Fabulous location at the very heart of Lincoln with everything on your doorstep. Nicely decorated and presented with great attention to detail and a real home from home feel. Cosy and warm on cold bright winter days. Would highly recommend.

Brilliant location. Quiet but right on doorstep of Lincoln’s sights. Arrival very good communicated in good time, went very smoothly. Good directions. Excellent place, all you need for a short weekend stay. Good value.

Wi-Fi actually just a 4G hotspot, pretty average. No freezer in the fridge. Nothing too much to complain about!!

The property was nicely furnished.

No signs to get to the actual property. Road is very narrow to get to.Wi-Fi well a box with flashing lights that was it.TV kept loosing signal. Nites saying we had to put bedding in plastic bin bag and take rubbish out used towels in shower. not a relaxing stay at all.got told to leave £25 for the cleaner if we wanted to stay later. check in at 4.30 check out 9,30am we haggled and got 1pm in 10,30 out. left a bad feel for the place before we even got there.not a nice stay at all.

Delightful holiday apartment in a brilliant location - very near to Lincoln Cathedral and other attractions. Loved the quiet tree-lined streets all around, the chimes of the cathedral clock and the bells on Sunday, sitting outside on the patio at the back, views over the Lincolnshire countryside.

We love it here! Very Clean, comfortable, everything you need is provided, parking right outside the door, excellent communication, brilliant location, perfect place to relax and to shop! We will be booking again soon. Thanks!

The Stables is located in a superb position to explore the beautiful city of Lincoln. The addition of a private parking space means that you can park the car and access this wonderful city with ease, without the need to move the car and fight for a parking space. The Stables is beautifully decorated with a quirky and interesting style (see if you can spot the little wooden mouse). The owner's, Mike and Jane have done a fantastic job and this makes a stay in Lincoln all the more memorable. The close proximity to some wonderful cafes, restaurants and pubs meant that the cooking facilities were not needed. But the kitchen area was lovely and well laid out with everything you could possibly need for your stay. We would recommend The Stables to everyone and look forward to a return visit in the very near future.

This is a really lovely property in a fabulous location. It is has been beautifully designed and furnished with interesting touches. The shower is spacious with plenty of hot water. The kitchen while small is well equipped (but there are so many restaurants nearby the kitchen was not needed for our stay). It was extremely clean and well maintained and provided a warm and comfortable base for our stay in mid Feb. There is a lovely terrace but it was unfortunately too chilly and breezy to use during our stay. It is very close to the Cathedral, Castle, Steep Hill etc (literally a 3 min walk) and there are plenty of pubs and restaurants and cinema etc close by. The hosts are very responsive and all arrangements were very easy. I would highly recommend a stay, we will definitely return.

I can't find fault with anything.

The location was excellent, with a very easy walk to both the castle and cathedral and near to a good range of shops/cafes/restaurants/bars. The provision of a parking space was a bonus. The property was clean and comfortable and the quirky décor added to the charm of the house. Plenty of information was provided which was much appreciated.

Luckily we had checked the location of the property on Street View before we arrived. I think we would have missed the turning without having done that! There was nothing we didn't like

Quirky decor, central location. Comfortable

The property is clean, comfortable and cozy with a great location. I was worried it would be cold, but it's well-insulated and it was easy to adjust the thermostat on the heating. The bathroom had a good size shower. There's a little terraced patio with a view of the city. Everything worked. The hosts were pleasant. It was lovely and quiet! It's a small space, but felt very homely.

Overall, I really liked it and would definitely stay there again, so these are very minor. I'd prefer not to be asked to take the bins out - it's just another thing to do when you're packing up. I'd prefer there to be a place to separate recycling. It's got some internal steps which didn't trouble me but might for others. The patio would be a worry with small children as it's on a steep hill - but the view was lovely. It could do with a sign where you turn right on Gibraltar Hill as it wasn't obvious where it was the first time. I didn't mind, but there's no dishwasher.

Excellent quaint, little cottage, right in the heart of Lincoln's cathedral quarter, literally a two minute walk from the castle. The property was spotless on arrival and had everything we needed. Our daughter loved having her bed up in the little mezzanine in the bedroom! Would recommend for anyone staying in Lincoln.

Outside entrance very shabby,few planters would make a big difference, patio area uneven flags and only 2 odd cushions for furniture

The choice of decor was lovely, we had all the benefits of a city centre location but inside the apartment you felt like you were I'm a rural cottage.

The location is brilliant, Mike and Jane were very responsive from the start and the house is just generally amazing. We had everything we needed, the beds were extremely comfortable and everything was clean. I could easily have stayed for longer.

I think there might be a small problem with the toilet, it does flush but it makes quite a loud noise for a while after. I’m sure this is something easily fixed and did not impact our stay at all.
