Big room, 10 steps to the sand of a private beach. Free kayak, snorkelling, pool and bicycles. Good restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely will come back.
The location is a bit far away from the residents, but you can use the bicycles of Gold Coast to go around and buy stuff. Thus only recommended for a relaxing trip at the beach, stay away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown Phu Quoc.

We had a beachfront room, which was quite spacious and was not steps to the beach, lounge chairs or hammocks. There was also pool. The location for us was great, but it was an 800 metre walk into town, which had an excellent fresh seafood restaurant right at the harbour. The hotel also provided meals which were also good. Staff were very helpful. This hotel is very quiet and relaxing.
Nothing

This resort is everything it claims to be and then some. The rooms are so comfortable and so clean. The food is amazing and the manager and his staff could not be more helpful. came for 2 days and stayed for 7
nothing it was all fabulous

Fantastic quiet location with a beautiful beach and bungalows situated beach front and in a tropical garden. Wide selection of food and variety of drinks at the restaurant. Nice pool. Loads of spaces to sit beach front. Was really quiet with not too many guests when we were there, which we liked. We had an enormous bathroom as well with a large shower and separate bath. Super lovely.
Nothing.

The staff truly made this place amazing. They were very attentive and sweet. We loved the private beach and snorkeled in it every day with the free provided snorkel gear. We loved how calm the resort was and felt like we were the only ones there most of the time. There is a lot of coral off of the private beach so there was lots of fish to look at. The resort also had 5 dogs that we played with the entire time we were there. We always love new furry friends! We had breakfast and dinner at the Wooden Restaurant and they were both good with a lot of variety between Vietnamese and American cuisine. We also had drinks at the 2B Social Club a few times and those were great as well. When we needed to go anywhere the front desk workers arranged transportation for us.
The road that leads to the resort and the lobby and front area itself is underdeveloped and unassuming. We were really nervous pulling up to the resort because we had to drive on a muddy road. Hopefully when the resort is more developed it looks better and less scary. We had a family of 10 and had to stay in 3 different bungalows. Our bungalows were every other one on the beach so if you’re wanting to stay with a large group keep that in mind. The beach is full of coral so if you like snorkeling it’s a plus but if you just like swimming in sandy beaches this might not be for you. The bar area was massive, but was always really hot. We saw the same workers everyday but think they might be a little overworked. We felt bad ordering too much because drinks and food did take a while coming out sometimes since there wasn’t a lot of people to serve it. If you’re looking for more bougie, luxury resort vibes this isn’t for you. Dinner prices were $$$.

Quiet yet fun atmosphere and snorkeling in the front beach area is awesome! The staff were very attentive and made us feel welcome. Breakfast is a true feast.
4.8
- very relaxing
- location (there is nothing really around it, but it is so nice and you’re almost alone. though no restaurants)
- beach
- a la carte breakfast
- Kajak, snorkeling
- free transport if you stay 4 nights
- bikes, though the silver ones are in really bad conditions
- it’s quite authentic, like not to luxury and also not too big
- Happy Hour
- vegetarian and vegan dishes
the staff was friendly in general but it seemed that they were annoyed quite fast. So you kind of did not feel very comfortable to order more.
also for breakfast, if it would have been buffet we could have got as much if we wanted but for the a la carte they let us feel that we ordered too much (but we liked it a lot that it was a la carte).
the waiters also do not speak any English.
in general it was not too bad but I just expected something else out of a three star place.
- there are also some tiny little things: bad silver bicycles, expensive laundry, broken chairs at the terrace

Very comfortable, clean and well kept.
Staff were very young and could be inattentive at times. Just need a bit more experience. Mind you I'm an old fogey, so what I say doesn't reallt count for much.
4.8
Spacious, airy room. We had a beachfront room with a small veranda at the front and a door at the back which lead to the swimming pool. It’s not a huge resort so it feels intimate. everything is within easy reach. Food choices are good although no western choices. Decent vegetarian selection but must like tofu! We didn’t try the room service but it does have pizza and pasta on it. we had a thoroughly relaxing stay there and are going back in a few days.
The lighting in the communal areas is a bit bright. Breakfast is good but is a la carte and not buffet. A couple of times we were served cereals etc at the same time as the cooked food was brought out.

