Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff! Hotel an absolute visual delight! Loved it, including the delicious breakfast. Our stay was an absolute treat!

Shower in the bath

Felt very accommodated and welcome as soon as we arrived by the staff and were so amazed at the view and location of the hotel.

The bar outside at the front of the hotel, if they could sell food and drink not just drinks that would be amazing so we could eat and drink whilst admiring the spectacular views.

Comforter not quite big enough to cover 2 people in bed. Art work depressing (especially of the chained elephant and tsunami).

This hotel is superb in every way. We have stayed at several ‘Small Luxury Hotels of the World’, each varying sizeably in standard but without hesitation, we would class The Lydmar Hotel at the very top end and certainly justifies being a small, luxury hotel. Apart from the excellent location (a short walk away from the City District, the old town, and various other islands), the food here is a delight. The standard of cleanliness is exceptionally high, it offers spacious rooms and unlike most cities, it is very quiet. What really makes this hotel however is it’s staff. They are extremely professional, courteous and friendly. The welcome is warm from the moment you arrive and they go out of their way to provide assistance with restaurant recommendations, taxi bookings and provide a very good account of ‘Fika’!! Special mention must however be given to the face’ of The Lydmar Hotel, the gentleman who is ‘front of house’, the gentleman who arranged our anniversary dinner and who, quite simply, is a credit to the hotel.

It's hard to describe how much I like this hotel. It's my first choice every time I come here. Like home, people who have lived will like it and say it from the bottom of their heart.
