Lovely, clean rooms. Elsa is a great host, and her baked bread for breakfast was a lovely surprise. The kitchen was fantastic and had everything needed .

The WiFi kept dropping out, but otherwise perfect.

We stayed in the guesthouse. The host lives on the frist floor. We could hear them walking through the ceiling, also after 10 pm... didn't sleep very well

Elsa is a wonderful host, she makes you feel at home and even bakes bread for breakfast every night! She showed my daughters two sweet lambs she’s taking care of and her dogs. The common area is very nice! It was our favorite place so far in Iceland

The lady who handed over the keys gave us a nice presentation. We were happy to use the sauna, and we were also happy to have breakfast (bread baked by the lady herself and some spreads and coffee) prepared by the lady. Interesting location, beautiful surroundings, in short, we would be happy to return. Thank you, we were very satisfied.

It was all good. So there is nothing to complain about.

You are welcomed into a private home, with a distinctly “homey” feel. The room and bathroom facilities are comfortable. You can use the kitchen to prepare your breakfast, with homemade bread. (I would have liked some fruit juice, though). The accommodation is easy to reach and reasonably priced.

Elsa was an absolute joy. The bread she made for everyone was delicious.

We were welcomed by Elsa who immediately made us feel at home. She showed us round this beautiful home which had 2 toilets and kitchen complete with milk and items for breakfast. The bread was absolutely delicious and the whole place made us feel really relaxed. We even got to meet some of her animals who were wandering around who were lovely. Elsa also gave us advice on the route to take based on the weather conditions which was really appreciated. The room itself was large and the bed comfortable. If we're ever in Iceland again I would definitely stay here again.

Really made me feel at home. I was expecting something like a hostel but this was extremely homey and cosy. Loved it!

Elsa is a very nice host, she welcomes you and shows you around. The cottages are cozy and clean, you have your personal toilet inside. In the old cowshed is a shared kitchen, where you can cook. There is plenty cooking equipment. Also there is a community room with a dart board and a pool table. Every morning Elsa brings a selfbaked loaf of bread. But the best of this place are the cat and the two dogs which are welcoming and friendly 😍

The warmest welcome we received here from Elsa! The common space was great with all facilities. We enjoyed the darts, pool table and instruments.

Maybe some blackout curtains to block the light more.

I knew that the bathroom will be shared ( even shower could be easily fitted in cottages) but it's quite unpleasant to have a shower far and running across in cold weather.

Cozy place. Elsa was very kind and i felt like home. Definitely stay here again next time. Breakfast was good, all house was clean. About 15mins from Egilsstardir(which makes it a quiet place), so you'd be better to buy stuff before checking in if there's any. Already miss this house.

This place is a gem!! So much like being at home, in a beautiful place, calm, full of beautiful energy!! The owners are super nice and welcoming!!!

We were welcomed by Elsa upon arrival and given a tour of the facilities. We had booked the "cubic" cottage, so this review will apply to it. The room was modern and comfy. We slept really well at night despite the windy weather outside. Kitchen and bathrooms are in a separate building 50m away, also very modern and clean. There's a large living room with books, stereo and pool table if you want to chill. We stayed here in October so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Excellent coffee in the morning from a true coffee machine. Would definitely stay here again.

We only stayed for one night here, and would have absolutely loved to stay for two if our plans had allowed it. Elsa was incredibly friendly, and made check-in easy. She provided coffee and freshly baked bread for us in the morning. The property was large with great amenities, including a hot tub, sauna, and game room. One of our favorite places we stayed and absolutely amazing value.
