Nous sommes à droite sur la rue de pouls de El Centro Historic District Cuenca - Calle Larga - et seulement quatre pâtés de maisons de Parque Calderón, la place principale de Cuenca. Il est une promenade facile à meilleurs restaurants de la ville, des galeries, des marchés, des magasins, des musées et des attractions que Cuenca est célèbre. Juste un bloc se trouve le célèbre Mercado 10 de Agosto, rempli de fruits bon marché frais, légumes, viandes et poissons, avec beaucoup de stands alimentaires appétissants à l'étage.

This well appointed condo is in the ideal location in Cuenca. Out the front door you are in the beautiful historic district of Cuenca and out the back door, down the stairs and you are on the Rio Tomebamba walking path so start exploring! The modern condo is beautifully decorated and the rooftop provides 360 degree view of the Cajas Mountains. The landlord is extremely responsive and more than willing to please. This is our 7th year to rent here and that says it all! We highly recommend this condo as a vacation home!

Looking for a place to stay for a week or 3 months, look no more. We stayed for 3 months and we look forward to coming back!! This apartment is in the perfect location to explore the old and new of Cuenca. Steps away from some of the most delicious restaurants and historic sights. After a day out you will step away from the hustle and bustle of the city into a serene and peaceful walkway filled with light fragrances of flowers as you make your way to your apartment. The apartment has all the modern amenities with plenty of space to relax. Head up to the private rooftop terrace with a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise, or perhaps an evening beverage to enjoy the sunset. Or just take in the panoramic view of the city that is yours to enjoy. Take a leisurely walk along the river or sit on the balcony and watch the Hummingbirds, Cuenca has so much to offer and during your stay, Nogal is the ideal place to call home.

This experience started before our arrival, setting the tone for our 5 star experience. The communication, house guide, and detail prior to arrival from Bruce was appreciated. Cecelia greeted us on arrival and showed us around the home, having her near provides peace of mind for our stay. The views and location are perfect, we can’t wait to enjoy this property on a return trip. The stay included unexpected cleaning service for our length, a luxury. The details of fine quality bedding, towels, robes and mattress, provided the best sleep and comfort. Arrival is well thought, including flowers, wine, and chocolate. We were in a safe environment, within a beautiful complex, walkable to all sites, restaurants, and shopping. Thank you for the wonderful stay. We love Cuenca.

This is our 5th year to spend two months in Cuenca and it is the perfect home away from home. Out the front door is the historic city and numerous wonderful restaurants. Out the back door is the well groomed riverwalk along the Rio Tomebamba and you would never know you are in a city!! The condo is modern and beautifully decorated and with the rooftop, you have a 360 degree view of the Cajas Mountains. It’s a perfect place to spend time inside reading or outside exploring this World Heritage city. The landlord is most accommodating and a worry-free visit is guaranteed.

This is an excellent choice for your stay in Cuenca. The apartment is very close to the main tourist spots, while at the same time, mixed into a neighborhood where you will definitely feel like a local! Walk two blocks to the 10 de Agosto market for fresh produce, meats and fish. The local area is full of wonderful restaurants.....we stayed for a month and ate somewhere different almost every evening.
There is a very secure entry into the apartment building and we felt safe at all times. Taxis are readily available and inexpensive....right out the front door.
The apartment itself is bright, cheerful and clean. There is a kitchen with basic necessities if you feel like cooking, and a Super-Maxi Supermarket about 10 minutes away by foot. The apartment is well furnished and comfortable. An added bonus is the home office setup. There Is a separate office space equipped with wifi and a printer.....everything you would need if you would like to work remotely. The views from the two separate patios are exceptional!
You are right above the Tomembamba River, with a nice walking path alongside it. The only caution I have is getting back up to the apartment from the river is a fairly steep walk, so if elevations are a problem for you, you would probably need to take a cab "up the hill" . (Around $1.50 cab fare.)
The owner is very well organized and communicates very well from the moment you enquire about the property until you depart. He has an extremely detailed book if information regarding how everything works at the apartment. Also descriptions and recommendations of restaurants, museums, etc in Cuenca that really make things easy fir his guests. My husband and I highly recommend this apartment!

We stayed at Bruce's place for 6 weeks and it was just amazing. The apartment is impeccable, kitchen very well equipped, beds very comfortable, and the views are the best in Cuenca!! We have stayed in numerous rentals and this is one we would return to without hesitation. It is beautiful, comfortable, safe, everything you could hope for. I should mention i worked from the apartment on zoom calls to the US with no issues at all, the wifi is awesome.

