We stayed 3 nights. The place was perfect. Close to downtown Carlsbad for eating. The waves were 10+ft, so we walked to the beach to watch the surfers. Kids had a great time. I would stay here again. Jeff

Family friendly home with plenty of room for toddlers to play inside and out. Fantastic locations within a few minute walk to the beach and restaurants.

My family and I had a great stay at this "epic bungalow." Communication with the Myers was easy and fast. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable. We cooked up a storm on Friday in preparation for our gathering on Saturday. The weather was awesome (on Dec 22nd!) and we really enjoyed the outdoor space. We had two toddlers with us and they had a great time -- there was even a tricycle for them to ride. The neighborhood was quiet and we all slept great. This was the perfect spot for 3 generations to have fun together. I can only imagine how great this place would be for a summer vacation -- with excellent restaurants and the beach within walking distance. We can't wait to come back! Thank you!!

My family and I just recently stayed at this beach house. Nice quiet neighborhood plus it was a quick walk to the beach . Great communication with the property manager and the check in process was seamless.

We loved this property! The house was bright and clean and was stocked with everything we needed. Our older kids loved the backyard and I was impressed with everything in the garage! The kitchen was clean and perfect for what we needed, lots of counter space. The primary bedroom was a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be so that was a plus! The bathrooms were updated and everything worked great. My only complaint is that the primary bedroom mattress felt a little slumped. We also loved the bonus of lots of parking available on the property as well as street parking.

It was As advertised it was clean, comfortable, relaxing, on a quiet cul de sac and good privacy It was a 6 minute walk to the beach with small Kids. The backyard was a real plus for us with stuff for kids and adults to play with ie., corn hole, tricycle, games We enjoyed the beach and the home

This home had it all. Beach toys and Bikes. Even had a BBQ grill which we put to use. Interior of home was clean and had all the kitchen tools and appliances needed. The beds were comfy and perfect decor. The neighborhood was quiet. Plenty of parking in driveway. Could even park in garage if needed. I would have given an "overall" full star rating if, they had A.C. After being at the beach and sun all day you want to come to a home to feel cool & relaxed.

We had a great stay at this beach house for my son’s birthday. Close to Legoland and the beach. The house was very accommodating for families with children. Thank you!

We rented the house for a family vacation with our son, daughter in law and 2 yr old grandson. The house is in a perfect location of walking to the beach. We also loved having beach chairs and toys available at the house. The outdoor area was great for the cool evenings. The home was nicely furnished with towels, linens and necessities. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. There is a commuter train that runs close by but it didn’t bother us. The area has many great restaurants and shops within a mile and such a great little area. We loved the area and hope to come back for a longer stay. Note: the house does not have air conditioning but does have a house fan and plenty of individual fans. We left the windows open most of the time with the house fan and it was cool enough for us. Keep in mind a good deal of homes in the area don’t have AC.

Property is darling - very beachy! Kyle was a dream to work with - very responsive and accommodating. He did everything to make our stay wonderful. Great location and property is in tip top shape. Great experience.

I have never written a negative review of anything. This is my first one… I hope it can help others avoid a very stressful, uncomfortable vacation. The location and fenced yard of this property are wonderful and we’re grateful for them, as well as for the hand soap and paper towels. Unfortunately, in spite of the mild temperatures outside, the inside of this house was sweltering all day, from midday until late at night- every day. This house has no air conditioning and a large skylight that creates a major greenhouse effect, making it MUCH hotter inside than outside. Despite using the whole house fan and all of the fans, all of the time, everyone in my family, all 7 of us were so uncomfortably hot and sweaty the majority of every day. Because my toddlers got sick, my husband and I and my parents stayed at the house more than expected. It was so unpleasant and uncomfortable. I am not a picky or hard-to-please guest, but seeing beads of sweat constantly on my husband and twin toddlers’ brows, and seeing how uncomfortable my parents were- who both have terminal illnesses- I never would have booked this stay had I known how incredibly unpleasant it would be. It was very stressful and discouraging, when we desperately needed a break from the hardships of our lives. The presence of so many fans suggests the owners are aware of the heat and that leaves me confused. Because of the intense heat, I cannot recommend this rental in the summer time. I wouldn’t risk it again at any time. It might be ok in the winter if the heating functions properly. Also, the floors were very dirty, which was discouraging. My toddlers feet were dark gray, halfway through each day there. Lastly, though we were grateful for the cool of the backyard, the photos of it need to be updated. There is no playhouse and it is much smaller and more humble/ worn than in the photos displayed. Photos could definitely be more honest. . This was a very difficult stay and we regret choosing it. Maybe others have lucked out with a better outcome.

We found a clean and we'll maintained property upon our arrival. We were able to walk back and forth to the beach where our kids ages 16 to 2 had hours of fun in the sun! We all slept comfortably on memory foam mattresses. Our young boys had fun playing in the spacious backyard adorned with palm trees. The kitchen was clean and updated. Although the property had a house fan to draw in cooler outside air, AC would have been nice. We enjoyed restaurants and shopping in the nearby Carlsbad Village district. Our few questions were quickly answered through email. We'll be back next summer!

This house gave us exactly what we needed-space to relax and reset, easy access to the beach, a ton of fun beach accessories to use at the beach, and a cozy backyard to BBQ in. We loved the hose in the back to spray ourselves down before heading inside, and there were plenty of kitchen utensils, pans, etc. to cook for the time we stayed. Vons Grocery store is right down the road, which made things easy too. There is a train that runs at night, but if you're used to some city sounds, its not a big deal.

We were disappointed when we arrived and found sticky cabinets, dirty floors and crumbs on the table. But Kyle was a very gracious host who offered a refund for cleaning deposit and was in good communication. The couple of items in the house that didn't work were repaired during our stay. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and down to the downtown area of Carlsbad.

Everything about our stay was great! The backyard was perfect for our family to gather and celebrate graduation. The home had everything we needed and the baby items made our stay much easier. We definitely will return to this property!

Fantastic location, beautiful home, spacious back yard, nice neighborhood and 1.5 blocks from the beach. Beach cruisers, beach chairs and beach toys were very nice to have. A 10 min walk into the main area of Carlsbad where there are great restaurants and shopping. Very comfortable beds!!! We wish we could have stayed longer. Kyle is a great host and is a very good communicator. Easy booking, easy check in and check out process. Great overall experience! Thank you for sharing your home!

This is a charming beach house in a safe, quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance to the local beach, shops and restaurants. Our grandchildren, ages 1 and 4 years, particularly loved the backyard. This is a great beach vacation get-a-way!

We stayed at this wonderful home during our trip to get married in Carlsbad. It was the perfect spot for friends and family to come by as a meeting place before heading to the beach or village. The hosts are amazing, the kitchen is well-stocked for cleaning, beach toys included, and the most amazing backyard possible. Make sure you notice there is no AC- fans make it work during the warm summer months. My best rental home experience ever (and I use Home rentals a lot). Highly recommend.
