Camp Willow Cottage 2 Lake Dunlap Guadalupe River
Les chalets du Camp Willow sont situés sur le lac Dunlap. 1 chambre avec lit queen, mezzanine avec 2 lits queen et canapé-lit dans le salon principal. Cuisine complète et 1 salle de bain complète. Barbecue au charbon de bois et laveuse / sécheuse dans la cabine extérieure.
Le lac Dunlap fait partie de la rivière Guadalupe. Il s'agit d'un lac à niveau constant conçu pour le ski, le farniente et la natation. Calme, serein, un endroit idéal pour décompresser et se détendre loin de toutes les foules. 2 1/2 acres de pelouse verte luxuriante avec de nombreux arbres de 100 pieds de haut. Nous avons 600 pieds de façade sur l'eau avec un nouveau quai / quai de pêche et une rampe de mise à l'eau. Un endroit idéal pour pêcher, nager ou simplement se détendre. C'est un lac à niveau constant, donc nous sommes toujours pleins d'eau.
Nous sommes situés à 5-10 minutes de Schlitterbahn, de la rivière Comal, de la rivière Guadalupe et de Gruene Hall.
Si vous avez un groupe plus important, nous avons un chalet correspondant près de celui-ci qui peut accueillir vos membres de groupe supplémentaires. The Cottage was small and cozy. Was not to thrilled on location. Hoping for a closer swim area. Great for fishing, jetski and boating though. Host very responsive. The overall stay was good.

There are several cottages on this property with a huge one or 2 acre backyard. You walk to the waterfront and you can stay there all day long, which is what we did.

The place was exactly as expected. The yard was magnificent with giant trees and plenty of shade and ample room. Hopefully they get the damn repaired soon so the lake will be up to the standard level.

We had a great time staying here. I was disappointed that the floating dock is not there. To get to the water there is a path with a small area. We didn't go down to the lake while we were there, however we had a great time and it is beautiful!

If only I had gone to book this 2 days later than I did, I would have seen the review from someone who shares the exact discontent! The pictures are NOT what is there. There is no beautiful waterfront like this person advertises. It is overgrown and nasty. We had intentions of being in or near the water the entire time because ITS JULY IN TEXAS!! It was hot and miserable. The cabin is dirty, it smells, and it DOES NOT SLEEP 8. The extremely uncomfortable futon downstairs sleeps one. I messaged the property manager the minute we got there. She conveniently didn’t respond until we were gone saying how sorry she was. When I asked her how she would make it right…nothing. Spend your money somewhere else. A hotel would have been better. If I could post the pictures I took as proof for my credit card dispute, I would.

No water access without walking through “a jungle”. No floating dock! No path to the water. Pictures were lies and when I messaged the owner no response. There is no futon so it will not occupy 8 people. We only have 6 guest but one was a grown male who was going to sleep on the futon to allows the young female adults to sleep upstairs. THIS WAS AN ISSUE!! Called Vrbo to figure what we could do. We were offered to go to a hotel which wasn’t convenient because one of our guest flew in and our vehicles were packed to the rim. The. They offered me $120 but couldn’t get the system to process it so that was a no go. Our river trip turned into a trip from hell quick! Flys were so horrible. I’ve never seen them like that anywhere. They weren’t that way anywhere else we went. These ppl should be ashamed of what they are charging!!

The cabin was a neat change of scenery and we got to see some deer on the property. The grounds are clean and easy to get in and out of but one of the reasons we choose this spot was to let the kids fish off the pier that wasn’t there. The pictures show a new pier and we didn’t find one anywhere. They had to fish off the bank which was about 10 feet wide.

Enjoyed our stay!
The girls had a great time in the little upstairs room playing games all night. It worked perfectly. My mom and I enjoyed drinking our hot tea and wine by the river. Beautiful piece of property. I can’t wait for the dam to work again.

Photos dont do justice
Only sleeps 6 not 8. The couch was not available to sleep on. Pay is too high for quality of place. A.C was horrible, hardly worked. Followed instructions but everything felt like it was going to fall apart any minute. Needs a face lift and updated everything. The dock to swim was the best part. Not worth the price. Paint chips and rotten wood all around the place.

Needs some tlc
Overall the cottage was ok i will not say i would rent this cottage again it really needs alot of tlc for the price being charged. Ended up washing the caked on dryed up spoons and forks in the kitchen and the sheets and blankets should probably not have stains either. The pictures are definitely deceiving. No tv in the guest room like pictured and the cable hardly worked oh and also killed a few roaches that we saw in the refrigerator.

Great time with family and friends. The out side I feel is what made the property. The inside was not the greatest but for a short weekend trip, it was completely fine. I would recommend for a weekend getaway.

Enjoyable family get-away
Enjoyable get-away for the family. I appreciated the view, cozy beds, wi-fi and laundry facility. The kids thought the loft was fun and enjoyed the two kitties that would visit. The meat market up around the corner is great. The unit, deck and property could use some TLC.