Best Host - Best Choice
Well before we arrived Bruce (host) was informative and attentive. It was a totally seamless check in with Cecilia (manager). We were greeted with food, flowers, wine and kindness. The apartment is tastefully furnished, complete with everything you might possibly need. The beds are comfortable, the showers are roomy and the view of Cuenca spectacular. It was quiet and restful both day and night. The location is ideal for exploring El Centro or walking along Tomebamba River. Cecilia responded to us immediately. Bruce checked in via email several times. It is truly the best short term rental we have ever enjoyed. We absolutely recommend this property.

This is our fifth year to stay in this beautiful condo in historic Cuenca. Out the front door is the World Heritage city and out the back door is the riverwalk! Perfect location. Each year there are many improvements - noise-reducing Windows and doors, improved internet system,, freshly painted - which is why we will return each year! This is THE best apartment in Cuenca. If you are looking for a place to base yourself in this beautiful city, this is it. Bruce is an amazing host and the apartment has everything you need. Right out the back door is the river with miles of walking tracks, parks and restaurants. Amazing stay, Fantastic Host
The apartment was excellent and the host's attention to our requests and questions was spectacular. We definitely hope to stay at the place again in the future. The apartment is extremely spacious and has everything you will need. The host even provided a manual with every detail from wifi to appliances to things to do in the area. Every question/request that we had was met with prompt and helpful responses. The decor of the apartment is very modern and extremely comfortable to live in. The private terrace AND rooftop was amazing to work from, or just enjoy the beautiful views and fresh air. We worked during our stay and the wifi was reliable and fast. The washer /dryer installed in the apartment was extremely useful. We stayed with our 4 year old child so we would consider the apartment kids friendly. The location is also amazing with a main road (Calle Larga) with restaurants, stores, and markets on one side and the Rio Tomebamba on the other side. It is extremely easy to catch a taxi on Calle Larga. You can buy fresh fruit and vegetables at Mercado 10 de agosto which is a few minutes walking distance. Our stay here gets 5 out of 5 stars for decor, space, amenities, location, and phenomenal hosting.

This is our fourth year to stay in this beautiful, modern penthouse overlooking Rio Tombebamba and entrance to the spectacular historic city of Cuenca. Within walking distance to numerous restaurants, markets, museums, art galleries and Spanish-style Squares. From both levels of the condo, you have a panoramic view of the Cajas Mountains surrounding Cuenca. This is truly the best “home-away-from-home” we have found in Cuenca. The owners are most accommodating and a delight to deal with.

When I booked this property, I was skeptical of all 27 reviews having five-stars. Welcome gifts: two bouquets flowers, chocolate, wine, coffee, artisan bread, and jam. Great location, great condo, great views, and great attention to the details. Bruce, the owner, and Cecilia, the on-site property manager, want their tenants to have the best possible experience. This apartment is just amazing, great views, great space, every amenity included, fantastic location (literally in downtown), quiet yet in the midst of town, full of light on every room, very safe complex, all appliances in working condition, very clean, extra supplies for bedding and kitchen, close to a variety of shops and restaurants, right across a market, plenty of taxis to move around, the TV channel set up is great should you need to watch any. Cuenca is a walkers paradise, with miles of safe, well maintained trails/walkways and this complex follows this trend, there is no elevators but the stairs are nice, wide and safe. Best vrbo we've ever rented!
From the well appointed kitchen (and spice cabinet!), to the comfy beds, to the great internet, to the unbelievable welcome packet, this is by far the best experience we have had with a vacation rental thus far. The owner clearly wants his renters to enjoy their home and really makes it feel like such. This is not one of those vrbo rentals that feels sparse and cold. It is well appointed and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. You couldn't ask for a better location either - easy walking access to everything. To top it off, the property manager, Cecilia, is a delight. She was attentive and helped us with everything we could imagine - from local doctors, favorite restaurants and things to do with kids. Would absolutely recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in Cuenca.

Wonderful!
We had a wonderful experience while spending a week in the condo which Bruce owns in Cuenca. The condo was just as beautiful in person as the photos show in VRBO.
Bruce was easy to contact via email while in Cuenca. His usual response time was under 30 minutes. His property manager lives in the same building and was very helpful with any question that we had.
If we return to Cuenca we would want to stay again in the same place. Thanks Bruce for everything. Robert Jackson

Perfect Penthouse in Cuenca!
This Penthouse is perfect in every way! It is in an ideal location with the historic city at your front door and the Rio Tomebamba walkway at your back door. This is a beautifully decorated modern apartment with panoramic mountain views from the living room and even better ones from the rooftop terrace! The best part is the accommodating landlord - receptive to all suggestions and honestly wants to ensure you enjoy your visit to Cuenca. The penthouse is well equipped and each year you find additional improvements which add to making this the perfect home away from home. It adds so much to our annual visit to Cuenca.

