Great place for a family kids loved the game room and enjoyed the spa, it was clean and tidy and a great environment. staff were helpful and friendly

Facilities were great. Love the games room.
Good size unit for us, very quiet.
Didn't get to use the pool and spa was either closed or occupied by someone else.
Beds are a bit too soft for me.

The room was very modern with a nice bathroom. There was a spa pool - indoor that was very new and an outside pool. There was also a games room that was good for the kids. Location for us was ideal - close to where our cricket games were being held.
The room was very small for a double bed and a rollaway. Negotiating the carparking was also not the best with very little room to maneuver. The games room is in need of some repair and was also too small for the pool table and table tennis that have been crammed in there.
The staff were friendly upon arrival but distinctly uninterested when we left.
We had to cut our stay short because of the ensuing weather.

The place is cozy and perfect for a small family, the room is perfect sizing and everything very clean. Room service was punctual and they refilled coffee, tea, milk every morning... We had a great time!

Lovely motel sort of halfway between Napier and Hastings which was handy for us. The facilities were great. The kids loved the little slide into the swimming pool and the games room (pool, table tennis, air hockey) was lots of fun. The spa pool was fantastic! The room was clean and room service did a great job. Friendly and helpful staff.

The lodge had everything we needed for a long stay, we felt like we were at home. The bonus for us was that the curtains and blinds were blackouts. I can't praise this place enough:)
All was good. It's just a personal comment regarding the dark walls, which I didn't like.

Has been our "go to" Motel in Napier for many years. The entire team are so friendly and look after their guests with an impeccable attitude. We highly recommend Colonial Lodge

The Sky TV was great.
Staff was very helpful & friendly. New spa pool just arrived too. The games room is handy when travelling with children.
The microwave was new, modern and clean in our kitchenette.
It's very far from the city centre.
The mattress on the bed was so soft, I had back pain the entire stay from it.
The bathroom was dark and dated. Not sure why the walls were dark purple, or why the vanity was placed so low, in the height of a child?? I had to seriously bend down to use the sink.
The pool wasn't heated, even though it said it would be.
And the plunger was old, so my free coffee was very gritty, undrinkable.
Whilst the staff were very friendly, I would never come back; it's just too dated. For what we paid, I expected better.

We were greeted very warmly on our arrival. The accommodation was really good and well looked after. We enjoyed the pool and the spa was very much enjoyed a great way to wind down. The games room was a welcome distraction and enjoyed by our family. A short walk to the shops and even though it was on a main road the traffic was not an issue.

Second time staying here the rooms are nice and the staff lovely. Though not as comfortable as last time, it was only because when booking the room was all we could get and it suited where the area we wanted and we enjoyed our last stay, next time hopefully we will be able to get a room more suited, so this time around was nobody's fault.
The fact we couldn't get single beds but as mentioned no ones fault, just booked out when booking.

Hosts were brilliant and made us super welcome. Spa room was fantastic. 2 bedroom unit was clean and had all we needed - a little tight with 6 of us but a good place to stay.
