Wonderful location on the beach. The set-up of the house was perfect for our group of 16. Beds were comfortable. I had to text the property manager a couple of times, and she was always quick to respond. A few minor things that would make the property even better: 1) house could use a deep cleaning, 2) a few newer pots and pans are needed, 3) it would be nice if the hot tub was included in the price of the rental. Overall, we loved it and are considering renting it again in the future.

Perfect location & layout for our family! Definitely needs to upgrade on mattresses & sheets (needs new mattresses & oversize sheets that fit)on the main level of the home! The WiFi needs a boost for the 22 people that can stay in this home, we did not have it for the 15 that was there during our stay. No WiFi in the bottom portion of the home & that's where all of our young adults hung out! Pool furniture needs upgrading as well! Price goes up each year but quality definitely went down this year!

We were very pleased with this beach rental. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed as well as the chairs and toys for the beach. The Ice machine in the garage is a game changer and the pool held all of us with floats with no problem. Any issues were dealt with by the owner immediately. The only improvement we can say may be a window air conditioner for the bedroom near the garage that gets hot at night.

We had a great experience at this rental. The highlight is the very comfortable covered porch with a great view of the beach and plenty of seating along with the very inviting pool. Access to the beach was easy with the very short walk. Nice to have the shower and foot cleaner as you come back to the beach to keep sand from getting to the pool and house. The location is in between all the big hotels so the beach isn't overly crowded even on the 4th of July. The house is well appointed with a great kitchen and big dinning table. The layout is a little strange but going in and out side to get to some of the rooms was really no problem since the weather is so warm in the summer. It's a pleasure to head outside. Only thing I'd like to have had that wasn't there were some games for the kids and a griddle but there were plenty of jelly roll pans and saucepans to make anything work. Thank you for a great stay!

A wonderful vacation stay for our large adult family of 21 ages 19 to 80. With no small children and all the grandchildren are not married, we made the sleeping arrangements work. Beautifully furnished and the covered back deck was the best feature for us. Only negative was the hot tub which was spa tub-did not heat >87(paid for it) but management reimbursed us. Great stay.

Beds were slightly rearranged from listing (trundle bed was located adjacent to the second king bedroom), but images were otherwise accurate. Wonderful areas both inside and outside for large groups. Aside from a couple gaps (which we blocked with chairs), railings on the deck were close enough to keep a toddler from squeezing through. Hot tub was well heated but difficult to enter, exit, and lean back in due to the shape of the brick around the edge (no handrails present). Hot tub heat was deactivated one day early on our last day. Calling the help desk resulted in it being reactivated silently within an hour. Doors blocked sound well, heard minimal noise from other occupants. Beds were comfortable. Grill propane cans were not refilled during visit despite being told that they would be. One door lock downstairs was nonfunctional upon arriving. Maintenance arrived after a few hours to fix it. Open-top trash cans located in garage were not picked up by waste services, despite instructions to leave them by the curb. Beach access was ideal. Rental umbrellas and chairs directly on the beach were expensive; we opted to purchase our own. Two of the beach chairs provided by the property were in disrepair with sharp, exposed metal. We did not use those chairs. Wi-fi speeds were very slow. Massive fridge and dining room table, well-equipped kitchen & wonderful stovetop. Altogether a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation rental, particularly for those who want lots of beach time.

The house, rooms, and setup was perfect for our stay with 6 adults and 3 kids. We had 2 rooms that we didn't even end up using. The location was ideal and driveway space was great for the kids too. The kitchen had all the appliances we needed and more.The beach access was great. The property rental agency was very communicative and responsive with our issues when they arose. Cons: Had to buy and fill a propane tank since the 3 near the grill were empty, the area near the grill had a bunch of deflated pool toys (aka trash) and the grill hadn't been cleaned in a while, the wifi did not reach to the basement so no one could work remotely down there, the TVs in the bedrooms were unable to be used since we couldn't figure them out, the pool and hot tub had chipping tiles and cement glaze at the bottom. Also, the walls of the pool area had very large chipping pieces on it. Some of the cons were not what I was expecting for the price it cost to rent this property.

As others have put in the reviews, the photos shown on the listing are exactly what we found when we arrived. We had 10 adults on a golf trip. The home was spacious and very accommodating.

This was for my 50th birthday that is in October, we had such a wonderful time the pool area is amazing and we spent most of our time there the decor was beautiful in all the rooms, i liked the corkiness of the lay out of the house and how the bedrooms were, my only thing is i wish in the description that the bottem bedroom it said how it was laid out other than that was perfect and that truly wasn't an issue, the location was great ( i usually stay in surfside area) kitchen was well equipment, we definitely talked of staying next year

Our rental experience was great! Luxury Beach Rentals was responsive to our questions and did an excellent job. The house was perfect! My only comment would be the pool although clear, clean and serviced appropriately did have broken glass tiles along the sides. These broken tiles could potentially cut a swimmer if the swimmer rubbed up against the tiles. But all in all the entire property was wonderful.

We found this house very good for our large 18 person family. Very close to beach and pool was large and used many times per day. Bedroom layouts were a little quirky having to walk through a bedroom to get to another bedroom but, with parents and kids this worked well.