Wonderful!!!
Where do I start with what turned out to be an incredible experience! For starters both the owners and the property manager were extremely responsive to any queries I had prior to our arrival. When we finally arrived I had a very warm welcome from the property manager who took the time to show us around talked to us about the rules of the property, not to mention their wonderful welcoming gift (included: Fresh fruit, Chocolate, Wine, Soft drinks, bottle water). Right then and there we knew we would enjoy our stay. The property is absolutely beautiful and even better in person than the fabulous photos, with the most amazing view from both terraces. Shortly after we arrived the owner contacted us to ensure we were settled in and we had everything we needed. And though they have a very thorough Welcome Package, he still took the time to tell me about great restaurants and uniques spots in Cuenca, which we appreciated very much. My next visit in Cuenca will find me staying here and yes, there will be another visit to Cuenca!

Phenomenal property! Spectacular views, clean, modern apartment located in the heart of it all.
I can’t say enough about this place. The hosts thought of everything. We were welcomed to an emaculate modern home with all the amenities and even some delicious goodies waiting for us. It’s everything you need for a wonderful stay in Cuena, Ecuador. Walk out the courtyard door to everything in El Centro: open air markets, amazing restaurants, shops, taxis and people watching. No better place to be in the city. We are so grateful to the hosts for making their home available!

We loved staying in this fabulous apartment. The deck and views if the city are amazing and it is conveniently located. Bruce has thought of absolutly everything you might need and the local property manager, Cecilia, is great. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Cuenca.

On a scale of 1-10 this condo is at least an 11 and more - Incredible in every way!
The detail that has been put into this condo, along with the awesome views make this a headliner among condos. From the nice, warm bathrobes and the large, fluffy towels to everything that is supplied in the kitchen and the home, there is nothing anyone could wish for in addition. The condo is roomy, modern, extremely clean, and located perfectly (only 4 blocks from the main center of town). The 180 degree views of the city from the living room, outdoor patio and upstairs terrace are incredible. The owner and property manager go out of their way to ensure you have a great time. The owner provides a very detailed booklet of "how things work", "restaurants", "things to do", etc and the property manager and he are available to answer and help at all times, even though he lives in the US. He even had a bottle of champagne in the refrigerator for the first night of our honeymoon. I can't say enough good things about the condo and its "relatives"!

Best rental in Cuenca!
From the moment we arrived every one of our needs was attended to. The property manager and owner did an amazing job communicating prior to our arrival. When we arrived there was wine and fresh breads and chocolates! The apartment is so beautiful with floor to ceiling windows that look over the city and mountains. The kitchen is equipped with everything you can think of, even a Vitamix! It is spacious and so comfortable. The weekly cleaning was a nice touch. The location was close to amazing restaurants on the river and near downtown. We stayed for 3 weeks and if we're ever back in Cuenca we will 100% try to book here again. I couldn't recommend this place more. After 2 years traveling the world, this is by far the best rental we've stayed in.

Magnificent Views in Historic Cuenca
This condo is perfect in every way and it starts the moment you walk in the front door! Floor to ceiling windows give you a magnificent view of the mountains, you are right on the Rio Tomebamba walking path and just minutes from the historic city sites, restaurants and local markets. We stay for two months every year and the apartment is bright, beautifully decorated and well equipped. The owners are wonderful and genuinely interested in making your visit a memorable one and ask for suggestions which they follow through on - luxurious bathrobes, French press, improved shower door to name a few. From the rooftop terrace where you have a 360 degree view of the mountains and rooftops to the quiet solitude of the spacious master bedroom, this condo is the perfect home away from home.

Most beautiful home in Cuenca!
We loved our 3 week stay here! All of the amenities and touches went above what I would ever expect. From the vita-mix, to roku TV in each room, robes and slippers, wine and beer upon our arrival, and an extremely clean and tastefully decorated home we couldn't have asked for more. The view was gorgeous! I highly recommend this penthouse to anyone who wants luxury while visiting Cuenca. Great location along the river and convenient to everything you need in walking distance. If we're ever back, we will definitely try to stay here again!

Comfort, view and all the niceties made our stay a delight
From the spacious and sunny apartment to the beautiful views of the Andes, the Tomabama River and Cuenca this is one of our favorite vacation rentals. For our second stay we enjoyed it even more. The owners have added more comfort and details, now even a dishwasher, state of the art heating and fantastic blender (it's going to cost me when we get home) this place has gotten even more delightful. Our hosts are doing all they can to add improvements. We'll look forward to our next stay here.

