Ronald and Jet are the absolute best and the area is beautiful. The breakfast was also excellent and dinner was the most excellent we've had with a good conversation. We will be back!

Great place - we had a lovely studio room with bathroom, kitchen and a balcony. The property is in a lovely village and is Rustic and charming. Try not to drive past the sign to there door as the road past it is very skinny. Jet and Ronald are lovely hosts, the breakfast on the balcony is superb - and the dinners are fabulous getting to know your hosts, fellow guests and the fabulous wines of Portugal.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Jet was very friendly and helpful in suggesting places to visit that really suited our interests. The home is in a lovely hilltop village. We had a spacious room with a comfortable bed, lovely linens and spectacular views. We enjoyed access to the beautiful garden. Breakfast was varied and delicious. We were appreciative for access to the well-equipped kitchen. We highly recommend a stay here.

Absolutely everything. The spacious room with view, the lovely property with pool, terrace and garden, the wonderful dinner with other guests on the terrace, the hosts. The drive up the mountain to Provesende is spectacular.

Our studio was spacious and clean. Best equipped kitchen of our 6 month travels. The dinner/wine oprion cooked by Jet and hosted by Ronald was also a good experience. Lovely swimming pool. You need a car the get around.

The studio was very dark and light bulbs dim. We needed lights on even on the sunniest of days. When people in the room above moved around we could hear every footstep.

Beautiful room, views and super entertaining group dinner with amazing food and wine. The hosts were very accommodating and kind. The garden to sit and read in are incredible as well!

It was out in a historical village, great hosts. Really enjoyed the dinner with the other guests and the host. Plus the wine tasting. Good views.

Took a bit to find, mainly due to Google maps trying to take us on vineyard tracks rather than roads.

Very spacious and well-equipped studio with a walk-in shower, a little kitchenette and everything we needed. The location and the surrounding views in the village are amazing, for wine lovers especially. The breakfast was also super nice. We would definitely stay there again :)

The apartment was super comfortable and nice. The only negative thing was the lack of natural light in the room but when you only stay there to sleep and relax, it doesn't matter at all.

Place is unique. Very nice room. In the mountains. Nice view. Dinner served by owners was special accompanied with tasting of wines.

Jet and Ronald have created a magical hilltop space. We loved their special wine accompanied dinner. The rooms were spacious and we had use of a shared kitchen.

The narrow street access and stairs would definitely not work for everyone.

Everything. The hosts have gone out of their way to create a five-star Douro valley stay for their guests. Rooms with en suite bathrooms are spacious. Views are incredible. Breakfasts and dinners (optional) are not to be missed. we learned so much from both Jet and Ron! Our favorite stay in all of Portugal!

Mesao Provesende: An old beautiful house – exceptional, charming and perfect - A real "hidden gem" My girlfriend and I (Mariane Bennedsen and Mogens Heyk Petersen from Denmark - age 64/68) have just completed our 1 week trip in the north of Portugal (districts: Porto, Vila Real, Viseau, Guarda and Aveiro), where we stayed at 6 different places. We arrived later than hoped (6pm), but we were greeted friendly by Jet who quickly set us up in our beautiful room (no.1) and she arranged within ½ hour that we could participate in a 3 course dinner with wine tasting included together with a Swedish couple and the host Ronald who entertained us a whole evening – Thank you both! We simply loved to stay at this place app. 10 km from Pinhão with well heated rooms and also a beautiful garden and great views of the surroundings. We give the best recommendation for Mesao Provesende and we will for sure stay here again, when we hopefully come back to wonderful Portugal and Pinhão. We enclose a few pictures from the house/room and to the surroundings - you should not miss this wonderful place!
