nice staff. they also help to take care our scooter. Beautiful view from my room.
that didn't bother me but they shouldn't turn off air conditioning in the lobby and hallway. too hot for the staff to work all day.

Great location and lovely people.
Loved the pool and enjoyed the cocktails, just wish we could have stayed longer. Very close to sights and markets and rooms were really comfortable and cool with a nice balcony. Follow us and the hotel will reviewed on our blog https://www.facebook.com/therapleyblog

The rooms are comfortable but that's about it.
Staff hasn't been trained properly. They don't understand customer service. Have no training on the bar or how to cook western food that they have on their menu or in the spa. Infinity pool has been drained so it's a pool about 1m deep, no sauna or steam room. We were apparently given an upgrade as we got stuck there for 3 days in bad weather. But nobody told us until they're knocking on the door. Again under trained in all aspects of hospitality. They mean well and are very polite but Melia need to send in some management to train them and bring what could be a great hotel.

The beds were excellent, the rooms clean and comfortable, the bathrooms marvelous with good space, water pressure, and hot water. The razors actually worked. :)
Also, given the issues, a day later, the management responded and offered an upgrade and massage. Lovely people. Given the right support, it shall be marvelous.
The bar had no tonic water, I went to buy some downstairs to be able to have our drinks. The pool is not infinity and therefore too shallow to swim if euro sized. Wine service was lacking knowledge, ordering western food on the menu was a disaster.

The beds & the rooms were excellent clean comfortable & spacious.
Seriously do not ask for red wine unless you want it from the fridge & for some reason they only have that one bottle available in the entire hotel so you can't get a proper wine. We'd been in Vietnam for 3 weeks so we decided to try the rack of lamb for a change to our dining experience.
What we received was 2x5mm thick pieces of lamb so over cooked in the microwave they were grey but fatty, the mashed potatoes were fridge cold. When we sent it back it came back 25mins later with less than when it came out the first time. We asked to see a manager none ever came. Eel soup was delicious. But in the end we walked out, went across the street and found what we could in the rain....fried chicken
The staff are friendly but untrained in all aspects of customer service. They're lack of knowledge in all aspects of what's required in hospitality from pouring a drink, cooking a meal, rectifying a complaint.
They gave us an upgrade but didn't tell you until they're standing at your door by then I couldn't be bothered moving my belongings for one night. Lovely people but you need to train them so they can do their jobs correctly.
3.5
The rooms are great, very comfy beds and pillows, fast and sufficient hot water.
The staff is very kind and courteous.
The pool is heated.
The bar had no tonic water. We were told it was not available. We went to a shop downstairs and brought sime to the bar so we could enjoy our drinks. We also brought chips and peanuts because on offer were broken nuts only and very few.
The infinity pool stopped short, the water so low We could not swim without touching the bottom in every stroke.
The pool bar is closed, permanently it seems, so no drinks by the pool.
Dinner was a disaster. The poor staff do not know how to serve wine, it came very cold, with shot glasses. The courses took an hour to be served, while the soups were excelkent, the rack of lamb were a complete failure, returned ince, with even more issues...clearly trying to serve simething they have never eaten or seen. We requested service, management, staff was at a loss, we walked out, had something across the street.
We extended our stay, purchased breakfast, only to find it was unavailable as they tried to convince me to eat beef noidles instead. We went to the supermarket, bought goods, and camped out in our rooms eating good food and watching mivies and working online. They are clearly not preoared to serve what is offered and satisft western expectations the brand promises.
Qe did receuve an upgrade and a massage ib the last of three days, but then they tried to collect room servuce at 10 p.m.!! Why not wait till morning? Besudes I had 250000 dong cash at reception...very weird, uncinscionable acts and attitude, mostly caused by poor management, simply not up to par.
