Myself and two teenage sons loved staying here. For four nights, we felt at home and made ourselves comfortable. The house is very clean, bright and homely and it has everything you need in your room and kitchen if you want to cook etc. Jamie and staff are lovely and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Llangollen.

Clean, nice en suite room. All the facilities you expect from a hostel. Shower was excellent. Very powerful.

Unfortunately too many (3 or 4) children running around, which is a downside of unmanned facilities. So not as restful as we would have liked.

Separate rooms for a small child, not ideal, but husband slept in with our son, so all good.

The hostel is very well situated indeed - the back of the hostel is just off the main car park in the town centre and depending on when you arrive and depart you might not have to pay for parking at all. We were given a 'suite' of rooms insted of the one room with three beds as we expected. This felt like an upgrade as we both got our own space with just the bathroom to share between us two. The house is lovely, old and well looked after. Despite the odd problem mentioned below I would defintely wish to stay here again and would reccommend it to others.

A couple of small niggles really - we were promised a parking permit which we would pay extra for and would be left in the room for us. There was no sign of the permit (I don't believe that we were actually charged for it in the end) and this caused me a little anxiety when we arrived as I wasn't sure if we'd be okay to park - we were though, The kettle in the room and the tea making facilities were an unexpected bonus but sadly the kettle was really unfit for purpose and so we didn;t use it - the owner (?) apologised profusely to my companion and it seemed he was genuinely mortified which while sad for him, does show that he cares about his guests.

great location , clean, and Jamie the manager was very helpful. Great bike store too. Great for cyclists and hill walkers and kayakers .

Staff very attentive and welcoming. Jamie (who was our host), was extremely professional, helpful and went over and above very last minute to put some birthday banners up for me as it was my birthday, this was warmly received and greatly appreciated, thank you Jamie :) The facilities are wonderful, and sitting back in one of those lovely couches in the lounge with the fire on was HYGGE (self care) at it's best!

Booking.com for messing up the start of the booking with the very misleading information with regard to "no pre payment needed". It caused unnecessary aggravation before arrival at the property, which was managed exceptionally well by the staff/management at the Llangollen Hostel (thanks again Jamie)!

The beds are comfortable and rooms are cosy and warm. Big clean kitchen with lots of space to cook. Very convenient to get to as it backs straight onto the car park so we were parked right under our window.

Wifi was out for our room.
