Wonderful hotel, feels like a little quiet jungle in the busy Tulum Pueblo. Loved the garden with the pool and sounds of the birds. Very lovely hotel owners, Erica gave nice tips for the surroundings. On Tuesdays there is a salsa night next door, just go there and have a fun evening :-)!

Only improvement I could think of is curtains that make the bedroom a bit more dark.

One of the best hotel rooms we had in Mexico, new, had nice amenities, and a beautiful porch facing the lush gardens. The owners were very helpful, sent us lots of information. The hotel is convenient to restaurants, bank, laundry, and not far from the bus station. If you need to stay in the town of Tulum, it's a great choice. This would have been a "10" for the hotel alone. If you like having your very own live music concert in your hotel room, then it's definitely a 10. If not, we'd recommend coming on Wednesday when the venue next door is closed and it's very quiet.

The hotel is right next door to Palm Centro, great for the food court, and possibly great if you like music in your room. The "background" music during opening hours is expected in Mexico. But the live music is quite loud, and comes right into your room. Our Monday night stay was tolerable, and the music ended by 10:30. But Tuesday was salsa night with a hot band that played very loudly with great enthusiasm until 11:30. (Palm Centro supposedly closes at 11) Our advice: go over and dance, or dance on the porch. (The owners have tried to negotiate an earlier ending but with no success. There's really nothing to do except be glad they don't play until 1 am.)

Wir haben 2 Nächte bei Erica in Tulum verbracht und es hat uns mehr als gut gefallen! Die Unterkunft ist wahnsinnig liebevoll gestaltet, der Garten ist unglaublich schön, sogar mit Pool. In ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuß ist man in der Innenstadt von Tulum. Erica hat uns super unterstützt und uns für alle Fragen tolle Tipps gegeben. Bucht unbedingt ein Zimmer dort! :)

In der Nähe gab es leider kein Frühstück. Die Besitzerin gibt viele nützliche Information. Die Hotelanlage ist sehr schön und gut gepflegt.

Am Dienstag gibt bis 23Uhr laute Musik aus dem Gelände nebenan. Mit Auto ist es schwierig zum Strand von Tulum zu gelangen. Es hat extrem viel Verkehr. Mit Fahrrad oder gemietetem Motorrad geht es besser. Leider ist die berühmte Riviera Maya durch Clubs, Hotels und Private besetzt und überbaut. Einfach irgendwo baden zu gehen ist schwierig. Ich war vor 30 Jahren dort, die Entwicklung ist enttäuschend.

The place is well located near the bus station and various restaurants but it’s just next to a food market (which is a really nice place) but be prepared to have loud music almost every night of the week

Zentrale Lage, sehr schöne und gepflegte Unterkunft mit wunderschönem Garten. Sehr hilfreicher und netter Service der Gastgeber. Bei Fragen oder Hilfe waren sie immer schnell und gut erreichbar und haben ihr bestes gegeben um zu helfen und einem den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie mögich zu gestalten.

In der Zeit in der ich dort war gab es eine Baustelle auf dem Grundstück weshalb es täglich etwas Baustellenlärm gab.

Zamunda es un oasis en Tulum, el único problema de venir aquí es que quizá nunca quieras irte. Sus anfitriones Erica y Loris son súper simpáticos y cuidan mucho de sus huéspedes, proveen una lista de servicios,restaurants y tips de su recomendación lo cual usualmente ningún otro alojamiento hace. Las habitaciones son súper cómodas y su estado es impecable, muy nuevas y muy limpias. La privacidad es absoluta y proveen absolutamente todo para que la estadía sea perfecta, hasta el último detalle. Sin pasar por alto que la piscina y el jardín son hermosos y súper tranquilos Gracias por hacer de nuestra experiencia en Tulum algo mágico sin duda volveremos a alojarnos con ustedes❤️

The hosts were wonderful friendly people. We loved the unlimited free drinking water and the affordable accommodation, which included a kitchen and living area. Outside the room it was very tropical, with a pool and a couple of hammocks to set the atmosphere. We also rented a scooter there, which was handy for getting around (not too many of the local sights are within walking distance). On Tuesday night, the neighbouring food district has salsa dancing to 11pm. We joined in (I think it cost $100 pesos) and had a great time.

Tulum’s town centre doesn’t have a lot to see. However, the beach area is so expensive that, for us, staying here and exploring by scooter was very worthwhile.

