About the front gate my husband hit it when it closed at night they should fix the front gate

Clean, modern room. We've booked the standard but with an ensuite bathroom. It was on the same floor as the rooms with shared bathrooms. The latter is indeed close to the room. There is a laundry below and the lady is super friendly!!

The room has no window but the door is a kind of window. It could be noisy if there are a lot of guests.

Very clean and pleasant accommodation. Perfect for a one night stopover before crossing into Laos.

there was no one at reception when we came to check in and we were with another tourist who wanted to book a room for the night who left because no one turned up for a good 10 minutes of waiting - however we eventually found a number to call and the staff did appear. the shower was also cold and didn’t get warm..

Good location and good value for money.

There were religious messages everywhere in the hostel. There never seemed to be anyone at reception, but the staff were friendly and showed up quickly as soon as you message them.

the pod style private rooms have very thin walls so it was a bit loud heating other travelers. great for one night before heading to Laos.

We booked the room at the top of the hotel which looked great in the photos. When we arrived we found the ceilings so low we couldn’t stand up, the door wouldn’t lock, the toilet wasn’t accessible as laundry was being done in the area where it is located and it was very hot. We asked to change room and they charged us to do this.

Very comfortable beds. Very clean room although small as expected. Clean shared bathroom with hot shower and toiletries/towels. Quick check in. The owner was very responsive on WhatsApp when I messaged him.

The cafe wasn't open downstairs when we left at 9am which was surprising. Walls are very thin so if a light sleeper bring ear plugs.

only stayed for 1 night but it was clean and had a few shops and restaurants nearby with good food.

Cheap and conveniently located. Hot water and air con and even had a hairdryer in the room. Not bad for the price.

Bit tired. Could do with a coat of paint and would improve it substantially. Wi-Fi very intermittent.

The hostel itself is a very nice place: clean, good views from terrace, cozy common area with books and guitars, good location, etc.

BUT: Don't book the slow boat at the hostel!! The owner was very helpful in the booking process, but you get an overpriced ticket. I paid 1,900 Baht including the pick-up from the hostel to the border and transport from the border to the pier. I met other people at the border, who booked their tickets as well through their accommodations in Chiang Khong including the same things and they only paid 1,300 Baht. They even had the better service, because they had someone going with them through the border process and were taken immediately from the Lao side to the pier. I had to wait more than half an hour there to be picked up. 600 Baht difference is a lot. That didn't feel good. If you cross the border immediately after arriving in Chiang Khong, stay in Huay Xai and book the ticket there, it's even cheaper than that.

The atmosphere and The cleanliness also the best location Thank you wonderful service as well even we must after ourselves for the check in so its so safe for Covid 19 situation.

Great place to stop over before heading to Laos, very clean rooms and good facilities. Breakfast was lovely. Staff helpful.
