The view is amazing and so is the breakfast. Great concierge service.

The bedrooms do not match the modern communal areas. The bedrooms are outdated. The shuttle bus is not regular.

We had a beautiful view of the mountains to the east. Breakfast was fantastic. Easy parking since we rented a car. Room was spacious and quite comfortable

The room was way too warm when we arrived! Had to have window open all night. Left window open the next day when we went out, but the maids closed it. Not happy about that.

Awesome location, fabulous massage (ask for Claudia) at the attached spa, shuttle into town is helpful, comfortable bed and pillows. The included breakfast had a great selection of both hot and continental foods.

There wasn't a comfortable chair in the room, only a straight backed wooden desk chair. No kettle or coffee/tea making facilities in the room, but that seems to be standard in Argentina.

The views and the property were beautiful. The spa was very nice and the food was good.

My only complaint was the manager of the hotel at the front office. He was a bit rude and condescending. My boat trip to see the penguins was cancelled due to inclement weather and I understand that he couldn't help me do anything, but I wanted to see if there was another tour group I can call and he was very unhelpful. When I walked away I overheard him laugh to his colleague about me. Not the kind of customer service I expected. I also asked him nicely if he can accommodate an early check-in and his reply was simply, "there are other people in the same boat so you'll have to wait." I thought his tone and comments were a little off putting and unwarranted. The rest of the staff were lovely, but the stuck up front office manager left me with an unwelcoming impression of the hotel.

Amazing View and Staff

We loved this hotel, the room was huge and we had a view of the whole Ushuaia bay, it was amazing. Also everything was really clean, the bathroom was spacious and the bed really comfy. The restaurant was good too, we had a very nice dinner and the staff in the restaurant was super friendly. The hotel is a bit far from the city centre, but there is a free shuttle service every couple of hours, so it's not too bad.

We only had a bit of a bad checkout experience due to a lack of communication. When we checked in we were asked to leave a deposit in cash because we didn't have a credit card where they could hold a sum as guarantee (not an uncommon practice here, since it happened to us in another hotel in El Calafate). We left 5000 ARS (all in 1000 bills)and we were told we would get it back at the end of our stay. When we checked out tho, there was a different person at reception and she apparently didn't know how to deal with the situation. She made a few calls and in the end she decided to give us the deposit back but all in small bills of 100/200/500, even tho she had bills of 1000 in the wallet (she actually started giving us bills of 1000 and then she decided not to midway). We left for the airport in a hurry, since the checkout lasted longer than expected due to this inconvenient with the deposit, and after 10 minutes we saw that they charged us 5000 ARS on our card. We didn't receive any communication about this, so we had to call them back to ask why we were charged the same amount they just gave us in cash. The woman, a bit annoyed, told us that we were not supposed to get back the deposit because this had been already taken out of the total bill for the hotel. Now, we were not told this during check-in and, if this was the case, she could have just explained it during check-out instead of giving us the money in small bills and then charging us on the card. They didn't even send us an email, or called us, before charging us on the card when we had already left the hotel. This kind of behaviour was totally unexpected and was really frustrating.
