Handy for our journey, we were phoned to make sure we arrived before 10.00pm . The website stated that if you didn’t get there by ten there was a pin pad to enter the hotel but didn’t mention that you couldn’t get into the room so we left our relatives early to get there before 10.00 so grateful to receptionist for a warning call.

The place is very sad, needs some t.l.c. There were rips in the sofas , stains on mattresses, no spoons for drinks and no sweetener provided only sugar and my husband is diabetic so no sugar allowed , we had to wait until morning to get a spoon!

Extra charge for dog to stay was priced per night although no additional cleaning was done during the stay. I appreciate there is an extra charge for cleaning up additional dog hair but if the room isn't cleaned on a daily basis then in my opinion the charge shouldn't be applied on a daily basis (ie there should just be one flat fee for a dog to stay). Given that this is a budget hotel, almost 25% of the total bill was for the dog to stay as i was charged £20 per night extra for my dog to stay

It is run down which I expect from a place like this, unfortunately it was also quite dirty. Our room smelt like urine and it was grubby. They need to deep clean the property, bleach toilets properly (under rim), clean dirt off walls, dust ceilings, corners of rooms, get new mattresses. There was build up of general grime.

There is no catering and the kettle didn't work.

The rstaurant next door will deliver to your room free of charge and the food was very tasty. Some of the staff were friendly.

The staff were unwilling to even try and order a taxi for me even though it states on the website that they would be happy to. The room was grubby. It's an old travel lodge.

Having used the property many times before, the standard of cleanliness has gone very low. The chair was dirty from outside, door handles not cleaned well.

sheets didn’t fit bed. mattress too big for base. mould on bathroom ceiling and grouting. dust everywhere. not enough plug sockets. moth eaten curtains. only one mug and one towel (rectified by helpful receptionist) grubby carpet. stain on duvet cover.

Probably the comfiest hotel bed Ive stayed inn. Hotel was basic but everything needed and the curry house next door was spot on. Tv could be a little bigger for the size of the room

The rooms are nothing like the pictures. cleanliness is awful and given dirty cups and bedding. loud generator noices coming into the rooms. holes in the walls and dirt/mould up walls. staff very rude and scam you into leaving thinking they are going to refund you and never do!