So first I knew going that the lake was gone because of the damn breaking but the pictures show water a lot closer than what it actually is and the pathway leading to the water is overgrown and trashy. The property itself is beautiful. The cabin not so much. The place was dirty! Knives in the drawers with food still on them. I didn’t want to sit on the couch because of the caked on dirt on the arms. The walls are cracking. The electricity stopped working on the last night in the bedroom. This could be a great place with some updates to the furniture and curtains but it was not worth the money at all. We stayed outside most of the time because the cabin felt gross.

Hidden Danger
Living quarters had roaches everywhere, the water and lower grounds were totally different from the photos on the website , the water was disgusting , stagnant with old trash all around the pier and the water was nasty ,for anyone to swim or boat or even fish in , and the lower grounds were over grown and not kept up with . looked real trashy. .

Anniversary getaway
the property was great the cabins were spacious. We truly enjoyed our stay. The only thing we had issues with was wanting to fish off the dock while the other 2 cabins wanting to swim. But we put the rods away and shared the dock an fished late at night.

Fun time
We are a family of 6, with 4 kids all under the age of 12. The cottage was clean and and the campgrounds were well kept. We had a really good time and were very lucky that we were the only ppl there during our stay (Sun-thur). Although I wish the lake water level was higher, we were still able to spend some quality time in the water and the kids loved it. We will definitely be back!

Quiet comfortable piece of heaven
We had amazing time in the river but there’s always that one neighbor that decoded the deck was thetes. It’s was hard for us getting I. The wAter cause of all there stuff. But once in floating talking laughing was amazing.we did a bonfire has s’mores it’s was 7 of us but it was not to small we all slept well. We would rent again

Great location that was quiet and spacious. Cottage was clean but could definitely be updated and broken blinds replaced. The grounds up by the cabin were well maintained, however, the lakefront is grown up and could definitely use some maintenance. The dock was great once you got down to the water.

Quiet location.
Inside was clean but run down. Not enough kitchen equipment to cook. No big cooking pots for a family of 6. No cutting boards or bowls to put sides in. Didn’t like sharing a small dock with 3 other families. But we enjoyed ourselves. Loved the fire pit and firewood and lighting outside.

Great Getaway
Great COVIDcation spot! They were very accommodating of my groups requests and quickly helped us with difficulty opening the lockbox at check in. My only suggestion would be to provide more current information about the water area with suggestions and guidance especially during COVID. Great spot overall!

This was great once upon a time.
This property was probably a wonderful spot 10 years ago. The major and minor infrastructure has been so neglected that it almost becomes comical. I hate leaving poor reviews on here because I love the idea of this Tech space. This place is a very poor representation of the pictures and, yes it is the same place but it is severely neglected since the photos were taken.
A third of the light bulbs work. Some fixtures hanging out of the ceiling. The dishwasher fell out of the cabinetry when opened. The blinds are all broken. all of the paint inside in out is either chipping, peeling, or covered in mold. The towels and sheets were clean and pleasant. The grounds are nice could use some cleanup and Maintainance. The house did not smell clean or good, we immediately opened windows to air it out. There were a few spots of blood on the comforter in the master. I just have never had to write this type of review so I will stop there.

What a great find!
The owners worked quickly with us to make a last second change to our stay. The cabin was exactly like described, the only differences being positive ones, like a newer tv than appeared in the photos. The cabin was clean and already cool when we arrived. The grounds were gorgeous and the dock made swimming really fun for the kids. We drove less than 10 minutes to rent tubes and easily went into San Antonio for shopping and dinner on the riverwalk in a short drive. This is a great place in a great location if your planning on tubing or rafting but still want to visit the city. We will definitely return.

Beyond disappointed
The main reason we rented here was the property itself and not the cabin. The photos of the property were beautiful but we we got there it was a different story. The entire riverside was completely overgrown...to the point that you can’t even see the water if you’re sitting in the red chairs. When we made it down to the dock there were broken chairs and trash everywhere. The cabin was as expected but could definitely use better cleaning and some tlc. Dirty rugs, furniture, and broken blinds. Honestly that didn’t bother me nearly as much as the misleading photos of the grounds. I’m not sure when their pictures were taken, but it doesn’t look like that now. I text and emailed Thor & Courtney and got absolutely no reply. I spoke with the people in cabin 1 (we were in 2) and they were just as upset about the property. They also contacted Thor & Courtney before they arrived and simply asked where the best place to tube from was and they were told “you can google it”. Not my idea of hospitality. I have rented multiple places through VRBO and I have never been unhappy with a single one... this was a first. I feel like you should be able to post photos in the reviews but since I can’t, I will posted a review on google maps with pictures. Just search for camp willow and you can see it there. The absolute lack of care from the owners is astonishing
