the only thing i liked was the idea of it being a hilton otherwise this hotel is better off taking it’s branding off

the shower was falling apart and i could not change the temperature the bed was dirty, don’t you change the duvet? the room itself was clean but who cares if the one place you’re going to rest is dirty i don’t drive, i came here for work and i used taxi to arrive and taxi to leave, tell me why the staff added a parking charge to my bill? i don’t trust the staff here, be sure to check the bill on departure, and don’t leave any valuables in your room, this is not your typical city hilton, this is an isolated rip off with terrible staff. on top of all that they charge way more than the regular hampton in any city, this cost me what it costs to stay in doubletree anywhere else.

The standard of the breakfast whilst satisfying was basic and compares closely to less premium hotels. The hotel bedroom was basic and compares to less premium hotels. The hotel common areas were basic and compares to less premium hotels. I didn't like the flashing red leds from the bedroom smoke alarm that I could see with my eyes shut and kept me awake. The Hampton by Hilton did not meet the standard I was expecting.

Straightforward check-in. Lovely receptionist. Amazing shower!

Great location. Staff were lovely and doing their best in a difficult situation. Breakfast was really good.

The booking system had gone down so it took ages to check in. We were then given the key to the wrong room (we were given 2 free drinks as a goodwill gesture). The plug in the bathroom was stuck so the sink wouldn't empty. No water in the room.

The staff who signed me in was very helpful and welcoming. We booked the hotel for the night of our wedding and were given complementary drinks as a result. The breakfast was amazing and the beds and room were spot on with a beautiful river view.

I tried to contact the hotel prior to check in to explain it was the day of our wedding and asked for an early or late check-in. I was only able to check in early with a cost of £10 per hour for every hour early I wanted to check in. I had to take time out of wedding pictures to check in. I think this could have been accommodated for considering the circumstances. That's my only issue with this hotel and booking as a whole.

Nice modern hotel, large room and comfortable beds. Very clean. Excellent breakfast included, with a lot of choice. Location is perfect for the town centre

Charge for parking, so we didn't use the hotel parking as there's a cheap/free overnight car park on Bishop Street

The Hotel was excellent, on arrival plenty of car park space do have to pay but is worth it for security. Also great system with lifts unless your a guest you can't access floors great security. Staff were very freindly and helpful, our room was very clean and modern, The bed was comfy we had a excellent night's sleep. The breakfast was 5 star. All round couldn't fault this Hotel would definitely recommend and will certainly be staying again.

Was nothing we didn't like.

Location for the theatre is great! Rooms were clean and cosy. The young man on reception was superb, nothing was too much trouble.

The breakfast was chaos. I know at times it can be busy, however when the server tells the line all right its coming its on till 11 in an aggressive tone, like it was purfault there was nothing left. Not the best service.
