Very friendly, helpful, and welcoming staff. Great pub with good atmosphere. Have stayed there before and will be returning again soon. Fantastic position and clean environment. 10 out of 10 in every way. My favourite hotel/bar.

Nothing we didn't like

We liked the location and view from the hotel! However, there was an unpleasant smell in the room and it was not clean enough. Anyway advantages were more than disadvantages!

The location is very central. You can walk into the center easily. There is a bus stop nearby if you need it. There is wifi, but I did have to ask for the password. I wasn’t given it.

It wasn’t very clean. The ventilation was dusty, the drawers haven’t been cleaned in a long time, and it was just generally dusty. The room was very noisy, you could hear the music from the cafe/bar till 2am very very well. I could also hear my neighbours very well, since the walls were very thin. There are very steep stairs, so not very wheelchair friendly. It said there is free parking, but it’s shared with the residents there, so I was only able to find a free parking spot once. The last time I had to park 6 minutes walking away and it was paid. Overall, the property is fine for what you pay for it, but it’s not amazing.

Very simple and clean. a donkeybike stop right next to it. nice bike ride to the center or at night back home.

Quite simple, e.g. no shampoo, shower gel, hairdryer, but if you’re only looking for a room to sleep in it’s still good value for money.

Not necessarily bad, but it is worth mentioning that the private bathroom is literally a bath only. Toilets are outside the room and shared with other guests.

The big windmill is just opposite of the hotel. The staff is helpful.

Staff was super friendly and kind! I was able to check in before official check-in time and got a drink on the house while waiting for the keys. Kitchen was generally equipped with dish soap and sponges as well as dishes. The room had a shower built in. There was a mini fridge and TV in the room. My room was much cleaner than the common facilities and freshly made up before I moved in.

The room and shared kitchen smelled funny (cigarette smoke?). It's an old building, so you hear the other guests. The kitchen was not super clean. There was a cupboard per room with dishes, however I had to clean them before using.

Hotel was dirty !!!

Location is great, close to the old city center. Room #2 is big and bright because of the many windows. Room is clean, with laminate flooring. Also a plus is that our dog was also welcome.

If I have to name something, it would be the carpet on the (steep) stairs and hallway and the bed was a bit hard

The hotel is located in Schiedam, a suburb of Rotterdam. You can easily get to the center of Rotterdam using a metro (located 500 meters from the hotel). It is a small hotel and cafe. For the money we paid the room was enough big with a private bathroom and a nice view of windmill. Employees were very kind and helpful.
