Mayuri is an exceptional host, who went out of her way to make our stay even more amazing. It was my husband's 50th birthday, so she had decorated our room with a banner and balloon. She even brought a cake (complete with sparkler) and sang Happy Birthday to him! Before our stay, Mayuri provided me with some great local info; particularly where to book for evening meals. We were glad we had booked in advance as there were several events on in Llangollen during our visit and some places were fully booked as a result. We had an early start on one of the days, so I'd asked if she could recommend somewhere for a quick, early breakfast. She very kindly organised fruit, juice and toast in our room before we left. The property is just as beautiful as it's hosts; immaculately presented and the whole place smells amazing, so fresh and clean. The guest suites (there are only two) have their own entrance in the property, so even though this is a homestay, you don't feel like an intruder. There was parking at the front and town was an easy stroll downhill (not so easy with a belly full of food on the way back uphill!). My husband had spotted a Tuktuk on the driveway, which Mayuri was happy to show us. She even took us out for a tour of town in it; we felt like VIP's! The rooms have been well thought out, beautifully furnished with the lounge affording spectacular views over the canal and surrounding countryside. Our room had a bath and shower and I loved the little dressing room area, complete with illuminated mirror, hairdryer and straighteners. The bed was possibly the most comfortable we've ever slept in. With high quality linen, it was like sleeping in a cloud. We were made to feel so welcome, so thank you Mayuri, John and Lilly (their super cute dog). We have already recommended Gamelin to our family and friends and we will 100% be back again.

The property is gorgeous , set in a stunning location with amazing views. it was super clean and had everything that you could possibly need during your stay.

I would have liked a firmer mattress but that is personal preference and wouldn’t deter me from coming back! We will defo return, it was simply amazing 🤩

Liked that it was out of town but we could walk to town in about 5mins. The views were brilliant. Hosts lovely, knowledgeable and helpful. Fresh fruit for breakfast and complimentary drinks. Had lovely weekend walking locally and exploring Llangollen especially tea shops and foodie places! Lots more great too.

Mayuri our host was just the best. On arrival she gave us complimentary prosecco and a bottle of beer which was a nice touch, she was attentive and went above and beyond for us during our stay. The room was great, the bed was comfy, the shower was powerful and the view from the bedroom was just sublime. The whole place exceeded our expectations and we will certainly be back in the summer.

A wonderful place to stay ,rooms are lovely and comfortable and our hosts John and mayuri couldn't to enough to make our stay the delight it was .

The owner was very friendly. Emailed me before we arrived with some recommendations for places to eat, gave us processco on arrival and offered us free orange juice and toast for breakfast. Lastly, we were due to checkout at 1000 but the owner said we could checkout a bit later if it suited us. She was super friendly and the room was well designed and boasted a very good view of the village.

Absolutely OUTSTANDING!!! Can not fault this hotel in anyway at all! The owners are SO lovely and go above and beyond to make your stay special. The whole place is simply beautiful and so relaxing. They have literally thought of everything and everywhere is spotlessly clean. Personal touches and little extras make all the difference. Can not thank you enough for making my birthday break away so special and really cheering me up. xx

The room was great, amazing views and such a comfy bed with all the facilities you need or want. But the best thing about our stay were the amazing hosts who couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable, going above and beyond providing a lovely breakfast and even a trip in a tuk tuk! we felt very spoilt throughout our stay and would recommend it to everyone!

the only downside was that we didn’t stay longer!

We had Suite 3 - a separate sitting room with sumptuous sofa, convenient desk, and wonderful view over the canal basin. Quite quirky, but in a lovely way. Spacious bedroom, great bathroom, and a bed big enough to get lost in! Extremely warm and welcoming hosts. Everything, I mean Everything, has been carefully thought through - from welly racks and boot drying, to the room's comforts. Meticulous, yet relaxed. We didn't have the opportunity, but go for the tuk-tuk ride if offered! No breakfast offered, but great cafe recommendations within 5 minutes' walk - a different but great way to start the day.

Stayed as I was hiking Mount Snowden this is 1 hr away Liked everything the hosts are lovely was offered a vegetarian curry it was lovely cleaned my plate they even did me some fruit to take with me on my hike this place was a lucky find for me will be returning. And what a great town Llangollen is will bring my paddle board next as your right next to the River D this place gets 5 stars from me 🙂 I stayed in Suite 3 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Hosts Mayuri and John where just fabulous, very welcoming, polite, cheerful and very knowledgeable, they informed us of all the local attractions, walks and restaurants. Room was fantastic, very scenic views from bedroom windows, good quality mattress and furniture in general. Great selection of teas/coffee/chocolate/water, biscuits etc, and replenished every day, plenty of towels and shower products. The property and rooms are of a very high standard. Easy parking and great access to Llangollen town. Plenty of walks, canal and River Dee on the doorstep. A visit to the aqueduct is a must and a walk up to the castle ruins(Dinas Bran) is well worth if for the views. The hosts are just very genuine great people who make you feel at home and do all they can to make your stay a memorable one which they did for us, we cant thank them enough. Mayuri has many talents including her cuisine, delicious, and the tuk tuk makes you smile. Thank you for the best home vacation we have ever had. Take care John and Laura

Fantastic host's, amazing rooms and location. Views from room were superb and attention to detail unrivalled. I dont think we have ever stayed anywhere where we have felt so welcome. Host's go the extra mile for everthing and we will definitely be back. I would recommend to anyone .

Beautiful decor, loads of space. Incredible view. We were made so very welcome from the moment we arrived to the time we left. Nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic hosts.

The slightest of suggestions (which would only be appropriate if you were staying for more than a couple of days) is that there is little facility for putting your clothing away ie a small chest of drawers would be great! but otherwise fabulous.

From the greeting at the door to the final farewell, this place is amazing. The location is excellent. The suite was beautiful. The decor was exceptional. I can’t praise it enough.
