the hosts were very generous, we were late and they did wait for us - they have provided everything we needed and were very courteous. we needed storage for the bicycles and they let us use the garage. The property is specious, the place was clean, the kitchen had the needed supplies; the rooms were big. There is a bit of a vintage atmosphere to it and some of the furniture seems worn off, but everything was functional and handy. Best of all about the property is the view from the terrace - it is right in front of the Aveiro lagoon and it is very refreshing.

The location is marvellous, The view across the lagoon at dawn was amazing, and because of the different pattern of the tides it was always different. In the evening and through the night the area is quiet and peaceful. We slept soundly through the night. Highly recommend that you take a bicycle, the house is directly on a wonderful cycle path. Just a few minutes in either direction to shops and restaurants. Pots and pans, glasses, crockery and kitchen implements galore.

This was a stylish house when it was built in the 1960s. It has been updated with wifi, microwave, TV etc. But the house is quite old fashioned. It is not a warm house when the sun has set. We were glad that we took a hot water bottle for the bed.
