This place is a great find! The king room I stayed in had a sitting area, fireplace, kitchen and bathroom (although in an unusual layout). It took me 10 minutes to walk to the staton island ferry each day to get into Manhattan. For the price, location, and size of the accommodation - its a fantastic deal!

The room I stayed in was quite close to the street so there was some street noise at night (nothing crazy). The apartment was clean but is a bit dated. The rugs and carpets were clean, but worn.

It was not clean. it wasn’t filthy but just didn’t feel clean. The price included breakfast but we weren’t given any. There was a kitchen (with one chair)we could use but no tea, coffee or milk.

The location was convenient to the Staten Island ferry & the Empire Outlets. The host, Paul, was very welcoming and gave a great tour! The room was very spacious & had everything you would need to make a meal. The bed was extremely comfortable!

They did not have breakfast, but did have a mini fridge, oven/stove, microwave, and cooking supplies. The room was a bit warm.

Difficulty in finding

Very close to the ferry and shopping. The B&B had free off-street parking. Very accommodating owners. Surprisingly quiet for its location.

I didn't see any smoke detectors. Tiny soaps in bathroom.

The beds are seem old, and noisy,and the walls felt paper thin. I had a hard time sleeping, as I heard everything outside. My daughter who slept in the other bedroom slept fine.

I love the remote location from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Also, the beds were super comfy.

when traveling to and from the property very late at night felt a little unsafe due to some of the area we had to go through.

Paul is a great host, very friendly. The house is beautifully decorated, the bedroom and the bathroom are very spacious. I loved the old bathtub, faucets and shower. Wifi was good at all times. Very convenient location less than 10 min walk to the (free and fantastic) ferry to Manhattan. The ferry runs every half an hour, all day and all night. I took it after midnight, not a problem. There's an outlet mall next to the ferry terminal.

The only thing I disliked is that Booking advertises "Breakfast included" while it is not. I was aware of this through the comments, so it was not a disappointment, though.

Very nice host, clean rooms,cool view from 3rd floor, felt secure, convenient store across street, going back at Christmas, already booked!

Anything that could of been better was out of the control of the host(loud cars, music,etc) so I was overall pleased
