Thomas is such an amazing host, makes you feel right at home. We had a great stay at the lodge - lovely room & great breakfast. The lodge is situated quite close to the sea (driving distance) making it the perfect fallback position for going out on a diverse range of trips during the day & to relax in a nice and quiet environment at night.

Top location for peace and privacy. Also great to use as base to explore the other more popular locations that are a few miles away. Hosts are super helpful.

Lodge was located in a nice jungle. AC was good. Nice private terrace. Bed was good. Host was friendly and helpful.

Everything was a bit dirty and dusty. Many insects in the room, even though all windows and doors had insect screens. Considering the price of the lodge is about double as the other hotels I stayed in, I expected much better. The kitchen was not well equipped. No toaster even though it was written on the list on booking.com. Wifi had problems.

We loved Thomas's place, everything was really quiet and it has 2 pools. The place is family run, there are different types of rooms, some even have a kitchen and if it's possible Thomas will offer you an upgrade for a small extra.

The setting was incredible. Would thoroughly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet escape and to connect with nature. Thomas was so welcoming and helpful throughout - I was just sad that I could only stay one night!

We loved our little bungalow! The whole place is amazing! 2 pools! Even saw a cute little Pizote running around. Friendly owners, breakfast was nice too, wish we could have stayed longer!

Thomas and and Lodge Margouillat provided an excellent stay to finalise our vacation. Incredibly welcoming, kind and helpful in all aspects of our stay. Wifi was good, room and grounds are clean and tidy, shower was actually hot (rare in CR) and great breakfast provided. Thomas was also a great help to order delivery from a local restaurant. We were even lucky enough to see a kinkajou! Thank you for such a wonderful stay Thomas and family!

Not much in the local area, have to drive a decent distance to reach restaurant/tourist areas.
