Jami and Matt were wonderful hosts and attended to all our needs. The downtown area is walking distance from the property and it is a charming district with restaurants and shopping. Jami provided us a list of local eateries and we enjoyed the places she recommended. Our 10 year old granddaughter loved the local ice cream and cookie places on Main Street. We also enjoyed the statues of all the presidents on every corner as we tried to name them without looking at the plaques. This property is comfortable and easy to get to Mt Rushmore, Custer Park, the Badlands areas and more. Communication was wonderful with the hosts and they accommodated last minute needs after issues with our flights. We highly recommend the area, the property and the hosts.

This property is very conveniently located-within easy walk to many restaurants and bars and a short drive to Mount Rushmore. Hosts are super responsive. We are very happy we stayed here!

Very nice upstairs apartment in a great location near downtown Rapid City. My husband and I and my brother used this as a base for exploring Wind Cave, Jewel Cave, Badlands, Spearfish Canyon, Custer State Park, Devil’s Tower and the Needles and Pigtail drives in the Black Hills. Fantastic area with lots to do. The apartment itself was great. Very clean. Fully stocked kitchen with fridge, freezer, microwave, stove and coffee maker. All cleaning supplies available, but no dishwasher. Not a big deal as there was a nice deep sink and we ate out most of the time. The beds were super comfortable - one king sized and one queen. The bathroom was very large with a nice tub/shower. Good water pressure with excellent hot water for end of the hiking day reprieve. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided. We brought our own bar soap as we prefer that. Absorbent, soft towels. The main living area was open to the kitchen with a small table for breakfast/meals. The enormous sectional sofa was super comfortable. Fabulous to have a large off road parking spot in the driveway slab. Overall, a very comfortable place to spend several days. The communication with Jami and Matt was outstanding. They even provided local insights for restaurants and activities. This was a fantastic spot for two couples or a small family (if the kids will share a bed). I would definitely stay here just as a couple too. Very comfortable, well decorated. Felt like home. Highly recommended.

This property is very convenient to the restaurants of downtown Rapid City. It served as a homebase for us as we spent several days visiting the Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park and Deadwood. Jami was extremely easy to work with and gave us a late check out which I really appreciated.

My family and I spent 5 nights in Rapid City. The apartment was walking distance to town. We walked into to town for coffee, meals and to explore. We also took day trips around the area to the Badlands, Mount Rushmore, Wind Cave and Custer. Each day we were happy to return to our comfortable apartment to wind down, prep lunch and watch tv. Thanks for a great stay!

My family of four, myself, my husband and two teenage sons, were very comfortable in this charming duplex for our first time to South Dakota. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and the location was perfect for everything we would be doing while in rapid city. It’s so close to the Ft Hays Chuckwagon which was the starting point for an amazing day tour of Mt Rushmore and surrounding areas, Reptille Gardens, Candy Factory, downtown shops, restaurants and grocery stores. There’s a beautiful park steps away from the front door where you can enjoy a morning or afternoon stroll. It is on a busy street but we did not have any problems getting in or out of the property. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting the Rapid City area.

Excellent location very cozy great place to stay and see the black hills attractions

Stayed here for 5 nights for a family vacation to the Black Hills. Property is situated 30-40 min from all attractions except Devils Tower (1.45 min). Made it very easy to come back in evening to make quick dinners and relax. Owners were very responsive to all questions, needs and details. This house is at least 100 years old but, that is part of the charm of staying here. It's decorated nicely but kitchen is a tiny kitchen with "miniature" fridge ( not full sized). It made it hard to prepare meals in such a small space, not a lot of room to work. I did one pot wonder recipes each night to make it easier. Kitchen is stocked pretty well. Nice walk to downtown and felt very safe taking kids with us. Missed not having a washer/ dryer for washing laundry at night while kids slept. There is a laundry mat 6 miles down the road from property but that is not as convenient as to having your own to use at the property.

Location is key and we found the most perfect place to stay. We walked in to soft music playing in a beautifully decorated older home. The owners own several properties and have created gathering spaces in the back where visitors can relax and share experiences and nice conversation. Jamie was very responsive and thoughtful in her communication with us which began with a nice message making sure we arrived safely. The home is pretty much central to everything from Badlands, Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park, Pactola Lake and a nice walk downtown for shopping and dinner. Will definitely recommend this location or any property this owner is affiliated with.

A little older than I thought. No TV in the bedroom. No cable. Everything else was just wonderful.

