it is not NEW as described, it’s 24 years old built in 1999. I was really expecting NEW and I was so disappointed beyond words. No I would have not stayed here had I known. This is my worse experience with booking.com. I did consider finding alternative accomodation. The layout is weird, possibly from a subdivided larger apartment. The second bed has no ceiling (no privacy) and one has to the access the ensuite bathroom through the main bedroom from the 2nd bedroom. Likewise the main bedroom is via the 2nd bedroom. We had to purchase towels as the towel provided were rags! The carpet has recently been updated, but there is still dried vomit on the skirting boards near the bathroom. The extractor fan in the kitchen was dripping with grease, not enough crockery or utensils, generally dirty. The shower / tiling had filthy gout and mould, it not what you expect from a penthouse with a high booking.com score. I was travelling for business and need a tax invoice. Between Booking.com that take the money and the owner who does not provide one, surely asking for a tax invoice should not be that hard?

It's a splendid appartment with views over the Viaduct Harbour on the west, main lounge/deck side, and North Head and Rangitoto from the bathroom at the other end.

Aaron was excellent to deal with and made our arrival and departure very easy.
Perhaps some more cutlery and plates and a coffee machine would be a great added touch for such a great apartment.

It was central, with a view of the bridge and the living area was modern. The host, Aaron, was a great communicator and flexible, even allowing as an early check-in.
The view of the water was more obscured than anticipated. The bathroom was filthy with significant mould in the shower. There was also mould over the aluminum door frames in the living area.
The room was lit at nighttime as there were no curtains (only sun glare blinds) this did have an impact on sleep.
Used coffee was provided in an open bag of instant but no plunger to accompany the open bags of plunger grinds, which was a shame.

The layout of the apartment could have been better, having to walk through the main bedroom to get to the bathroom, probably more suited for a family, rather than two couples.

This property was at a great location and was very handy to all amenities. We were greeted kindly with our key and the bed was comfortable. So wonderful to have a washer and drier. The apartment was spacious and the view was amazing.

The landlord was so lovely, he was talkative and happy and made my partner and myself feel very relaxed. I would like to stay in the penthouse again once covid is over, very happy with the privacy and how lovely and quiet it was. Loved the bed and especially the couch, my partner and I are going to invest in the same one!.
I noticed there was a screw handing out of the handrail in the bathroom, there were some marks and scuffs on the walls, in the bathroom the surroundings of the windows were a little dirty.

Aaron was awesome to deal with - very friendly, full of information, and more than helpful. The location was fabulous as we were right at the viaduct, an easy walk to the city centre, ferries, restaurants, and supermarkets. The room is spacious with laundry downstairs, and kitchen, bedroom, dining, and lounge all upstairs. The 2nd bed was in a cubby which was fine for children - bit small for adults. We will definitely stay here again tho.
The property is a little tired but was assured by Aaron that it is getting a makeover very soon.

Awesome location and view. Open plan living. Great place for a couple to stay rather than 2 couples.
Beds to close together and can only access the bathroom through the main Bedroom - can be awkward.