Quiet location away from the bustle of Duong Dong. Pristine and private beach, with warm and shallow water and lots of places to sit (lounge chairs, swings, hammocks, a pier). We felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves most days. Free snorkel gear to use. Free bicycles which came in handy to go into the village of Ganh Dau to get snacks or other items. Fantastic restaurant on site with tasty food and even better service. Eastern and Western breakfast items, all delicious. Great suggestions for off-site snorkeling/sailing/trekking tours. Clean and well-designed facilities (our room was right on the beach, about 100 feet from the shore), big rooms, and excellent bathrooms. A nice pool on the premises (but we spent all our water time at the amazing beachfront). The absolute best part about the place is the staff, though: always friendly and willing to do what they can to make your stay perfect. Highly recommend this resort.
Nothing we didn't like. This was a week in heaven and we were sad to leave.
4.8
Very clean and the grounds and beach were exceptionally maintained.
Good selection of well prepared food and drinks. Staff very attentive.
The building site next door worked at night until early morning. Out of the control of Gold Coast but annoying non the less and mention should have been made at time of booking.

The best place in PhuQuoc, we spent on the island 5 months total 2019-2023.
Nice rooms with big bathroom. always clean. the staff is super nice and helpful. always ready to assist.
restaurant with beautiful view was delicious offering vegetarian options. we stayed 10 days and had not get tired of the food.
The beach is one of my favorite on PhuQuoc. tiny or no waves, clear water. boats, snorkeling equipment is available for free.
bikes for free.

Very nice and cozy place. Friendly staff. Normal vietnamese food.
Location is a bit out of main tourist areas, just keep that in mind. European breakfast not thay good.

The pool, the beach and the cocktails were great
A little more care for baby friendly did choices and secure high chairs would be better

We had a fantastic stay. the resort itself is beautiful, the food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was absolutely fabulous (and we’re foodies!). The personnel is so gentle, service minded and fun to be around (could benefit from a bit English training 😊). The only thing to be aware of is that the neighbourhood is not very nice, but not a problem at all. The personnel gave good advice and helped arranged fun trips around the island. We will never forget all the fantastic meals we had literally on the beach. We highly highly recommend this place! Thank you!
nothing!

The room is super close to the beach. Beach is a bit small but private and has nice sceneries with rock, wooden bridge. The water is emerald blue and so clear you can see fish swimming around the rocks on a sunny and calm day. Meals were good at reasonable price. I ate 7 meals there due to small kids and not many restaurants around, but still happy with the cooking. Seafood is very fresh. The place feels like home after a few days.
There are rocks/dead corals under the water so it's not totally pleasant walking in the water although the beach is flat and water is shallow, but you can do some snorkeling to see the fish in the corals/rocks, and explore the rocks, quite interesting.
4.8
House is clean and comfortable. Very good breakfast and a nice beach.
Snorkeling was no good because coral was a lot of garbage.
4.8
This is a good hotel. But it looks more like a hotel than Asian wild bungalows. When you are inside the room, there is a feeling that you are in an ordinary building of any hotel, and not in a house on the seashore. For some, this will only be a plus. Good restaurant (though expensive), delicious smoothies, fruits. Great breakfast!
The beach is very small and with rocks. At the entrance to the sea - sand and stones. In those days when there was wind and the sea was with waves and opaque, it was impossible to enter, because it was not visible where the sand was, and where the stones were. The hotel is far from all civilization and there is absolutely nowhere to walk around, that is, you can only eat and lie down.

The service was excellent. All of the employees at the restaurant were so attentive. They really made our stay very enjoyable. We really liked the food at the restaurant and it was very reasonable priced. We also enjoyed the happy hour cocktails!
The beach looks much better in real life. The bungalows are pretty big and you can rent bicycles for free.
All in all it was one of the best stays on our journey.

The photos don't do it justice. This place is wonderful. It was exactly what I wanted from my second week on the island. The bungalows are great; they are big and very comfortable, and steps from the beach. As a person that wants peace and quiet at all times, I was very happy not to be in one of the bungalows around the pool. They are just as good, but the pool seemed to be the place the kids wanted to be, and I don't want to be around screaming kids on a quiet beach holiday. The beach is gorgeous, the staff were absolutely lovely. Most don't speak English, but there were enough key people working that did. The woman that oversees it all was completely lovely. She spoke excellent English, and she was extremely welcoming and organised. While this resort is definitely a long way from all the action, it is also walking distance to the little port town. The resort has bikes that you can use for free, but none of them were big enough for me! But I needed a solid walk after overeating at the delicious breakfast buffet. There are also a couple of kayaks to use which I loved! I also liked that the bar and restaurant here were not overpriced (as is often the case when you're in the middle of nowhere); happily, it ended up being a much more affordable part of my holiday. And the cherry on the top was that if you stay for 4 nights or more, you get a complimentary taxi to the airport-which is about 50 minutes south. Oh and on clear days you can see across to Cambodia....cool!
Minor things. Like the bed was huge (and comfortable), but the bottom sheet wasn't quite big enough. Plastic rubbish tends to wash ashore, not the fault of the resort, but the gardeners clean it up twice a day, so it's not a big mess or anything.