The property manager was very helpful with all the questions I had. The house is within walking distance within downtown. It is also within easy driving distance to all the major sites around and near Rapid City. The house nicely laid out and can easily sleep eight.I would definitely rent this property again next we are in town.

We stayed here 6 months ago and when we reminisce about our vacation, my husband ALWAYS brings up how heavenly the bed/linens were! This was a perfect set up for us and our teenage daughter with a cute little patio area out back and easy access to all the things we wanted to do. There were two draw backs to the property: The road construction that was going on out front of the house, but that was a minor convenience... mostly just confusing when we arrived. And the number of stairs we had to climb with our luggage after a long exhausting day of driving and just wanting to unload and go to bed. That being said, we would definitely stay here again!

Close to the civic center and all the downtown convenience s. Clean and comfortable!

Great if you need to get in and out of the city …..unfortunately this is an expensive city to Visit nothing negative about this particular location it was great and convenient it’s just may be cheaper to stay further outside the city unless you actually need to stay right in Rapid City

We stayed here for SDSMT parent’s weekend. The location was great for us, within walking distance to shopping and dining. We cooked several meals in the apartment and had sufficient cookware to do that. Would stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay, it was cozy and nicely decorated. It was centrally located for us, convenient for our tours of Mt. Rushmore, the Black Hills and the Badlands. Great alternative to the chain hotels .

This apartment was perfect! It was exactly as pictured and very clean. The beds were super comfortable and there was enough room for a family of 4. The living room was very comfy and my kids enjoyed some down time in the evening watching Netflix! It was a great location to get to all the attractions and walking distance to downtown Rapid City. Carmen provided us with a list of attractions and restaurants in Rapid City! This was a great find!

The ease of parking is a big plus with this property. Using alley ways to access the parking lot made getting around in Rapid City easy. Lugging our suitcases up a flight of stairs was tough but we had driven 8 hrs that day too. So we were tired. Anyway, the apartment was tastefully decorated. We had plenty of room to spread out. The L shaped sofa was very comfortable, as were the beds. The shower was great and there were plenty of towels. We were told we could use the seating area outside, but we were so busy that we didn't use it. We were in contact with the owner and she answered our questions immediately. I would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location allowed us to walk to nearby restaurants and drive to attractions in the Black Hills. The apartment itself was very comfortable which say a lot give it was very hot outside during our stay! The air conditioning units in various rooms were wonderful. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the decor was tasteful. I'd highly recommend Carmen's apartment!

My 83 year old mom and I stayed here for a week while visiting my SD Mines son and his wife, and it was delightful! The apartment was clean, comfortable, and convenient. It was a perfect place for my mom to rest between adventures. And it was so close to downtown, with its restaurants and sights. Also, the access to highways for travel to other SD sights was very simple. Even though it is on a main road, the traffic was not a distraction at all. There are individual units in each room for a/c control, and the temperature was always comfortable. I definitely will keep this place in mind should I need something in the area.

We needed a place to work during the week that also allowed us to visit the Badlands, Custer State Park, and Mt. Rushmore - this place was the perfect fit! Great location within an hour of all the parks, very close/moderate walking distance to restaurants and bars. Beds and couch were super comfy, shower was hot, and the wifi was fast.

Close to downtown Rapid City restaurants and shops. Great staging spot for day trips out to the sites. Busy street out front but quiet inside. Older property that has been fixed up nicely. It is an upstairs unit. King size bed was comfortable. Bathroom was small with limited vanity space at the sink, but doable. It was spacious enough for two of us, but I think it would have been very tight for more than two. Nice kitchen functional appliances. 50" Roku TV was good. Internet access acceptable. Property Manager was polite and VERY responsive to our questions.

Nice clean house/ apartment. Centrally located for parks and sights also a five minute walk from all the downtown restaurants. It was a perfect fit for my wife and I. The bed was extremely comfortable. Highly recommended.

Wow! We could not have asked for a better apartment! The location is perfect — walking distance to our favorite coffee spots, restaurants, and shops downtown. Super clean, gorgeously decorated, and the beds are a dream!! The host was fantastic — so helpful and responsive. She even had our walk shoveled after a snowstorm! We ended up needing to add two additional nights to our reservation because of weather, and she was able to accommodate us on such short notice. I will definitely make this my Rapid City go-to every time we are in town (and I'm sharing with my friends and family too). Thank you, Carmen! Such a lovely stay.
