Breakfast was good.

That was the only stay during 2 weeks in Sicily that we didn't like. Probably because the accomodation is nothing like the photos on Booking. They have quite a few units there and maybe few of them are the ones from photos on Booking and maybe they are nicer. But ours was bad. We didn't even want to have a shower that nihgt. It was dirty. Also the garden is not mantained at all.

We picked and travelled to Etna Botanic gardens because we have a 18 month year old and we wanted a gated location the was both shaded and somewhere for him to happily explore without danger of him escaping. this location was perfect for what we wanted. The apartment was small but had all the modern facilities that a small family would need (fridge, TV, bath & shower, air conditioning). The pool was covered by trees so was great for keeping our child in the shade whilst he played and explored pool the gardens, which themselves were beautiful. There we peacocks freely walking about the place which fascinated our child and also a koi carp pond with fish in. Everything about the place was perfect for a young child with excellent breakfasts, and meals for dinner if you booked in the morning. With the local town centre located 5 minutes walk away it was all we needed for a short stay away.

The bathroom was quite small. The breakfast is quite basic. But overall clean and nice, very recommended!

So glad we found this place, a real hidden gem in a busy area. Garden is beautiful and we really enjoyed walking through the grounds to spot the peacocks. The pool area was great with plenty of shade and the junior suite gorgeous.

Breakfast was a little disappointing, no fruit at all and only a limited selection on offer. Was disappointed to see plastic disposible cups for juice and not reusable ones. Storage in the room was also lacking and not well thought out.

Rooms and suites are enormous and very stylishly done. Hosts are great.

It is a great break from the busy center. The pool is great, the gardens are beautiful and the room had everything we needed. There are art work spreed inside and out. The breakfast is great too.

Beautiful location in a large and quiet garden - best place for relaxing. Nice pool, stylish sicilian rooms - and an extraordinary breakfast with homemade marmelades 😂 And not to forget the owners Salvatore and Marina - always nice, friendly and helpful.

First of all: the garden is absolutely gorgeous; I'd already recommend the property just for that! On top of it you'll find some peacocks strolling through it. The location is OK: perfect to visit Catania (20 min. by car), or the Etna. Mascalucia itself isn't that special, but you'll find everything you need close to the property (even some fine dinner options). The people running the place are friendly and open for a chat, so no complaints there either. Oh, and there's a spacious swimming pool.

Although I would recommend the place, I do think there are some things that could be improved. - we stayed in the 'superior' appartment, but it felt kinda basic: the place was humid and rather dark, the kitchenette/'living room' was really small so it isn't really suitable to relax inside (due to the weather conditions we were forced to stay inside more often) and there was a terrible odor in the bathroom. - I noticed a lot of complaints regarding the breakfast. I really don't think it's all that bad, but it's just the same buffet every morning. We would have welcomed some fresh fruit, and perhaps some non-dairy stuff too. But above all, in context of an authentic, artsy breakfast room and a green garden, it just seems weirdly out of place to use all those single-use plastics for the breakfast. Maybe go for somewhat less options every day, but more varied, more genuine/local products instead. Bottom line: if you're looking for an all perfect ****-hotel, then this might not be your thing, but we definitely prefer this kind of residence full of charm above every other twelve in a dozen hotel.

While the place certainly has its merits, I believe there are areas that require attention and improvement. During my stay, I noticed that certain areas of the accommodation were not properly maintained. For example, some common spaces appeared neglected and in need of repair.

Marina and Salvator are very nice people. They organized a transfer upon request, showed the sights and told where to spend time and leisure including Catania. Arranged the best trip to Taormina including the interesting boat trip and back to Garden.The apartments were as described. Very nice view of Etna. Very beautiful and old clean garden. Big pool. Good breakfast and quick feedback from the staff. Many birds and funny dog inside)).Crazy pleasant smell of blossoming orange and lemon trees!! Very satisfied with the reception and recommend to visit Botanic Garden.

Nothing everything was perfect

Etna Botanic Garden is a charming agriturismo. The proprietor and the staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities, room, and breakfast were as described. It is an unusual and unique property (and it is not a generic bland hotel!).

This hotel is a paradise, beautiful huge old grown garden, a few houses, an oasis of calm in the middle of a crazy busy city.

The garden itself, as well as the owners are very nice. It is like a green enclave inside a busy city. There are many animals as well as plenty of different plants/trees. The room was quite spacious and interestingly designed. There were no major issues and the minor ones were definitely surpassed with the advantages.

Due to many trees around the house (which on the other hand is an advantage!), there is almost no sun coming inside. As a consequence, the room gets quite wet inside with moisture on windows, walls etc. Secondly the breakfast is limited and repetitive (which could be important for people staying in for many nights).

I loved the tranquility of the place.. the pool was always mostly just us.. it truly feels set apart from the rest of the world

Needs a small update but on the whole everything works well.. if you need WiFi you have to stay near the breakfast room. No WiFi in rooms TV was super small

The deluxe appartment is just beautiful. You feel like you are in the jungle with all the windows having a view on trees, plants and other botanical wonders.

The place feels run down and it appears they had started some renovations in the bathroom as a glass shower screen installed but no sign of a new walk in shower.

An expected green location just few km far from Catania. You cross the door and you fell inside an a nature place

It was our first stop in Sicily after a couple of days in Rome. We had 2 apparments. A and abrand new, beautiful honeymoon cottage and an older also charming cottage.The garden is really nice and quiet The owners and personnel are friendly and helpful. It was quite hot so the swimming pool is also a plus.

Nothing but the new cottage is more comfortable.
