Friendly staff and location

No mattresses on lounge at beach and tv not working.

The location is superb, accommodation and food fantastic and the restaurant on the beach amazing. All the staff were very welcoming and attentive and provided 5 star service throughout our stay. We'd highly recommend Mowies and would love to come back. We wish we could have stayed longer this time. Thank you for some great memories.

The atmosphere and design of the bungalows was very cute and transported you straight into vacation-feeling. The beach is right in front of the hotel and there are beach beds reserved for guests of the hotel. We always had a bed available for us. The food was pretty good and it was nice to have coffee and food available at the beach and brought to you at your beach bed.

The staff was very inattentive at some times, we had to wait for quite a while before we got a menu on multiple occasions and repeatedly ask for drinks we ordered that we didn’t get. Either way the staff was friendly and especially the manager did a great job at welcoming us. What wasn’t disclosed beforehand and should be noted is that the last bungalows will most definitely be disturbed by the muslim morning prayer around 4:30 am. It lasts for about an hour and it sounds as if the prayer was happening right next to your bed. As we only stayed two nights it didn’t bother us too much but keep it in mind if you book a longer stay.

Everything was nice, reasonable meal prices and wifi was fairly good. All in all lovely stay

I wish they opened restaurant earlier for coffee and breakfast, cable channels weren't working the whole time.

Good location on Gili Air. The food was really good. Beach and pool which is great! The bathroom was really good. The bed was comfortable.

Mowies is a dream come true - exceptional accommodation (beautiful little beach huts set amongst a very pretty garden each with beautiful bathrooms & the comfiest beds) and a stunning restaurant leading onto it's own section of pristine Gili beach. The staff are all so incredibly welcoming & helpful & it was by far our favourite place to eat on the island as well as enjoy a cocktail or two. By far the best place to stay on Gili Air & we would return in a heartbeat. Missing this magical place already x

We liked the restaurant/cafe of the hotel a lot. Just by the sea, with an amazing view and sunset, accompanied with great music and tasty food, and even better juices and cocktails. The staff was very friendly as well. Room was spacious (though not very clean) and overall comfortable as well.

Cleanliness could definitely be improved. As an example, there were a lot of stains in and on the toilet, and mosquito net around the bed was very dirty and felt like it hadn't been washed for a long time. WiFi connection was pretty bad in the room. We lost the connection very frequently and when we had it, it was very slow. Also, it's not about the place, but the sea is not really suitable for swimming on that side of the island as it's very shallow even if you walk/swim 50-100m out of the beach. The east side of the island is much better for swimming. Since the island is very small, you can walk to the other side in 15 minutes.

The location is superb, right at the beach with amazing sunsets. The food and drinks were of high quality. The staff is super helpful and so friendly!

With the open bathroom roomtypes it can get rather hot. Also the aircon in the room wasnt doing much.

sadly I am clearly just not a beach bungalow person! I got bungalow number 1 and unfortunately it just was not for me. The 2 main things were the poor wifi and bugs - there were ants all of the bathroom and I had spiders and mosquitos inside my mosquito net which meant a sleepless night. There are also no blinds for all the windows which means it’s very light in the morning. it was noisy as I was right next to the footpath. also because I had no TV in the room , I relied on wifi to keep me connected to back home or watch Netflix but sadly the room got no wifi signal. after a sleepless uncomfortable night I checked out and stayed elsewhere for my remaining 2 nights on the Island. the breakfast menu also a let down as you get a small menu of 2 options if staying in the rooms which felt cheated and also was made to feel beneath the paying customers. I will say though , the reason I have given a higher review rating is the way they handled my complaint. I got some money refunded to me and they were very apologetic so I applaud them for that. to some people this will be perfect place to stay but for me it just wasn’t a right fit .

Great location - best on Gili Air for sure! Right at the beach and perfect to few the sunset. The bar/restaurant is great and has a really good vibe, friendly staff, nice outdoor veranda in front of the room

Unfortunately there was a strong smell from the bathroom when we arrived. The staff we really nice and tried to get rid of it, but it never really went away. The room was pretty dark and there is no place to hang your clothes - might just be a problem of this particular room though (we took the last one available which was a family room)

the staff and service was great. this is definitely the best place to stay on gili air. everywhere else looked pretty empty and a little run down. the food is good (not a lot of gluten free options but luckily we brought our own bread and they used it as a sub for some of the dishes). the bed is big and comfy, the pool is great and a good temperature. it’s quiet at night.

more gluten free options, beach was so so (but that’s not their fault), the beach chairs could use padding and the front ones are too slanted. overall pretty pricey. the boat do gili air and back is hell, only take the morning boat both ways.

Mowies was definitely the best place to stay on the island. The rooms are beautiful, the staff friendly and the food was fresh, well presented and tasted great. Also has the nicest beach. It definitely exceeded my expectations!

Everything was perfect about our stay at Mowies. The staff was treating us like family, always welcoming with a huge smile and a friendly hello. The place is beautiful, right on the beach with a cosy restaurant where you can enjoy a cocktail and watch the sunset. Our room was very comfortable and it was perfect to feel the paradise island vibes. Gigi and Efhoenk took such a good care of us. They are good people, doing their job very well. Leaving Gili Air

The best accommodation weve stayed in so far! Adorable little huts. the place was spotless, comfy beds, mosquito net provided, staff so friendly and attentive, food and smoothies are great! Good location they will also organise a bike if you want to rent one and drop it to your door. Pool is always clean. They refill water for you at no charge which is rare.

Absolutely nothing it was perfect

We loved our stay on Gili Air! The staff were so helpful, booking us a ticket on the fast boat from Bali, with a hotel pickup. The bungalows are small but big enough for what we needed. The location is perfect, right on the beach with a great view of the sunset. All the food and drinks are extra, but they are reasonably priced and the food was delicious! In terms of value for money, we can't fault it.