We had 19 people in our party, and thoroughly enjoyed this house! It was beyond what is described in the pictures! And very spacious! Large kitchen, updated appliances, and well stocked kitchenware! Beds were comfortable, and plenty of them! Pool was fantastic, and plenty of seating! Loved the deck, with its carpeted floor for the little ones, lots of seating and great view! We sat out on the deck a lot, perfect for our large family! I can't say enough nice things about it! Plan to look into booking it again for next year!

We have stayed in four different beachfront houses and this was definitely the best. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we have experienced. The house was clean and we loved how close we were to the beach. The pool is large and that was a great break from the ocean. Also, management was very responsive when we had a question or wanted to add something like turning on the heat to the hot tub. I would highly recommend Under The Sea to anyone who needs a house of this size.

The rental was clean and updated with plenty of seating both inside and out. You're right on the beach with a huge private pool and less than a 10 minute drive to all the restaurants. Some of the bedrooms are only accessible from the outside or through another bedroom, but it was perfect for 3 families with a total of 10 people. They also came out within an hour on a Sunday to turn on the pool heat, which was great.

Positives of the home - view of the ocean is amazing. Huge back deck w/ plenty of seating. Size of house was plenty big for 12 of us. It advertises sleeps 22 but not sure that would make for a comfortable stay given the layout. Kitchen is large and recently remodeled and is stocked with anything you might need. Negatives - the house is old and has a musty smell. There were several rooms that were a bit dirty, floors upswept., some decorative pillows had blood stains on them and bed pillows have seen better days. Very thin and with drool marks. Pool and 'hot' tub do not come heated so I purchased heat and it wasn't heated when we arrived. Mgmt company showed up within 2 hours of my call to turn on the heat and told me they'd credit me $190.00. When I called the management company about the above they indicated they would credit me (04/05/2023) $110.00. I've not yet seen the credit but will give it a few more days. They did indicate they would report my concerns to the cleaning company. Make sure you understand the layout of the house. Several rooms are only accessible from the outside of the house or from the pool deck. Not really an issue for us but it could be with a family with small children or teens. If bringing a large party be prepared to share rooms as several rooms have 2-3 beds in them. Pool is in need of a serious renovation. None of the above ruined our vacation but for $6800 for 5 nights I expected a bit better.

Under the Sea has one of the best locations in Myrtle Beach on the Golden Mile. The house is right on the beach and has one of the largest pools in the area. The house is within minutes to key attractions and restaurants. The pool area is ideal for entertaining large groups - plenty of chairs, a gas grill, and a covered porch that connects to the living room area. The dining table is huge and the open concept is great for vacations. The only downside is that the place is getting to be a little dated and the lay-out of bedrooms is very awkward (you need to go outside and/or through other rooms to get to some rooms).

Poor Description/ poorly equipped!
The description does not tell you that during the often heavy summer rains that one of the bedrooms on the bottom level floods and smells musty. It does not tell you that you walk thru one of the lower bedrooms to get to the bathroom so it really isn't 3 bedrooms in the Lower level it is 2. Very awkward to share with anyone other than immediate family. Lots of tripping hazards both upstairs and down. It does not tell you that the kitchen does not have crockpot, enough coffee cups, or a decent frying pan. You pay extra to heat the spa, which we did, however it worked just one night and didn't work correctly after that. And be sure if you are going to rent this house you bring your own TP, Shampoo, Soap, beach towels etc. because they are not provided. This house has a lot of potential but the personal, thoughtful touches have been missed.

WOW! This house was actually better than described and the photos didn't do it justice. We had a multi-gen reunion and couldn't have been happier with this rental. The proximity to the beach made it so enjoyable too. The pool & hot tub were marvelous. Lots of chairs and lounges too. The kitchen is SO well equipped and with top quality products. The description didn't mention the 2nd refrigerator in the garage & the industrial type ice maker so those two additions were huge! The TV in the front room wasn't working. I called on a Sunday requesting someone swing by on Monday to fix and a maintenance person came by that day! Great property management service!

Fantastic views with giant pool and hot tub
Overall this property was fantastic. We traveled with extended family, 9 adults and 10 kids ranging in age from 3-16 years old. The views and proximity to the beach was fantastic. We all really enjoyed being able to hop from beach to pool any time we wanted. And loved walking the beach to find sharks teeth and shells. Kitchen was nice and we had everything we needed. We cooked multiple times at the house and grilled burgers and hot dogs one evening. The commercial grade ice machine in the garage was awesome so we always had plenty of ice for our big group. And there were two washers and two dryers in the garage to keep up in laundry for everyone easily enough. We only had two real complaints. First that none of the tvs were smart tvs so we had no way to watch netflix, hulu, prime, etc. And secondly that the internet was very spotty and only worked some of the time. So km assuming if i had brought a firestick or roku to watch apps on it prob wouldnt have worked that well anyhow. There is cable tv but some of the tvs we just couldnt even get to come on. The bedrooms were all comfortable but had a little bit of a strange set up. The twin bed room is only accessible by the garage or by private entry door. No accessibility through the house. So while it is nice to have that extra space younger kids would likely not want to be in there all alone. With having the small kids it was a bit concerning not having any kind of safetly net/gate or automatic pool cover to secure the pool area but all in all we had a fantastic time at this home and would definitely consider renting again if we returned to the myrtle beach area.

