Great!

Perfect location and nicely decorated room. We highly recommend this cottage. In our opinion it is suitable for 2 persons and not a family of 4 as we where. But the location is perfect close to the Beach and lots of nice restaurants closeby

A perfect little gem on the canals and very close to the beach, cafes, good restaurants and bars. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

Loved our beach house. So convenient to everything Venice Beach has to offer.
Kristen and Carol were very accommodating to our every need. Looking forward to our next visit to CA.

Why stay in a hotel when you can stay in this affordable, clean, perfect location with the comforts of a kitchen, laundry, wifi, and parking at no extra cost. My family of 4 stayed here for 7 days. We used it as our central base to explore LA. We didn’t actually enjoy the beach while we were there because it was too cool, but wow it’s perfectly located to walk to. We enjoy quiet so I found Saturday night a bit loud because you hear everything but the weekdays are quiet. I would definitely return.

Highly recommend a stay at this cottage. It's cute and clean. The owner is very responsive. We had some issues with the heat while we were there (chilly Nov nights!) and she was very quick to bring over space heaters to make sure we were comfortable. You can't beat the location - lots of fun places to eat nearby (make sure you try Baja Cantina!) and close to the beach. You won't be disappointed!

Had a wonderful stay in this very cute cottage in Venice! Kitchen was well stocked and beds were really comfy. We went for a boat ride on the canal and had a great time looking at all of the unique houses. The beach is one block away. We wished we had more time here. Thank you Carol!

Charming cottage right on canals. We enjoyed the short walk to beach and restaurants. Property manager was excellent to work with.

We really enjoyed the cottage - it's location is excellent and it's quiet at night - it's a little tight for 2 kids and 2 adults but if you're in SoCal and staying inside you're doing something wrong anyway - and it's a great place to come "home" to at night. The boat lock can be a bit sticky so consider that and you can always walk along the canals also.

We loved the location and the cottage it self. Nearly everything was the best. The only thing that we found missing was that the canals were closed the entire time we were there, keeping us from using the boats. The bikes were the best part because it was so much fun riding them on the beach's bike lane. This was probably the best time my wife and I have had in many years. Can't wait to return. Also, the owner, Carol, such a joy. She was very kind in every way. Thank you Carol.

My husband and I loved the time we stayed at this conveniently located beach cottage. The bed was wonderfully comfortable but honestly, I slept on the day bed which was just as comfortable and memory foam. We really wanted to spread out and sleep on our mini-vacation. I loved all the extras the owner had there like bikes, canoes, and beach chairs. My husband and I rode bikes from Venice through Santa Monica and it was one of the highlights. We ate around the corner at Canali Cafe as recommended in the welcome book and that was very good. If you are looking for a small place with a nicely sized kitchen in Venice, this is a great choice. I had been in LA on business earlier in the week staying in a hotel on Sunset Blvd and to compare these two is laughable. I always look for five star rated listings on VRBO to stay in. Hotels are overrated and quite often uncomfortable, dirty and loud as was my stay in the Sunset hotel. This cottage in Venice was like a retreat!

My husband and I spent three evenings in this darling cottage a couple of weeks ago. We came at the tail end of a heat wave, but thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Venice. The cottage doesn't have AC, but when the windows are open and fans are on, it cools down very quickly. The décor is adorable and the location is perfect! It was a short walk to the beach and numerous restaurants. Our favorite thing was our bike ride from Venice to the Santa Monica Pier. The only reason we are not giving it a perfect 5 stars is a small issue we experienced as we had no hot water our first evening. The owner's assistants had workers there the next morning and it was fine by that afternoon. Apparently the gas company left it off after having worked on the line to the main cottage. There was a little problem with the power going out for a bit too, but no real inconvenience. Everyone was terrific in keeping in touch with us, so we were very happy! One more FYI: If you are short like me, be careful stepping into the decorative tub. It is super cute, but I bumped my knee twice trying to step into it. Totally my awkwardness, but someone else may have the same challenge.
The best compliment I can give is that my older daughter and I are hoping to come out to LA next summer and we really hope this cottage is free so we can reserve it!

I loved the stay...everything was exactly as i had hoped...clean...comfortable...convenient.
I parked the car when I got there and rode the great cruiser bike that was included until I left...the car never moved. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a great getaway to chill and live like a local.

My husband and I had a wonderful time staying at this property. The pictures are accurate and the place is really nice and comfortable. Everything you need is provided, bikes, beach towels, etc. It is close to the beach, shops and the canal. The bed is very comfortable!!
There are two things to note when deciding to stay here. First there is no air conditioning. If you are from a location where you go from one air conditioned location to another as we do in Houston, then the house will get warm at night in the summer even with the fans on. Second, because we had to have the windows open and the fans on at night it was a bit noisy with normal household noises of the neighbors (no parties or anything like that). So between people leaving for work, walking dogs and the trash men, sleeping past 6 or 7am was impossible. It wasn't a problem for us since we are early risers but if you want to sleep in it might be an issue.
Other than the heat which we weren't used to, the place was everything we were hoping for when we booked. We really enjoyed our stay and our vacation in Venice and would definitely recommend this property!

This cottage was perfect for a weekend getaway in Venice. We attended a music festival all weekend long and it was a wonderful place to return to after a day of being on our feet. It's comfortable and clean and in a great location.

This quaint cottage is everything the reviews had stated. Very clean, absolutely perfect location, close to everything we love about Venice...the canals, beach, bike path, pier and our 2 favorite restaurants on Washington; The Terrace Café and Baja Cantina. And you can't beat the affordability! Just as fine as the nicest hotels in the area and much more comfortable! We truly felt at home. Thank you Carol.

Carol's beach cottage was exactly as described. Perfectly clean and neat, all of our vacation beach activities were provided for. We biked along the beach every morning, paddled on the canals at sunset, and walked to great restaurants every evening. The location is superb and the decor was charming. It was perfect for us as a couple, but I fear it would be quite cramped for four adults.

This is a great little place to stay for a couple. Comfortable bed, all you need in kitchen and bath. GREAT LOCATION! Easy access to the canals and the beach. Bikes, beach chairs and umbrella all provided. Good eating nearby, as well as the bike path all the way past Santa Monica. Will definitely stay again when visiting LA.
