Comfortable furniture, lovely well-equipped kitchen. Nice laundry room and great bathrooms. Mountain view from the deck and close to the river (you could hear it with the windows open). Living room, family room, and all four bedrooms had TVs. There is a cute playground, if you have little ones.
4.6
Nice place clean and good mgmt. Only negative is the deck is scary high since this property is on a steep slope. We didnt feel comfortable letting kids out.

We loved the house. It’s comfortable, roomy and has a well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed walking to the river and our little granddaughter loved the playground. Hope to return soon!

It was a beautiful mountain home.

It was really a nice rental. Usually stay up in Keystone but this was really nice for the price. Heater didn't work well no matter what we sat it at but other than that, it was great

Beautiful views. Great shower!!!

Loved the cabin decor

We loved hearing the sound of the river when the windows and doors were open. Proximity to RMNP is unbeatable ! The on site playground is near the river and very well kept. Kitchen is fully stocked, beds are comfortable, showers/bathrooms are gorgeous. Things that could improve would be deck needs a little work (a few of the floor boards were a tad loose) and the railings seemed short / sketchy for how high off the ground we were. There is NO Air conditioning, so be prepared to use box fans (provided, thankfully) and sleep with windows open. All in all, we would recommend this spot to our friends and family. Gorgeous views and gorgeous cabin.

This house is in a quiet area in a great location near a rushing river. With the windows open, you can hear the soothing sound of the flowing water. The house is well laid out for multiple couples. We had 4 separate family groups and we all felt like we had our own space. It’s very clean and the kitchen is well stocked with appliances and basic spices and pantry items. The internet worked very well for us and we enjoyed watching DVDs from the collection in the evenings. We are looking forward to returning to this house on our next trip to Estes Park and RMNP!

Loved this home. Loved being close to RMNP which gave us more time in the park and less in the car in traffic in Estes. We found a great restaurant with delicious drinks and food which we had never been to before. The house gave us space for all to have time away from the group and wonderful gathering spaces for our together times.

We loved staying at Mountain Splendor! It was extremely comfortable and very clean. Beds were comfy and we had plenty of space to relax. We would definitely recommend!
4.6
The home was nice and the location was great. However, the trip was made difficult by the flies. I don’t know where they were coming from — if we killed 50 and left the home 50 more would be out when we returned.
Made it difficult to enjoy the home.

Great home, comfortable and well equipped. Parking for limited vehicles proved challenging for our stay with 4 separate groups of family members all coming in from different locations but we got by. Location is extremely quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

Just a great property all around. Hiking is always amazing and super helpful property mgmt even on a holiday. We have been coming to Aspen Brook for 25 years.

This nicely decorated Home has a wonderful private feeling even though it’s in a neighborhood because of all the large trees around it. Looking out from the main level all you see is trees. The master bed was comfortable, and the kitchen had everything that we needed. I left a message with the number provided because I had two questions about the property and no one ever returned my call. That’s the only downside I would say to this property. Otherwise we enjoyed staying there.

Four couples had a wonderful stay in this beautiful mountain home. It is very comfortable with lots of room. The home is tastefully decorated with lots of great art. The decks have wonderful views. Great location, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and furniture.
4.6
The house was spacious clean and well maintained. The decor was unique and amusing. The community spaces were designed well and there were games and ice breaker questions, placed around. One thing that we found peculiar was that the house had a ton of vhs tapes, but no vhs player. We definitely would have liked to have a family movie time with some of those titles.
Kitchen was well equipped with lot of amenities. However there was no complimentary coffee or tea. There was not even a single k-cup or tea bag for a wake up beverage.
Another issue that we faced was that hot water in the lower bathroom was intermittently getting cold, and there was no continuous stream of hot water to last the entire bath.
Apart from some short comings we had a pleasant stay which could have been even better with some coffee. The community is beautiful and there were a elks around which made a good photo ops.

Lovely mountain retreat!
Mountain Splendor was a wonderful retreat for my family, which was three couples and one other person. Although the listing says two king and two queen beds, they all looked like kings to us. The great room was a terrific place to relax and read or gather for games in the evenings! The kitchen was well-equipped and had ample counter space for two or three people to prepare dishes simultaneously. Although the house is in a neighborhood, we saw no one else the whole time we were there, and it felt very secluded and quiet.
The location is such that you can actually walk into the YMCA of the Rockies from the house. RMNP is five minutes away by car. We took a few walks along the Big Thompson River which were just lovely.
We heartily recommend this vacation home, and would not hesitate to return.