Best option in Cuence without question!
Bruce's condo in the heart of historic Cuenca is the ideal location for a visit. We say this from an informed perspective as we lived in Cuenca for a year in 2015 and are very familar with the city and the range of options and locations to rent. To start the condo itself is beautiful. It is furnished and stocked with all that you could want for your stay. The views from the balcony and the private rooftop terrace are unmatched. Bruce has thought of all the little things that make your stay comfortable (some staples in the fridge when you arrive, the most detailed visit guide you can imagine with information on the condo and all things Cuenca, etc). Bruce is easy to communicate with and a truly nice guy.
The location is also ideal. The condo is situated so that you have access to either Calle Larga or the walking/biking path along the Tomebamba river. Calle Larga has numerous restaurants and shops right outside your door. A public market for fresh fruits, vegetables, meats etc, is one block west of the front door. There is also a small supermarket one block away as well. Super easy to catch a cab within seconds of leaving the condo. If instead you want a peaceful walk along the river, just leave from the bottom door of the condo. You will be on a wonderful, popular biking/walking path alongside the river. There are also many restaurants and bars along the river as well.
Calle Larga and the river seperate the old town from the new town so you are positioned well to take advantage of both from this location. There is truly no better location in our opinion.
Since moving back to the states, we try to visit our friends each year and we will not think twice to rent Bruces place on our next visit.

JUST BOOK IT!
We had just come from spending 5 days in the Amazon, I couldm't wait to get to Cuenca. Wow! We went from roughing it to the lap of luxury. The condo is well equipped with all the kitchen gadgets you could possible need. I loved the quality of the bedding, it's something I really appreciate while traveling. The location couldn't be better, the market, restaurants, all of it was nearby mostly within walking distance. Bruce and Ken communicate extremely well, from booking to departure and are most helpful with any thing you want to know or need to know. I would highly recommend this properly!

Amazing view in a great location
We loved Bruce’s place! The location was perfect. It is in the center of town with lots of great restaurants, museums and shops nearby. There is a small supermarket, a giant produce market and bread shops all within one to two blocks. From the front of the condo you walk out to the historic district. The rear entrance is directly on the river walk where we enjoyed running and taking family walks to a nearby park (with a great zip line for the kid). And I cannot say enough about how beautiful the condo is and it’s amazing view. The place is worth it for the view alone, but it was also clean, nicely furnished and had everything we could need in the kitchen (and we cooked frequently). And Bruce is a wonderful host… incredibly organized, very responsive and genuinely interested that we enjoy our stay. He sent lots of information prior to our trip and has a full book explaining everything about the condo and city. I used his restaurant guide a lot. We did not meet Bruce in person but we were in great hands with his property manager Ken, who was extremely friendly and helpful. If we return to Cuenca we would definitely stay in Bruce’s place again.

This penthouse apartment is in a great location, a few blocks from the main plaza. Roomy, Comfortable, and Spotless. Kitchen is fully equipped. Bruce was attentive throughout the booking and rental time and we enjoyed great communication with him. The balcony view is spectacular. Many restaurants in immediate neighborhood; everything we needed was within walking distance. Enjoyed our stay immensely and we highly recommend.

My husband & I rented this Penthouse on our third visit to the city to experience living 'apartment style', with a balcony, in the sky over Cuenca. What an incredible surprise, the views enhance but can not convey the peace and tranquility that the owners have created inside with beautiful furniture, spacious linear lines of storage and incredibly comfortable bed and warm adorable linen. I enjoyed being able to tray out the incredible Vitamix that I have always wanted! We totally fell in love, enjoying every minute, actually spending more time inside than we had expected, never happened before in Cuenca. This incredible Penthouse is part of a remodeled complex including incredible walkways and planting areas. It is nestled on one side by the very busy Calle Larga, which by the way, we could not hear and faces the Tomebamba river & the incredible mountain views on the other side.. Entering through the large street doors, leaving the fast activity of Calle Larga behind was like entering another world.
On arrival we were welcomed by Mary & Steve, wonderful caring caretakers helping us with luggage, showing us around and introducing us to the Welcome Guide that has been lovingly prepared by the owners- full of a wealth of local information, including all appliance instruction booklets, in case we should have any difficulties, everything was at hand. One did not need to second guess local restaurant standards, all up to date, clearly documented and even a phone provided to help you reserve a table if necessary.
I must stress the prompt communications with Bruce by e-mail, before and during our stay, making sure we had everything we needed to create a pleasant experience.
Our only regret was that we had to leave; we would have loved to have been able to extend our stay. I have seen nothing in Cuenca that can compare with this beautiful Penthouse. The hospitality given by the owners, wine and chocolates waiting for us with breakfast provisions to make our first morning easy until we found our way around sampling the many restaurants recommended in Casa del Noble's 'Welcoming Guide'.
We thoroughly enjoyed the open layout of this Penthouse, there is even desk space access for two to leisurely access computers with good internet connections & enjoying the amazing views of the city & mountains, yes 'Almost Heaven' is not an understatement. Thank you Bruce for sharing your wonderful home.
