Super close to Mt Rushmore but just outside of the hustle and bustle of Keystone.

Location/restaurant

The location is pretty good, just out of town. There are several cabins that look nice and the set up looks nice. It has a good restaurant, and the wait staff there was great.

In the 4 plex we stayed at, the walls are very thin. You can hear the people next door talking and at times even hear what they are talking about. Lots of road noise also in this 4-plex. And in our unit, the bathroom had a bad smell to the point that we had to keep the bathroom door closed. The staff did look at it and the smell was a bit less the next night. Biggest issue though are the thin walls....

Food at the motel restaurant was fantastic, Room was affordable and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Room was a little smaller than expected but comfortable and adequate.

The owners have excellent communication and customer service. The food was incredible. When you walk in to check in. Immediately a smile from employees and it smells so good.

Stack were very friendly, good location.

Description indicated we would have a deck. Instead we had a sidewalk with 2 plastic chairs. Very disappointed!

Location and the style of the hotel room were great. The property accomodated us as seniors for request of a first floor room. Having the restaurant on site was a plus. While everyone was pleasant and accomodating, a lot of the staff had accents, so it was difficult to un derstand them. Learning the history [on the menu, if I recall] of the building and location, made it even more special.

The room was great for the price. Amazing location and comfortable room.

Extremely disappointed in the restaurant. We specifically chose this hotel and restaurant as I cannot eat meat or dairy and they are the only place in Keystone that had a vegan option. We waited 1.5 hours for a table and after ordering we’re told they did not have the vegan option on the menu available. They were only able to offer plain side salad. By this time any other options for me to purchase food were closed. It was a comfortable bed but a very hungry night!

The location made it convenient to get to the nearby lakes and attractions.

Location was awesome. The wooded setting was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted a different feel than. Just another hotel room

The beds were not comfortable. Woke up with a sore back every morning. Also the correct cabin is difficult to locate. Numbering should be bigger and more prominent

Disappointed in room, small , picture showed balcony, didn’t know I needed to upgrade to get descent room. Location good, restaurant food better than any other place we ate. Pillows sucked, water in toilet was yellow looked like urine

Restaurant was awesome. Enjoyed walking up the hill to catch the view.

We loved our cabin's porch and the Powder House restaurant. We ate three dinners and breakfasts there and everyone was outstanding as was the service.

Only one towel bar. Just one more would have helped.

Restaurant was very good. Location perfect. We stayed 2 nights. They did not come in to straighten room after first night but I could request extra towels/Toiletries