Group (of 8) stayed at this location for two nights. Overall, we are pretty happy with the place. Checking in was easy. We could locate the home easily but the roads within the neighborhood are more on the "unpaved dirt road" rather than Paved road. When we entered the home, it was pretty clean. Kitchen was well equipped with lots of dishes, utensils (we did cook and eat there. So, we had enough for 8).
Bedroom in the main floor is large and has a nice shower. Bedroom in the basement was good but was getting quite cold in the night. Two bedrooms upstairs share a single bathroom.
In terms of what could be better - Shower head upstairs is really small and barely has pressure to take shower. Would be great if the shower head can get changed there. Bed linens looked really old and we had some concerns if it was replaced (the top cover not the sheets) after prior use. Furnitures in the main room are quite old and we were rather careful in use so we don't cause damage.
There is a long list of checkout rules - a bit annoying but was not an issue in following (including getting rid of all the trash in the community trash location)
Overall we had fun and I would certainly recommend the home to a large group but would recommend to the house management team to address a few things listed above

We were three ladies from Texas celebrating our 60th high school reunion. We had a blast!. This is a lovely mountain home conveniently located to all summer activities. When we first arrived, there were a couple of housekeeping issues, but the property manager responded quickly. We would rent this property again in a heartbeat and hope to return in 2022..

This is a great property for two families or two families and grandparents. It really will sleep eight comfortably. We were pleasantly surprised that paper towels and toilet paper, basic spices, cooking utensils, and a propane grill was provided for us. We loved the beautiful pottery and mugs and the Indian/Mountain decor. I discovered that most mountain houses do not have air conditioning. Being a Texas girl, I was surprised by this. We stayed during a particularly warm week and cooked many meals outside. Hot weather is unusual in the mountains, but plan to be away from the house in the middle of a hot day.

Let’s start by first saying we arrived a bit earlier than expected an inquired about early check-in. We were told that at this time early check in wasn’t a thing due to COVID and the extraordinary cleaning that is being done for our safety. So when we get in the rental my brother soon discovered the smell of something dead in the kitchen. I guess during the extraordinary clean the occupied mouse trap on the floor by the refrigerator that was in a stay of decomposition that it had to be scraped from the floor. My brother nearly vomited during that clean up procedure (which in my years of vacations was a first). They also missed the food in the cabinet from the previous guess. Rice also stunk up the cabinet and the leftover bread had an expire date of 3 weeks prior to our stay, so maybe a month? Guess they figured the COVID wouldn’t last on those items after a few weeks anyway? The rental itself was nice. Kitchen had a nice modern feel, the rest was the typical dated stuff. Leather couches from the 70s and cheap DVD players. Now let’s talk about some of the rules. The community is no smoking, not just the house, but the community. They even go as far as saying you aren’t even allowed to smoke in your private vehicle... liberals. Also, leave the lights off outside when not in use, it’s a dark sky community... but all the lights were on outside the rental next door the entire week, and it wasn’t occupied... be sure not to wander on foot anywhere down the drive or off the property or face eviction for trespassing. I’ve stayed in plenty of rentals with several rental companies. This one was a bit forced as VACASA took 100% of the rental on the day of booking and due to COVID we had a credit that had to be used within a short time. A refund would have been the appropriate thing. At least I may have remained a customer. Not a chance.

The property is very pretty but the description of certain rules (parking, cleaning, etc) had major discrepancies from what is listed on vrob and then what they have posted in binders and notes around the house. The left lamp in the master bedroom swivels like it's about to fall off the wall. There was a very active mouse in the basement. The master bathrooms soap pump was broke and had mold in it. There are notes all over the house about additional fees for loose trash in a trash can and having to use kitchen trash bags for any/all trash. The check out time online states 10am, it's posted as 11am on the fridge, called vacasa customer service who stated it was 10am. (Could have resulted in additional cost due to their inconsistency) The parking on certain emails states 3 vehicles at the property and there is additional parking at the HOA (which the additional wasn't posted anywhere in the house or within the community). There is a garage but you aren't allowed to park in it. If I didn't pay close attention to the multiple emails from vrob I would have missed this. No where is the garage parking on or off limits posted in the house or on the posting. Some emails state 3 spots, some state 4. The description of the property should also list it's not ideal for small children as there is a drop off down the mountain on both sides of the house. Beyond beautiful environment but will not be back. Felt like we were being watched the entire time by fellow property management. Also felt like we had to clean the house as if we found it, which really makes me question what the cleaning fee was for. Likely will not use vrob to book anything in the future.

We really enjoyed this home! What we especially liked was the layout...everyone had their own space. It was close to everything including the park entrance. The home was very clean and nicely decorated. We all said that we would like to take this home with us everywhere where we vacation!

We had a great family reunion. It is a very spacious and comfortable house with a great view. The kitchen was very equipped for cooking for a large group. We were disappointed in the lack of internet connection. We were there Tuesday-Thursday and only had internet connection for about an hour Tuesday night.
