Scenery and food.
Sheets were dirty with stains, the man who brought our suitcase to the room wore his dusty sandals into, our room was supposed to be ready at 2 PM it wasn’t ready until well after 4:30 PM. On top of all this they took us to the wrong room initially. Then the waiter was complaining about bringing our drinks to the table from the bar because we ordered but wanted to sit at a dining table. Very unorganized and the staff provided poor customer service no matter how kindly you communicate.

This is actually best place to be for holidays. I have been there with my children and they think this is the first time they had fun at this level.

Everything was perfect , I could not imagine a place like this in Mali. Even though we reached late for the breakfast they were couteous enough to arrange the breakfast menu for us.

Full of nature around you. Staff was very kind and always help you when needed
Too much flies when you try to eat. There is no mosquito net around you to avoid this unpleasant situation.

The hut (suite with jacuzzi) was really cute and had all the essentials. The entire property (le Campement) is big and located in a quiet area immersed in the nature. At the time when we visited, it was not very crowded, which contributed to our sense of being able to “take a break” from daily life. The pools are nice.
The service is one of the worst I’ve experienced in my entire life. Very slow. Regularly incomplete: they forgot to serve part of it and never apologized. When they did serve what we ordered, they did so with exceptionally long waiting times (25 minutes for a cup of coffee, for example). Did not advise in advance that certain items cannot be put on the room (e.g. Shisha). Did not serve towels at the pool (we asked and were told to wait. After asking a second time, we were told to “be patient”. The towels never came). The pinnacle of this experience was when we ordered a grilled platter to share for dinner, we were told that it is no longer available as the restaurant would close in less than 40 minutes. (Note that that same afternoon, we had explicitly asked the staff of the restaurant at what time we would need to show up at the latest to be able to eat that specific grilled platter and they said there was no timing issue at all, we could just show up any time before 18:30. We sat down at our table at 18:00). After being told that the food was no longer available, we thus went to the other restaurant on the premises and were told by the staff there that we would have to pay for the grilled platter we ordered at the first restaurant. All in all, very, very poor service.

generally we had a nice stay and service was nice. Food was good and well prepared.
two things, and I mentioned this to staff.
a/ the sinks in the rooms are too tiny! Nicely made of local materials, but mal-placée on the cabinet and way too small. :-(
b/ in view of the terroriste attacks in 2017 where several died I was surprised at the weak security for the rooms and cabins. The doors are easy to break, and I know a few friends who hid in the rooms on the day of the attack. If the bad guys had wanted to break in, no problem. They should make a solid metal frame with a better lock, and keep the nice wood doors.

This is truly an oasis in Bamako. Its a lovely setting. Food was excellent!! The pools are amazing!!!!
The prices are high. Room rate is high enough, food and drink is very expensive.
I know tourism is low because of COVID but the place was pretty empty. Maybe this is why the many sitting areas around the property, including outside our room/hut had table surfaces that needed cleaning.
