Great location with balcon on the pool and beach - owner very responsive

The actual condo was great. It was clean and the layout worked well for our family. It did sit back away from the ocean, but we still had a good view of the ocean.
The furniture in the condo was good for an oceanfront property. The only disappointment in the living space was that there was no washer and dryer in the unit. The listing had washer and dryer included, so we assumed it would be in the unit. It was not. We had to go down the hall to the community laundry room. The Tides charged $7.00 for an empty laundry card and then $2.00 to wash and $2.00 to dry each load. The card reader that you must use to load money on the card is not user friendly and you can only purchase in increments of $10.00.
The check-in process for The Tides was frustrating for everyone, including the people that were working there.
The parking was $100 for 4 days, even though it was advertised as $75.00. We were required to purchase 3 key fobs which cost $30.00 each. There is no refund when you return them. We were also required to put down a $20.00 deposit for a parking pass even though we had already paid $100.00 for valet parking which was not valet. It just means you park yourself.
The Tides also makes you use the service elevator if you are carrying anything upstairs. When you use the service elevator you must enter and exit through the stinky hot corridor.
We did enjoy our stay in the condo, but we do believe you should know everything about The Tides before booking.

The best thing about our stay was the view from the 6th floor condo slider! The pool and the ocean beyond were stunning! The condo was very conveniently located by the elevators and was well supplied with everything you need for your stay! Exceptionally clean and comfortable!

We felt the condo was beautiful and convenient. The facility was great and parking very easy. The pool and beach access was a real plus. The view is really nice and we would stay again.

Overall, we loved the location and the view of the ocean was amazing. It served our purposes, but the apartment needs some updating.

Cons:
-check in process was frustrating. Staff was unhelpful and did not go out of their way to help.
-paying $30 each for two fob’s that are non refundable is a rip off. They should be refundable.
-drywall and paint were cracking and peeling on the bathroom and bedroom. Door in bathroom had holes in it where an old hook must have been.
-window sill in master was filthy and had not been cleaned for a long time. Same with the area around the kitchen sink.
-there were no drawers to put clothes. Made it hard for a week, especially in the second bedroom, which is very small.
-remote controls for tvs were either missing or had no batteries.
-very little was stocked for us, only one roll of toilet paper and no dish towels in the kitchen.
-there were supposed to be 6 beach towels, but there were only 4.
-laundry was not in the unit and costs $2 per wash and dry. You need to buy a laundry card for $7 and add money in $10 increments. Seems like the host could provide one or two loads as part of the rental, especially at this price point.

The unit was in a nice quiet location. The pools were nice with plenty of chairs. We felt safe as there was a front desk attendant always on duty. Jorge was quick to communicate with and was even able to get us into the condo in one hour after the place we previously rented had pool renovations and only access was down the road. There were a couple of restaurants in the area that had good food. We didn’t bother with groceries so can’t speak to a full kitchen but everything we needed was there. Furniture was comfortable. We were also able to rent chairs and umbrella a short walk down the beach. Nice and relaxing!

Very nice unit. Beautiful view. Well stocked kitchen with all the tools needed to prepare food. Very handy to airport, restaurants and of course Walmart is very close by. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this particular unit. Very clean. Unit is handy to elevators, laundry room and trash
disposal. Really couldn’t have asked for a better place. Host was very easy to deal with. I would definitely stay here again. Also king bed in master was very comfortable.

Online photos don’t do justice to the view of the landscaped grounds, the pool and the beach as seen from the balcony or the living room. Nicely decorated. Comfortable beds. Master bedroom is very large but the en suite bathroom is very small. Small kitchen but well stocked. Occasional lack of privacy as people on adjoining balconies can look in on you if you sit on the sofa. Management removed the pool loungers for repair and replaced them with others but not enough, so at times we had to use our beach chairs. I expect this will be rectified soon.

We honestly were not sure if the unit would be as good as the listing stated or photos showed. The photos make it look spacious, inviting, really close to the beach with a nice kitchen. IT WAS ALL THAT and more! Just about every appliance you'd need in a kitchen is provided, the beach is closer, the pool area is well maintained, the staff at the building were very polite and helpful and the unit was so roomy and clean!
There is a Walmart & Publix that are close to get groceries, a great little Cafe in the northern Tides building and a lot of restaurants available to choose from that are walk-able or a short uber drive away.
The beds are firm, pillows fluffy and there was everything needed to make coffee in the morning (huge blessing the first morning let me tell ya ha!). Absolutely LOVED having a balcony to enjoy the great weather without having to 'people' when the beach got crowded.
Very much recommend this property!

Great location, very comfortable condo and excellent view from the balcony. Check in process was a bit hectic, but the valet attendant and employees were helpful. The pool area was great, very family friendly and being right on the beach was awesome. The only downside was the visitor policy- my parents are local and wanted to come say hi… only issue was they weren’t allowed in the pool.
Overall great and comfortable condo. Beach chairs and toys were a huge plus. We’d definitely rent again.

Family vacation
Condo was lovely. Very nice location close to elevators, trash chute, and laundry. View was spectacular. Checkin process was a little hectic but we got through it. I did not want to mention this on here but when you give 20$ for a parking pass make sure they give you a receipt. The lady that took it put it in her bottom right drawer, proceeded to tell me to come back the next day for the pass but didnt give me anything. We came back for the pass but they still didnt have any. When I checked out I was supposed to get back my 20$ but she claimed that if she didnt give me a receipt then she didnt collect it. I know for a fact I gave it to her. Not sure if there are cameras in that area or not but be on the look out for that for anyone else.
Also the room was unlocked when we first entered and all the lights were on. I am sure this was just a cleaning error but wanted to make you aware.

