Great pet friendly property in walking distance to the beach. We stayed 2 nights with our 2 dogs. The dogs enjoyed the fenced in yard that the upper unit has access to. We enjoyed the evening sea breeze from the deck that has a nice table that seats four.

Although I had some communication problems (international telephone), the arrival process was fine. The house was clean and had the amenities described on the site. The location of the house is good since it is close to the beach to walk but at the same time away from noise. The checkout process was easy and hassle free. Congratulations on the condition of the property and its cleanliness.

This property is in the perfect location! The neighborhood is super quiet yet you are close to the beach, shopping, food, and all the other things you want to see. The unit itself is spacious, full of natural light, well-stocked, and super clean. We thoroughly enjoyed are stay and will definitely book it again in the future.

We enjoyed our time at Beachy Keen. It is a quaint get away and we enjoyed our time there. There is an enclosed yard that was great for my poodles. We will be back!!!

Overall the property was legit. The house had all the amenities we needed for our stay. The location was awsome! To beach or restaurants is all in walking range. I would rent there again for sure.

This was a very nice, cozy stay. It had everything we could have needed. The house was very clean. The beds were a bit too firm for my taste but my husband loved it. All updated amenities. The outside could use painting and the gate is hard to open. But nothing that wouldn’t make not stay there again.

So clean, so comfy. Great stay!

We had a wonderful time, a couple blocks from the Sea Wall, restaurants, and night life. Our dog loved the secure yard, this was a big plus for us. Looking forward to returning.

The house was great, my friend and I had a total relaxing time. The Afghans loved the location. They got to walk to th seawall and go to the strand. Everyday was just fun.

Beachy Keen was well decorated, in a safe neighborhood close to the beach and met all of our needs for our stay.

We enjoyed our stay in Galveston at a quaint location perfect for couples or couples with a small child. Two queen beds greeted us, along with a well equipped kitchen (Keurig). A large bathroom with double sinks (bring your own shampoo and soap) made the stay very comfortable. Two beach chairs and a wagon were provided for the two block walk to the beach. We wish we could have stayed longer in this well appointed location!

The house was great! Great floor plan great location, close to beach. Very quiet neighborhood. Ron and Tony were very helpful.

This is balanced feedback (positive & constructive) for our 5-night stay at Beachy Keen. On arrival, the A/C was on & super comfortable! But we discovered the hand soap & dish soap bottles had been watered down so much the soap was unusable. We then found that the barn door between the bathroom & bedroom was off its track. We put it back on its track with some difficulty as the door is very heavy but it wasn’t wide enough to close all the way and remain on its track. We put the luggage rack with our open suitcase against the door to keep it from swinging so it wouldn’t be unsafe for us or our dog. We used the other (pocket) door to the bathroom, but the opening where the barn door wouldn’t close all the way didn’t provide privacy for bathroom use. The following morning, in response to our message, the owners provided us with a bag of cleaning supplies (much appreciated!). One of the laundry pods had leaked so we cleaned & dried the pods before storing them. Then we discovered the patio table umbrella had broken spines so couldn’t be opened. We sent a message to the owner & he replied he wished we would have told him earlier as he was just there dropping off the cleaning supplies. We couldn’t sit out on the deck during our stay because the sun was too hot for us without shade from an umbrella. On our last day, we left the owners another message confirming our early departure. We mentioned the things we enjoyed about Beachy Keen & provided some additional feedback: a window in the bathroom that wouldn’t stay open (just for ventilation) & a very loudly squeaking dishwasher door that needed WD40. We also provided a recommendation that the living room TV might be mounted a little lower for more comfortable viewing. We treat every VRBO with great care and respect. We had hoped that the owners might welcome our feedback, thank us for our stay, or even say sorry for the things that we found uncomfortable. But we never heard back from them. We will end on the positives: Beachy Keen is a charming vintage beach cottage in a great location, with a big yard, delightful décor, good energy, 2 big screen TV’s, a cute doggie station, a Keurig coffeemaker, great A/C, comfortable shower and convenient washer/dryer. And, yes, the bed mattresses ARE hard as some other guests noted, but our aging back enjoyed that firmness.

This place was absolutely lovely. Ron and Tony thought of everything from a spare leash for my dog to a charger block for my phone (which I had totally forgotten). The house is just fantastic. It was perfect for me and my boyfriend to spend a weekend at the beach with my daughter. I can't explain how happy we were to see a shower that my 6'4" boyfriend could actually use comfortably. We will certainly be back. I wish I could give more than 5 stars 🌟

Wonderful time for our 34th anniversary was a short trip but great to get away from the every day hussle and bussle !

We loved our stay at Beachy Keen! It was our 59th anniversary and we wanted to get away, somewhere quiet, but close to seafood. We picked the perfect place. We have a Yorkie and a Chiweenie, the yard was perfect, with birds singing and shady place to sit while the girls done their job. We had the best time at the The Spot, Benno’s and The Stingaree on Crystal Beach. Absolutely loved the quietness of the neighborhood, really relaxing. Ron was so pleasent anytime we asked anything of him. We will definitely be back!
