The location was perfect and it was clean and comfortable. Also liked that checkout was 11am instead of 10am 🙂

Trying to get out of the narrow exit in the carpark was very difficult, actually scrapped the side of my car, as did the car infront of me. Also didn't think we should of had to do our own recycling/cleaning etc for the price we were paying

HWC leaking very badly, cold and hot water feeds wrong way round on the kitchen tap. filter tap loose. shower pressure not good, blinds broken in master bedroom.

Spacious apartment/ well stocked kitchen

Good size bedrooms and lounge. A bathroom for each bedroom was also great. It was only a short walk to Paihia centre. We stayed 4 nights but could easily have stayed longer.

No gym.

Loved the view, location of the property and the quiet atmosphere of the area.

We cooked breakfast in the beautiful kitchen, and had a great time out at the local restaurant. It was so worth ever bit.

Alfresco the next door restaurant, they were rude and unacceptable.

Noisy party bus parked up outside the hotel for maybe an hour at midnight or just after. Loud music and yahooing kept us all awake. Also we paid $500 for one night and we were put into a wheelchair room. By that I mean all the kitchen benches and appliances were at waist height, including the bathroom basins etc. Annoying to use and if they had told us this was the room we would have tried elsewhere. For $500 for one night I didn't think giving us that room without telling us was good enough. When I raised the issue of the height of everything in the room they weren't interested in discussing it. The attitude was we gave you our last room and no one has ever minded it.

Lovely, well-equipped apartment with elegant decor. Views over the Bay of Islands to Russell including perfect view of the New Year fireworks. Free parking. Across the road from the beach. Easy walking distance to bars, restaurants and shops including supermarket.

The price was high, but it was a splurge. Paihia is lively and pretty with lots to do, but fairly wild on NYE.
