The house, in a very small village with, let me guess 10 families, is a perfect “hideaway”, which we enjoyed for 3 nights. Well, one needs a car, which we had, as you have to drive to restaurants and grocery shops and of course to enjoy the forested area near to Arganil and the river beach. However, there is a garden, with barbecue, a kitchen of course so it is also perfect for self catering. If you like the countryside, this place is for you.

We missed hot shower!

An amazing villa , with everything' that you need to feel relaxed, beautiful scenery,, very well decorated and refurbished. I highly recommend it;)

The flies :) nothing else to add. Honestly everything was great!

The river for swimming was near (5km), the BBQ facilities were good, and the property temperature was excellent. The house was comfortable and it had all the necessary equipment.

Excellent house, extremely well renovated and with everything that is needed, from a fully equipped kitchen, to a dinning room, TV, books for children, and a lovely patio with trees and space for meals makes it a perfect place for families or groups of friends. Our boys loved picking figs from the tree and playing in the patio. The host was super kind. The location, close to Arganil, is perfect for nature lovers. Surely a place to go back!

Rural and rest!!

The house and courtyard area are just lovely, very private and calm with pretty forested hillside views and a lovely breeze, plus places to relax in the sun or shade. The house is charming, an upgraded version of the original house - it is really comfortable and has everything one needs for a week long stay or more - to relax inside and out, cook and dine at home, plus a bbq area. Our host (an architect - hence the stylish touches and design of the place) was really helpful and left some fruit, water and coffee for us to enjoy - plus there is a useful guidebook and some games, books and a tv in the house if you are coming for a long time /in winter months. Finally we loved the rural location, close enough to some great restaurants (riverside Sombrinho was a favourite) and natural hotspots but also a very quiet and traditional little village. We enjoyed some beautiful forest runs. We look forward to returning with friends.