Everything. Nice rooms. Big. Clean. Everything worked well. A/C worked perfectly. Great shower pressure and hot water. Coffee machine, fridge etc. pool was lovely, garden, whole setting was so nice. Very quiet. Ridiculously good value for money. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. Erica is so nice and helpful and gives you loads of information of what to do etc.

The room was very clean and comfortable and pleasant to be in. The gardens were superb and the pool area was very nice. It was extremely pleasant to take a dip after the long hot days. The Palma Central food court next door had live music a couple of the days and it was like having a private concert for us in the pool. Erica was extremely friendly and was nice enough to provide us with some fresh aloe leaves from her garden to help us with some sunburns. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

A beautiful comfortable and spacious room in a delightful garden setting. We loved watching the resident woodpeckers and blue jays from the pool. A very relaxing stay for those interested in nature rather than the beach resorts. The owner was very helpful with information and booking tours

Really enjoyed my stay here. The owner is great and gives you lots of information about the area and places to eat (great food truck venue round the corner), trips etc and can send all by WhatsApp. The garden is incredibly peaceful and pool is a good size. Rooms are big and well laid out. Don't be put off that it looks to be further out from the center, it's still a comfortable walk and only 50pesos in a taxi to the other end of town

Really loved our stay at Zamunda. The rooms are spacious and super clean, with a great patio where we spent a lot of time. Can’t say enough about the garden and pool area, which were giving a relaxed vibe and you could feel like in staying nature even tho the accommodation is in town. We really appreciate Erica’s welcoming and all the info she provided in the messages which basically covered all our needs. 🫶 A big plus is the Palma Central foodtruck area next by, which has a great vibe and offers lots of food options. A place we definitely recommend and we’d love to come again one day!

Everything was great at Zamunda. Erica is such a great host. She provided all the necessary info (options for sight-seeing, eating, shopping etc.) and more while checking in (in fact some info was provided even earlier). The property is aesthetically pleasing, filled with plants, equipped with all amenities including a pool) and well maintained. The location is close to central Tulum which has all the shops and restaurants you would need for your trip. 100% value for money. I highly recommend staying at Erica's property while in Tulum.

Amazing accommodation. The host was so helpful. She sent me a lengthy whatsapp message when I arrived with information regarding how to get around, tourist attractions, restaurants etc. It was amazing to have and we used it throughout the holiday. The accommodation is better than the images on booking.com

Erica and Loris have been amazing hosts! We only booked for 2 nights but we hope to find availability for next time. The environment was so peaceful and positive.

The apartment was wonderful, with all necessary basics. The hosts were kind and helpful, and the gardens relaxing, with a caring gardener. The location was a bit further away from the business of the main drag, but sufficiently close to many shops, restaurants. I particularly liked a fruit grocer nearby, as well as the food court that opens in the morning and evening.

On some evenings the nearby food court place played louder music, but this typically stopped at 10pm or 11pm which did not bother us particularly, but might be an issue for some travelers who are yet to adjust to Mexican lifestyle :)

beautiful garden and pool area that is daily maintained by the staff. good location on the outskirts of Tulum city with parking space in front of the hotel. restaurants are nearby and the whole city is completely in walking distance. we would definitely book it again for our next Tulum trip.

The hosts are super helpful and welcoming, with lots of useful advice, easy short walk onto the main strip of Tulum and close to lots of recommended eateries. Bike rentals next door which are essential no matter where you stay in Tulum and can be stored on site. Lovely pool area with loungers and hammocks, the rooms have a rustic feel and are clean and spacious, loved the addition of beach towels, a coffee maker, and access to drinking water was another bonus. Palma Central food court is conveniently next door, the music never bothered us and never played too late. Would definitely stay again for price

No fault of the property as these things happen but unfortunately our air-con broke on our last day which they did try to fix but we weren’t able to use it at night whilst sleeping, but thankfully it was only one night so we survived :) As it’s a leafy green oasis there are a lot of mosquitoes

The Hosts are Fantastic Italian couple that will provide you with well prepared information and recommendations around Tulum, their advice is very valuable! They also rent out scooter for better price than in town. Beach towels with bag in the room, Rooms interior is super cousy in Ethnical style. I recommend the bungalow type of room with terrace facing the inner garden with pool and Gamaks! Super good value for money! and Street food market next to facilities

Beautiful quiet place set off the main drag. The rooms were of high standard, the bed was giant and comfy. Towels super soft. There was access to drinking water and a pool with towels. The owners were super friendly and gave nice recommendations for things to do / places to eat. Lovely outdoor food truck market behind the apartments (although music went on until 11pm). I would 100% stay again.
