I was going to this hotel since 2007 and it’s use to be exceptional, I was so disappointed to find the state of the rooms and overall of the hotel, it really need serious renovation , this is my first visit since the pandemic and I was so disappointed

THE Buffet was not good. COLD meat, Cold spaghetti, Cold Sauce, No flavor and overall sub standard for this type of hotel.

Great location, very convenient for me to travel to other parts of China and to meet people

We were very disappointed with this experience. Let’s start from the beginning. When we arrived at the hotel, there was no bell boy. We took our suitcases to our room in the small lift. When we got to our room, the room looks totally different from the photos displayed on booking.com. what makes it even worse is it stinks with smoke. The photos shown are for a suite. We complained at the reception and the manager Ken showed no compassion to our experience. He claimed it’s booking’s fault and booking has mistakenly displayed incorrect photos for the room. He said he can change a room for us due to the smoke smell but he will not be able to honor the room type shown in the booking listing because it was booking’s fault rather than the hotel themselves. So we were moved to a different room with less smoke smell. I complained to booking about this and Ken still refused to provide the room advertised. Then the next day, sewage from the toilet upstairs leaked from the light on to our loo cover and there was a pool of sewage which was extremely disgusting. I contacted Ken again and finally he moved us to the suite. During the 2 nights stay, we changed room twice and we handled our luggages ourselves for the whole time with no help from the hotel staff. Frankly the management of the hotel is the worst I have ever seen. It’s more like a 2-3 star hotel. The corridor always stinks of smoke. The carpet is dirty. Happy hour is mediocre with processed food. Food in Shang Palace is good however the service is not to a professional standard for example champagne served at room temperature and no one ever filled our glasses for the whole evening.

Reception are don’t speak English, Then got deposit from my credit card. but didn’t rufunded after 7 days. i don’t know how i get it back.

I like the staff service because they were very accommodating and Susie has exceeded my expectations. she has even offered to help me with my lost suitcase.

I think the orange juice in the mini bar is expired and the room needed refurbishment.

The lobby area is lovely, the aroma as you enter really lovely. Welcoming, helpful staff. Kobe Li was excellent help! The signature massage at the spa was really good and great value.

Room was very small and a bit dated. The bath extremely small! Breakfast had a good selection but a lot of the food was cold. The executive club deal was offered a limited selection at tea time and evening food did not cater for non meat eaters. The pool was large enough for a proper swim but not enough loungers provided. It was a pleasant staycation but I doubt I will return.

The happy hour is amazing. Delicious food and wine. The pool area was very nice, water bottles and towels available on sun beds.

I haven't been to Shangri-la Shenzhen for a while because of Pandemic. Really enjoyed this stay in Horizon Club.

The staff were excellent particularly Joseph who was helpful, courteous and charming. Would stay again

Great stay! The receptionist suggest us to pay extra 400rmb for a bigger room and some things. In a beginning I thought she wanna trick me but let me tell you it worth every cent. We had snacks which actually was an afternoon coffee with amazing cakes and cookies and other great stuff,then there was an happy hour which actually was a dinner and alcohol 😁. Swimming,table tennis,gym.

Good and convenient location, wonderful staff and very professional high standard service, excellent breakfast /dinner buffet, clean & quiet swimming pool, our cozy room was facing HK with a great view, well-equipped gym. Truly incredible tea options. We had a beautiful relaxing week staying at Shangri-la.

The 360 bar and Champs sport bar was very good.

Horizon club was not well stocked compared to other hotels we have been to

Shangrila is one of the finest hotel in Shenzhen. While entering the hotel room ,.the door has no latch mechanism; it gets closed on it's own and making difficult for guests to take their luggage in and out

The stay in Shangri-La Hotel was very comfortable. recommended