Get away weekend
We had a great time. The view of the ocean from the room was beautiful. Loved that the pool was very close to the beach. Everything was clean and tidy. There were beach chairs and beach towels that we could use. Did not have any issues. The property managers were excellent. Our flight was cancelled due to the tropical storm and we did not have any issues getting a refund for that day.

Great location and awesome condo!
We stayed here for Christmas 2021. We loved the location. Grocery stores were only a few minutes away. The condo is super close to the elevators and the view is spectacular.
The pools are nice, I do believe the other buildings pool is the heated one. You can rent beach chairs and umbrellas outside of the condo on the beach for the day for $35. We appreciate that beach towels were included at the condo. Security was always around which made the property feel secure.
The condo had everything we needed. They had coolers and beach equipment there. The other building has a cute little Cafe with good coffee drinks at very reasonable prices.
We attached our fob to our wrist on the required wrist band which made it easier.
Communication with Jorge and Mara was 100% top notch. He responded to me very very quickly when I would message him. He was incredibly accommodating to our family. They were great hosts!!

Amazing sunrise views, nice location
Overall a very great enjoyable stay for me and my 16 year old. We enjoyed the views, beach was never too crowded. It really comes with everything you need besides food and beverages. Definitely recommend.

I knew it would be beach view but the view was absolutely amazing. Decorated so lively and homey. Everything we needed was available. Location was ideal for our itinerary. We did not use the pool and check in is cumbersome but all in all was a great stay.

Family Vacation
We had a wonderful week! It end up being 2 properties away from where my husband and I honeymooned so it made all the more special. The condo was perfectly located. Private access to the beach was convenient and great. It was clean and spacious. We didn't realize the 2nd bathroom didn't have a shower so that was a bit of an inconvenience with a pre-teen daughter. But other than that, it was perfect!

Hollywood Beach Condo
Location is great and condo is as described, but be careful to read the fine print. We had 4 adults and only 1 shower. Should've realized this as the description does say 1 1/2 bath. The description also states it sleeps 6, which it could with the sleeper sofa in the living room. However there are no blinds or curtains on the sliding glass door, hence no privacy in the living room and the lights at night prohibit any sleep. There is extensive water damage in the master bath, which I assume is from the gap between shower door and wall. And the property owners need to fire whoever is cleaning the unit. I took my shoes off when we arrived and had dirty feet within seconds. My daughter went to use the bathroom, removed the 'sanitary' seal on the toilet lid and lifted the lid to find p**p in the toilet. Wonderful first impression. My other daughter went to sit on the couch only to find a very large toenail clipping on the back couch cushion. And when pulling back the comforter (as instructed by owners) we found a large stain - wouldn't use that comforter if you paid me to! Check-in process was not easy and is only available during business hours so watch your arrival time.

Absolutely Perfect
I cannot recommend this place enough. From the moment we walked in till the moment we left everything was perfect. The condo was exactly as promised. Very clean, everything you need, beautiful view from the balcony and they even had fans. I forgot mine so that was a lifesaver. The beds were very comfortable and the shower never ran out of hot water. Jorge and Mara made our first trip to Miami wonderful. The location is perfect. Very convenient to shopping. We will definitely be staying here on our next visit! I would give you ten stars if I could!

Very nice property
This is a wonderful vacation rental. It was very clean and the resort was wonderful. The view was amazing! The laundry room and trash shoot is right by the room. You do have to provide your own toilet paper, trash bags, etc. The property is not close (walking distance) to restaurants or the boardwalk, which is great if you are looking for a quiet beach spot. My only complaint is the beds and bedding. The king mattresses and pillows are super firm, the sofa bed squeaks, and the full bed is bouncy/lumpy. There were also no extra sheets/pillow cases provided and only two extra pillows were provided. A sheet was not available for the sofa bed, so we used a blanket. The comforters are for decoration only, but thin blankets are provided.

Amazing View
I wanted to surprise my husband with a trip to Florida. I didn't know what to expect since I picked a city I wasn't familiar with but read all the great reviews of this property. Since I wanted us to be away from the hustle and bustle of Miami I came upon this property. We were pleasantly surprised. The view from the balcony was AMAZING, we were right on the beach and the room was clean. The plan was to Uber everywhere and it worked out well. Jorge was very responsive. The only regret we had was not staying longer. We hope to return in the future.

Short Getaway
Great place and location. The unit was clean except it didn't seem like the floor had been vacuumed or swept. We had to brush our feet off before getting in bed the first night. When we arrived the WiFi was not working. Upon calling, the owners immediately walked us thru the issue (tripped breaker!) and we were good to go. Other than the floor, excellent property, location and owners. Would recommend staying at this VRBO!

Great Place to Stay
My wife and three kids and I stayed here and had a great time. The condo was as advertised. The view is amazing, and the condo is very nice. It was very clean and the pictures are 100% accurate. We will certainly look to stay here for future vacations.

Unit is fine, complex & location could’ve been better
Plenty of positives with this place; very responsive and helpful hosts, condo has a great ocean/poolside view, condo is roomy and decorated nicely, well equipped, etc. However, a couple things stuck negatively; the Tides complex is a little ran down and staff wasn’t overly friendly, location was disappointing - spent a lot on Uber/Lyft to get to (broadwalk, restaurants, shopping,etc), the units air conditioner that struggled to keep up, mold on the fridge water dispenser and in bedroom, complex pool was freezing despite being “heated” (visited in mid April) and complex requires you to have on bracelet and key fob entire time. We thought the unit was fair based on the price/quality, didn’t think the location or complex were great. Also thought Jorge was great host as he was very responsible and respectful and made sure unit was well equipped.
