We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Duck Inn. Everything we needed was provided. We relaxed each morning and evening on the back porch, watching the many birds and squirrels at the feeders. We looked forward to staying here again when we visit our grandchildren. Thank you!

My two friends and I had a great experience at the Duck Inn from start to finish. It's a sweet property just a few blocks from the center of the small charming Texas town of Boerne. The Duck Inn was warm, welcoming, and beautiful as we walked in and we immediately felt at home. With two bedrooms, a comfortable living room, a well-appointed kitchen area, and a sweet private back yard area, it was perfect for us. Our hosts, Karen and John, knew we were coming to see the eclipse and communicated with us frequently before the trip to let us know what to expect due to the likely higher-than-normal number of visitors in town. They provided very useful advice so we would be well prepared and could make the most of our trip. The location is great! We very much enjoyed exploring Boerne, which has a lot of character and many interesting shops and places to eat. We also enjoyed driving around the spectacular Texas hill country. Throughout our stay, Karen and John could not have been more gracious. They checked in to see how we were doing and even invited us to their ranch to see the eclipse, which made the eclipse a memorable experience even though the clouds obscured it. Thanks to the quality and location of the property and the thoughtfulness of our hosts, we could not have had a more perfect time during our stay at the Duck Inn!

The property was immaculate. The kitchen and Bath were well stocked. It is just a half block to river walk and a half mile walk into town. Restaurants and shopping all walking distance. PERFECT Location. There were bird feeders in back yard - lots of birds to watch. A smal fox climbed over the fence and laid down in the corner of the yard! My husband was thrilled to see that. We loved using the fire pit every night and sitting out under the stars. Great place for 2 couples to get away!!!!!!

We enjoyed our repeat visit. Every amenity is well considered. Bedrooms are comfortable and the bathroom is a nice space. The kitchen is very well equipped. If you’re eating indoors the kitchen table is perfect for two adults and two children. There is lovely outdoor seating. Lighting in the bedroom is great; it’s a little dark in the living room. The location is great for walking.

This home was so inviting and accommodating. Fully stocked kitchen and such thoughtful amenities such as wall plugs that included usb for phones and sound machines in each bedroom.
The backyard was so pleasant to sit for our morning coffee. The birds and squirrels kept us entertained.
The hosts were so accommodating and very communitive. They even checked in to make sure we had everything.
We have 4 stars for location only due to the evening noise from local establishments. But to be expected when they are close by. Perfect location for walk on the river or a stroll down main street.

This is a beautiful home, very clean and cozy home. Location is perfect very close to main street also walking distance to go see the ducks. Walking distance to several restaurants. We loved the backyard and the carport was great you dont have to worry about your car being close to the street. All pictures posted is exactly how home is. If we come back we will definitely be back to ducks in. And karen was great my friend left a purse and karen mailed it the next day, thank you for a great stay.

This place is a wonderful gem in Boerne. The description and pictures of the property really don't do it justice. The place was beautifully decorated and updated. The backyard is quiet and we felt like we were secluded from everyone. Enjoyed an evening by the fire pit which was an added bonus. Little extras like snacks and a bottle of champagne for my wife's birthday were such a great personal touch to add to an amazing stay. Can't rave enough about the open communication with Karen and John. Always available to answer questions about the area and give recommendations for anything from a bite to eat to a cool bar to hang out at. This was such a great time, we will definitely be back.

Wonderful property for a stay in Boerne, which is a very charming town we return to every year. The downtown shopping, restaurant and brewery scene is all within walking distance and the No. 9 multi-use (hike and bike) trail is also nearby. Well-kept property with everything a visitor needs and an emphasis on natural products such as laundry detergent and bath products.

FANTASTIC LOCATION AND RENTAL!!! I can't say enough good things about this rental and the property owners. They thought of EVERYTHING!! Anytime I would think, "Oh, I wish I had......" ---there it was!!! It was Perfect!!! Coffee, wine, water, soft drinks, snacks, fan, comfy furniture, outside sitting area, lighting, the locks, etc etc etc---- I could go on and on!!

Relaxing getaway
This home was perfect for our family of three. We loved walking to the creek and Main Street. The backyard was perfect for making s’mores and hanging out by the fire pit. We had a blast playing Jenga with the extra large wooden blocks. This home had everything including surprising treats in the fridge.

Great location, super close to food, downtown shops, and Cibolo Creek. House was immaculate and very thoughtfully done. Communication was excellent, although we didn't really need it during our stay.
Cleanest property I have stayed in. House was fresh, updated and perfectly tidy.
The "little things" were ALL though of - flashlights, night lights, laundry baskets, coffee condiments, etc. This stuff really matters! Also well-stocked in the kitchen. Going to a VRBO, you sometimes never know what you are going to get in the kitchen, this one was great.
Backyard was pristine and lovely. Again - everything was thought through.
Simple to get in and out of with the digital keypad. Worked like a dream.
Water pressure in shower was great.
Price was definitely reasonable for what you get.
Cons:
The absolute ONLY thing I could find that might need improvement was the very creaky bed frame (the king bed). It might have been a little off-putting (getting out of bed when someone else is sleeping, for example). May not bother some people at all, but it could be an improvement.
Wonderful stay, will be recommending it to friends, it is in close proximity to San Antonio and many other good activities.

The Duck Inn was awesome - we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Boerne. The place was very clean and super comfortable, and comes with an exceptionally well-stocked kitchen. The back patio, backyard, and fire pit offer a great outdoor area to hang out. The location is excellent too. The hosts were easy to communicate with, gave us plenty of privacy, check-in and check-out were easy and contactless. We will definitely stay again!

Incredible stay!
My family had the best time at this property. We typically pick places in the country to get away from the hustle and bustle so I was a bit apprehensive picking somewhere downtown; however, this was the perfect spot! Although it is close to everything, it was quiet and very peaceful. My husband and told me he enjoyed this stay more than the others we’ve gone to in the country. We fell in love with the backyard! The house was well-stocked and had everything we needed. The snacks and drinks were such a nice a surprising touch. The owners were super accommodating and very responsive. This was one of our favorite trips and we will definitely be back to Duck Inn!

What a cute place and so convenient to the Texas miracle mile as well as Cibilo creek with the ducks. There is a German restaurant within walking distance as well as a fun pub too. It had plenty of space and the back yard was our favorite! We drank coffee there, enjoyed playing cards and games as well as the party size Jenga that was included.
It was our first time in Boerne and the town is very charming too. While we were visiting we also explored the Cave without a name and that was interesting to all ages.
Our host was available at all times to make sure we were without need.
