Very bad hotel

Great location, easy walking to distance to metro lines and busy areas of Paris. Good working elevator. Staircase had lots of character. Room was a good size. Huge smart TV. Good water pressure for shower. Plenty of towels provided. Comfortable bed. Pleasant staff available if needed. 24 hour reception.

Only planned one night stay so was fine for my needs. No proper flooring, just plaster. Left a dusty feel if barefoot. No air con remote and apparently only managed by reception. It was turned on when asked but only put on for about 30 minutes timer. I didn't end up needing the air con, but if it's advertised I thought it would be more available at guests needs as with the heatwave it was one of my main criteria for booking. Ensuite bathroom leaked onto the main bedroom floor slightly. Paris accommodation is expensive but what was provided felt a little overpriced compared to others I'd seen.

What did we like? Leaving. We liked leaving.

Room • The light switches did not work (picture) • The room had an ant infestation problem (picture) • Walls were broken and rotted (pictures) • The hair dryer was broken (no nozzle), melted, and too dangerous to use (picture) • The kettle was missing (as shown in all pictures on booking.com) and I had to purchase one • Door handle was broken (picture) • The air conditioner made loud noises randomly and prevented sleep (audio recording - example) • Builders were concrete drilling two floors down during the day on all days of my stay Bathroom • Tiles were broken and disgusting (pictures) • No toilet roll holder (picture) • Door handle was broken (picture) • Door was smashed in (picture) • Insufficient bath towels were provided • Toilet cistern was running continuously and had to be turned off at the wall • Toilet filled with boiling hot water, creating smells and condensation in all of bathroom • Hot water created scalding hot tap in shower (I suffered a burn to the arm) • Shower curtain was mouldy and disgusting (picture) Service • On the first morning, there was a dispute over breakfast (only provided for 1 person) • No breakfasts were provided at all on 9 Jul and 10 Jul (no reason given) Overall We tried to get a refund, but the property refused to respond to booking.com.

The bed and the shower were good, the view was good the room well lit.

The AC didn't cool, which is bad because Paris is quite hot in summer. Luckily at night the weather was cold so I didn't need the AC

The staff that work there are quite nice!

Unfortunately, there is a lot of construction in the premise! The photos and the room are not quite alike - there is false advertising! Also, there is too much noise in the room - a buzzer goes on every 15 minute leading to groggy sleep, and there is heavy construction drill sounds between 9 am and 5 pm every day. This wasn’t informed and the price charged for these services (and this quality) is not justified!

The smart TV

This is a health and safety threat, and possibly so bad that its illegal. The room literally had holes in the floor with concrete and dirt showing through as well as being filthy, the bathroom had DRIED FEACES ON THE FLOOR that seemed to have leaked from the toilet pipe (which was still leaking). The furniture was very tired, the room smelt BAD. See pictures for proof (and yes these were taken in PARIS IN 2022). How this is allowed to operate is beyond me and at the price I paid its an outright scam. Unfortunately there was seemingly nowhere else available in Paris. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

The only good point is the location, nice neighborhood.

The rooms are horrible very small, old and dirty. The bathroom is tiny and it doesnt have a closed door. I dont recommend this hotel at all.
