius. Everything was perfect! Oh and did I mention the original 300 year old ceilings and the original balcony doors? So Wonderful.
As for location it couldn't be better. From Naples we took a regional train to Ercolano Scavi. Pay attention to the station map on the train because there are no announcements. From the station it was downhill all the way and easy to find with Google maps.
Steps, literally steps, away from the ancient ruins of Herculaneum, Villa Cua is also just a 15 minutes train ride (4€for 2 people) to Pompeii and right beside the train station there's a bus that will sell you tickets and drive you almost to the top of Mt Vesuvius.
Everything about our stay was wonderful and we couldn't have asked for a more gracious host.
You won't regret this stay!
Ummm, nothing? If you're on foot like we were it was perfect. I guess if you're driving you might find it a tight squeeze for your car but the inner courtyard holds at least 6 vehicles so I wouldn't worry about that.

Once you make it up the stairs (great view), and through the doors, you are welcomed with great staff, the room was better than expected. Very comfortable, clean and everything worked. You are given so much info about the surrounding area and staff are on hand to help with any questions. Amazing location (right by the ruins of Herculaneum - amazing place!).
Highly recommend this place.

Excellent communication with Salvatore throughout so felt well looked after.Spacious room with plenty of ventilation but also good air-conditioning. Spotlessly clean and fresh towels every day. Breakfast at welcoming bar 2 minutes away. Very secure and close to shops, archaeological site and station. Excellent value for money.
Stairs might be a problem for some but were fine for me and I was helped with luggage on arrival.

The room is stunning, spacious and very very clean!
Me and my Mrs absolutely loved the decor, modern and beautiful.
The owner Salvatore, was always helpful, informative and a pleasure to have as a host! Would recommend to anyone….definitely stay here again!
Couldn’t fault the stay.
The stairs to the room upon entrance can be a bit tiring after a long day out…..that’s just being picky.
The outer building looks a bit rough but that’s due to the age of the building. Stunning inside tho!

Salvatore made contact and met us at the carpark and walked us down to the apartment, he talked us through all the sites and train times, the train station was very close about 7 mins from the apartment, sorrento about an hour and napoli about 30 mins. The apartment was situated 2 minutes from the archeology site of herculaneum, we also found a great little vintage clothing market 5 minutes from the apartment, opposite the carpark was a nice little bar,the staff were very accommodating,

The room was very nice, equipped with everything and exceptionally clean. Very well positioned, easy access to the train station, to the beach and a lot of stores in the area.
Not related to the accomodation, but more to the area. All tourists need to pay attention to traffic, regardless if they are driving or walking. Slightly dangerous compared to other countries.

We were able to communicate easily in English with the manager.
We were met by three gentlemen to show us the car park and assist us with bags to our room.
The hotel includes a modern decor within a historical building located close to restaurants, shops and the archaeological park.
The room had a great view of the golden mile and mount Vesuvius.
The manager gave a pleasant overview of the buildings history, how to use their WIfi and online catalogue to nearby services..
The car park was located about 250m away from the building. There was no easy on street parking on the golden mile ,which made it challenging when packing the car with lots of luggage and young children (only a minor inconvenience, as in Italy, do what they do and park anywhere temporarily while.you pack the car).

Nice and modern place hidden in a crapy area and crapy building. Host was helpfull, everything well organised.
Breakfast was just a coffee and a pastry, which was not very tasty, which we skipped on the rest of the days. Noisy air conditioner. Bed sheets were dirty.

Very friendly and accommodating host, clean rooms and facilities, and close to the train and Archeological Park. Balcony had a view of Vesuvius.
The only thing we found uncomfortable were the pillows. Breakfast was a pastry and coffee I purchased yogurt and fruit at a local grocery.

The room was pleasant and clean. Our hosts were very accomodating. We loved the view from just outside the hotel. Our hosts shared the history of the building along with a digital brochure with attractions and eating suggestions. Plus, it was only about 200 meters from the entrance to Herculaneum.
Nothing comes to mind.

The room was so comfortable with a view of Vesuvius from the balcony, which was so lovely!
Super close walk to the train station with easy access to popular sites, Naples centre, a short walk away from a beautiful beach and breakfast was included too!!
Nothing to dislike!

A map for Ercolano's ruins and brochure with the history of the building and recommendations for where to eat was given as soon as we arrived. It definitely made our stay more interesting and sparkled a curiosity to come back.
There was a problem with the lock, but it was quickly fixed.

The room was very new and spacious and cleaning people came in everyday. Salvatore, the proprietor was attentive to our every need, very prompt with all requests and a joy to work with. As an example we had an internet problem at about 9:30 at night. He immediately came over to the building and fixed it. This is a great place to stay. I could not recommend it more highly.
The only word of caution. The suite of rooms are on the 4th floor so for people with mobility problems it could be an issue. That said, Salvatore was perfectly willing to carry all of our luggage up to our room for us. It's just the kind of host that he is.

Salvatore was extremely responsive and accommodating. Rooms were clean and modern. Very close to Herculaneum and restaurants.
A/C had trouble keeping up but eventually cooled the room. It was 97 F outside. Morning shower was hot for 2-3 minutes then cold for my wife’s shower. Facility is on the 4th floor with no lift which should have been told at time of booking.

We had a great stay at Villa Cua. Very nice amenities & very clean accommodation. Salvador was extremely helpful and helped us quickly check in and additional information about area. It was very convenient to Herculaneum which was our reason to visit. Overall highly recommend.

We loved our stay here! Villa Cua is in a historic building. The rooms are very modern but retain the beauty of the historic villa. There are tall ceilings, balconies overlooking the street, a tile shower and comfortable beds. The location is quite central but also very quiet. It is within a few blocks of the Herculaneum ruins. The hosts are extremely helpful and gave good recommendations for restaurants and local things to do. Breakfast is coffee and pastries at a nearby coffee shop. Note: there is no elevator.

The property was in a fantastic location and setting, with stunning historical surroundings. Beautiful balcony views of the sea and Vesuvius from the room. Couldn’t have picked a better place- we’ll be back for sure!
The breakfast included could have been more substantial for the price.
