The staff were so welcoming and friendly. A special mention to Andrew who is the most attentive barman I have ever met, always checking to see if he could get us anything and making sure we were ok. I can not speak highly enough of Andrew, he was so friendly & just had a loving persona, he would make anyones day just with his smile, laugh and friendly vibe. The rooms were very comfortable & the bed is one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on. The double hanging egg chairs on the rooms balcony was the best idea we have seen in a lodge, so relaxing and comfortable that we will now be buying one when we get home. The food was great and the inclusive drinks were what we normally drink - wines, beers, ciders, spirits. Even a mini bar in the room which I’m sure you can top up anytime but we didn’t need to. The game drives were good, animals were few and far between only seeing 2 of big 5 but just being in the parks is enough for us as we have done plenty of game drives and just making our way through all the parks.

The lodge does cater for larger groups so can be quite busy at times and staff are more attentive to the groups. Majority of our meals were buffet meals outdoors which is beautiful but where they set up there are a lot of bees & for someone who is allergic to them this is not ideal, just meant I didn’t get to see the full menu or eat much as I didn’t want to get stung. They moved all the shaded pool loungers quite early in the day to set up for the outdoor dining, only leaving some on the sunny side of pool.

The food, the beautiful cabin and the surroundings are superb but by far, the personalised attention to detail is unmatched. Each guest is catered to as if they are family and it's honestly spectacular to experience. This was our second visit and there is always a danger that an establishment will not live up to the previous experience but 4 years later and nothing has changed in terms of the quality and experience.

The food was delicious and it wasn't too much trouble to make my toddlers a toasted sandwich and chips when they didn't want what was on offer.

Outstanding. The staff is exceptional. Our guide, Hein, is one of the best I've ever seen. We had a family from Taiwan with us. Hein did everything possible to give the 4 year old boy an unforgettable experience. For all staff, nothing is too much and they all assist with a smile. This was one of our best lodge experiences. The food was OUTSTANDING!!!!! Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

Nothing, nothing, nothing

We spent 2 nights here and I must say it was excellent . very very amazing experience. The stuff were amazinggg. Busi the receptionist was friendly and she made sure everything was perfect ❤️ bartenders KG and William made our stay phenomenal. Ask for a cocktail,,,KG got you! He makes the best cocktails ever and he makes it with passion. The food was just delicious throughout our stay. Thank you nico and beauty. I promise we got back home fat lol And the waiters were lovely 😍 thank you kenny rosina and John. They were 👌. The game driveee phewwww!!!! It was the most crazily amazingly awesome experience everrrr. Our driver's name was Han. God bless him. He was really really fan to be around soo professional, he knows his stuff very well. Patient too. Thank you han for being you. 🤩 thank you safari management Jimmy, Tom and more you guys are doing an amazing. The rooms were clean all the time. The lovely ladies would clean twice a day. All in all safari plains were An amazing life experience. They make sure what you paid for is there and many more. Thank you everyone. You guys are doing great things. Love you all. Hope to see you very soon. ❤️👌✌️

we think we may have arrived when many staff had gone in leave…the service was very slow and unfortunately Thomson’s of the food was a little cold. We feel a little more attention to detail would make this a wonderful stay. It was a real shame not to experience a braai during our 3 night stay 😢.
