Line restaurant was amazing. Grounds were beautiful.

Difficult to get cappuccino in the morning without buying full, expensive breakfast.

the hotel is lovely and well kept. The gardens and pool area are beautiful with the Roof top bar providing beautiful views for a night cap. The rooms are very modern and clean. The hotel offered a free shuttle to the local train station in the town of Ercolano (where there were more restaurants, and a 25-minute walk away from Portici which had more restaurants)

This is a needle in a haystack. There aren't really any things to do in the area without getting into town. The pool menu is limited and the food not so great with a hefty price tag (e.g. 6 euros for fries and our burger came undercooked). I would recommend getting food from the petrol station or supermarket across the road. Bear in mind that a taxi to Pompeii is 60 euros, the same to go into Naples. Both are a 15-minute drive. The driving in naples is manic so I also wouldn't recommend renting a car. The trains are terrible and unless you're going to Naples City Centre, do not get the train or try to get the train. The boards say there's a train going to Sorrento, but never comes.

Beautiful property and very comfortable rooms. Excellent service.

Hotel is close to a large road, but when you drive through the gate you find this hidden gem in very beautiful surroundings. The restaurant serves great food, and the pool area is also very nice

The grounds, the house, the staff who were very helpful and friendly. That the hotel was helpful to set up some excursions in the area and to the volcano itself (as we were very interested in getting to the top of mount vesuvio). The restaurant was great! Good selection of wine and the best breadsticks ever. Fine dining and expensive of course, but an amazing experience to try!

We liked it all! But just so you are aware the hotel is a car/taxi ride outside of Naples, in the next 'area' so it may be hard to get to places, although the hotel has a shuttle service to their closest train station which is very helpful- as we did a day trip to Pompeii etc.

It was way out of the city, which is good if you have all facilities at the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel has only one restaurant which is open in the morning - for breakfast and evening - for diners . Does not cater for people with allergies. There is a small outdoor area near the swimming pool where you can eat lunch, but not very helpful at 38C. Rooms have no sitting area and our junior suite had only 1 chair and no table.So we couldn’t even eat at our room…. Basically the photos you can see in the booking.com website are a bit deceptive, as there is no space for a couple to sit and have a coffee at the junior suite. We had to go to a nicer and after area if the city for food and coffees and each time we had to pay over 30 Eauroplink for a taxi.

great location, accommodation in a beautiful park, the main building combines history with the present, the great pool was a joy, unfortunately only open until 18:30. breakfast excellent, hot breakfast with extra charge the rooms in the depandance where we stayed were of good quality and tastefully furnished, only the small cellar window near the ceiling surprised us, a hatch that opens; a note at the accommodation is indicated, but somehow we could not imagine it