House was as described and location was nice. That is only reason for 2 stars. Could have been cleaner (dirty and dusty under chairs/furniture). Biggest issue was that for the first three days+ of our trip the pool was completely green. It was green when we arrived Saturday and not fully rectified for us to safely use til Wednesday. The company was extremely hard to get a timely response from. They initially said ‘the last guest had an issue with that too’ OH OK so you knew this was a problem but you’re not fixing it properly. Even after the fact when communicating with them now to address these concerns I’ve waited over a week for an email response. They agreed to reimburse the optional pool and hot tub heat stating that is standard when there are issues with the pool or hot tub- well DUH. When a large family is paying a LARGE amount to stay at your property for 1 week, the additional SMALL refund they offered to me is NOT acceptable. If you stay here be prepared for lack of response or effort if you have an issue. Again, checked in Saturday and contacted them everyday, multiple times a day, and our issue was not fixed til Wednesday. Friday was our last full day in the house. Disappointing!

Random lip in the kitchen flooring to trip over. Had to put shoes over it to stop hitting it.
The rooms by the garage are not very well air conditioned.
The room downstairs with 3 beds smelled really bad. Like a can of pledge exploded.

Wonderful stay
The house was amazing ! The photos don’t do it justice. We really had a great time during our stay. The entire family had a wonderful time. Couldn’t have asked for a better set up that fit perfect for every single person in our party. We plan to return to this same location!

Plenty of room
This house was amazing. The area and location was perfect. Secluded but close to everything. Hot tub and pool by the beach was such a great bonus. Teens loved the living space downstairs. House was very nicely decorated/remodeled and still had plenty of charm. We hope to come back some time. Huge house to accommodate everyone.

Excellent location on the beach!
Pros: location, large kitchen, large dining area, back porch, pool, hot tub, double washers and dryers, ice machine in garage, management company was very responsive
Cons: Needs some maintenance, 3 bedrooms had exterior entrances which was fine but unexpected, the half bath outside has no outlets which was a problem when wanting to use it for hair drying post shower, 2 bedrooms adjoining outside half bath sleep 6 but the bathroom for that entire space is in one of the bedrooms. We were a party of 6 sharing that space and it was weird having four people having to walk into our room to use the bathroom in the night or for some of us to have to use the outside half bath to get ready after showers. It’s an awkward space. Also, the dining room table is directly above that bedroom and it is loud as people drag their chairs in and out. There is no noise abatement of any kind. Finally, the bedding in some rooms seems to be undersized—full bedding on queen sized beds. We couldn’t keep the sheets tucked in and the sheets and coverlets did not adequately cover two people as they slept. We also got complaints that the two single bedrooms off the garage were not particularly clean. I did not go into that space but apparently the carpets need to be replaced.

Our stay was very nice and the pool area was really nice. Pool was very big and that is where we spent most of our time. The kitchen was perfect but no space to put any groceries as they were full with dishes....also could have used more coffee cups. The bedroom situation was odd to say the least. 3 Lauren beds in one room just useless and 2 room you have to walk thru a bedroom to get to another bed. Not a good situation for adults...even kids might not like, The 2 bedrooms downstairs (basement area) were almost musty smelling. We had a nice time but the configuration of the house is a little odd! We think for the money should have been a little bit more taken care of especially cushions on furniture outside on porch. Outside area hadn’t been cleaned in years it looked like...but the porch all and all was good with a great view of ocean. The bedrooms by the garage we’re pretty much awful but someone had to stay there.We did have 12 people with a baby ...it accommodated us but we have stayed in Myrtle in houses that were a little better set up for people to have their own bedrooms. But overall our experience was good! Would not really say it holds 22 people tho.

Not a good situation for adults...even kids might not like, The 2 bedrooms downstairs (basement area) were almost musty smelling. We had a nice time but the configuration of the house is a little odd! We think for the money should have been a little bit more taken care of especially cushions on furniture outside on porch. Outside area hadn’t been cleaned in years it looked like...but the porch all and all was good with a great view of ocean. The bedrooms by the garage we’re pretty much awful but someone had to stay there.
We did have 12 people with a baby ...it accommodated us but we have stayed in Myrtle in houses that were a little better set up for people to have their own bedrooms. But overall our experience was good! Would not really say it holds 22 people tho.

Awesome place!
Clean property with great amenities. Perfect location. The beach access and private pool were amazing. The property manager was super friendly and communicated promptly. Easy check in process. The floor plan was a little different than advertised but a very minimal discrepancy :) enjoyed our stay and will be back.
We got married on the beach and both sides of our family came to stay at the property and it was divided perfectly with the huge rooms. Everyone had their own space!

An extended family vacation just steps from the Ocean, pool and hot tub were great, lots of space, a lot of family games on the porch. Even a little backyard space for Kan Jam and Corn Hole.