We opted to stay at the less touristy part of the island and glad we chose this lovely little resort.
The rooms were spacious with a comfy bed, small fridge, safe and good AC. The bathroom had both a large, glassed-in shower and a jacuzzi tub. The porch was great to hang out. The large pool and clean small beach are great for cooling off. There are multiple outside seating arrangements for dining and relaxing.
The included buffet breakfast was varied with both Vietnamese and western choices, and plenty of fruit and good coffee. The restaurant was also open for lunch and dinner, with a variety of reasonably priced dishes, and many vegetarian offerings. And there's a bar with a happy hour 😀.
Thes staff is lovely, and a few speak English. They made sure we had what we needed including transfer from the ferry and then to the airport when we departed. Bikes werr free to use, and maybe a little better than average for Vietnam. We enjoyed exploring the town which is a 20 min walk or 10 min bike ride away. We did eat some of the local food which was also fresh and delicious.
Also want to put on a plug in for Pierre at Viet Sail. He is located at a resort next door, and took us on a half-day snorkel and sailing trip. it was one of the highlights of our month in Vietnam.
All in all, we had a wonderful time at Gold Coast where we could just hang out and be well taken care of.
The resort was great.
Phu Quoc is relatively easy and cheap to get to but, like much of Vietnam, spoiled by trash and overdevelopment. Gold Coast does a good job of providing an oasis.
4.8
Very beautiful place. It's a 45 minute drive from the airport, but worth the journey many times over. Brilliantly run, but relaxed in style. Great food. Lovely rooms. Very friendly staff. Beach, sea, peace.
Absolutely nothing.
4.8
Excellent from start to finish. Very helpful with transport, booking activities and general info. Awesome breakfast and restaurant for dinner or lunch. Clean beach and pool. Free bikes to rent to get into the city of Gahn Dau.
4.8
Really great service and facilities. The restaurant was best in class. The breakfast best in Vietnam. The pool is great for kids with water slides.
Room was supposed to be 50 sqm but was 40 sqm. The bungalow was advertised as “one full bungalow” but all bungalows are shared with another room.
None of this matters to me but it wasn’t true.
4.8
The location is remote but absolutely beautiful and the staff were so friendly and keen to help. The rooms were huge and incredibly well designed. Just lovely.
Nothing not to like here!
4.8
The bungalow here was one of the best rooms we have stayed in, it was huge and extremely comfortable. The resort was well located and very beautiful, though a little rundown it was being worked on while we were there. The staff are all lovely.
At one stage on Sunday there was Karaoke on both sides of us and the resort restaurant was playing music, not exactly restful. You go to an island for peace and quiet it would be nice if they kept the music at a lower volume or just off.
They have one of the best fish markets I’ve ever seen about 800m away it would be great if they offered a next day fish service but no they only have one of those horrible tanks with knackered old fish in, a shame.
4.8
We had a great time, the rooms are big, the food is delicious, staff very friendly. I highly recommend the resort.
4.8
Lovely place and very friendly and helpful stuff.
You can order everything that presented in menu, wide verity of dishes, cocktails.
Nothing to complain about, just be careful when you go for a swimming, theres some underwater stones (not everywhere), might be for a purpose to reduce waves.
4.8
Not in busy tourist area and location was on outskirts of local fishing village.
You can go for a bike ride or walk into the village to experience what life is like with markets and food vendors. Plenty of local food on offer. Avoid overpriced restaurant at end of jetty though. Gets good reviews online but from local guides who get kickbacks for taking tourist there.
Nothing really. Bathroom bit outdated and tired but property magnificent and great for relaxing
4.8
Swimming pool. Quiet and peaceful area. Good staff. Good food. Nice beach.
Pillows are high and a bit hard.
