Very central to the shops, I.e. food etc Eateries are just around the corner. . the info center for all the tours in the Bay of Islands, the slow ferry is by far the BEST!

Location was very nice and staff friendly. The kitchen is well equipped and we liked the little common room on the first floor, that had also a sink, kettle and toaster. There is a whirlpool that you can use for free which was pretty cool, too.

Our lock of the door didn't work too well. You always had to try several times and jiggle the key in it to find the right position to open the door. Staff was friendly but couldn't fix the problem within a day which is understandable, so we think it was a minor issue.

ideally located for people without transport. Very helpful and friendly staff. Room clean and bathrooms clean and comfortable.

The location of the lodge was good. They have free hairdryers and umbrellas to borrow.

The lodge is pretty old, needs a ground renovation, the showers and bathrooms downstairs were dirty, the kitchen was old, all the dishes are used and old. Internet speed is slow.
