Cozy cottage close to beach and area attractions. Fall Specials!
Situé à quelques minutes à pied de la plage (environ 5 dixièmes de mile de Moody Point sur Ocean Avenue), ce chalet est niché dans un quartier résidentiel calme. Depuis le salon, vous pourrez profiter du bord du parc Rachel Carson et admirer le marais qui mène au front de mer. Asseyez-vous dehors sur une terrasse confortable ou détendez-vous dans le porche fermé. La maison dispose de 3 espaces de restauration parfaits pour les familles et les rassemblements. La cuisine est entièrement équipée avec un four micro-ondes, un lave-vaisselle et un coin repas confortable. Détendez-vous dans l'un des deux salons. La maison dispose de 2 chambres avec lits queen, un lit jumeau parfait pour un enfant et un canapé-lit dans le salon. La chambre principale a une petite terrasse menant à la cour latérale et il y a une salle de bain supplémentaire adjacente à la deuxième chambre. La deuxième chambre a aussi une petite télévision. Outre la télévision par câble, la maison dispose également du wifi. Le chalet est également équipé d'une laveuse et une sécheuse.

The owner of this property was wonderful to work with. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. Parking at the beaches can be an issue, we are fortunate to have friends that let us park at their homes.
The only slight negative was the well water and the mosquitoes...and pretty much impossible to get rid of those pesky bugs.😉

We had a great stay just a short trip from the beach and other amenities! Had a nice cottage/camp feeling and wasn’t over the top or to modernized. Everything was as advertised and it was a quiet peaceful stay. Betsy was easy to deal with and very tentative. Would definitely recommend.

Betsy’s house in Wells is a perfect combination of an ocean beach house and a cabin in the woods. Located in a quiet neighborhood less than a mile from several gorgeous beaches, you can either walk, or if you have more than a little beach gear, you can drive to the top of the main road and park on the street for free.
The house is thankfully not overly fancy. It’s got a real casual vibe that is simply relaxing. Comfortable bedrooms, (2) bathrooms, some nice extra space, a lovely pine paneled front porch, a family room with TV and space for what I set up as an office, a huge eat in kitchen and a living room. We spent a month there, and settled in like it was our own home. The house is air conditioned if needed, but ceiling fans in most rooms and beautiful breezes take care of anything but the hottest, muggiest days.
The kitchen is fully equipped, there’s wifi and Dish TV, but we brought our Firestick with us, and streamed whatever we wanted. Betsy is a wonderful, responsive host, and any small problems we had were quickly taken care of by her local caretaker. Of course, nothing is perfect, the house is a little dated, but that makes it all the more inviting in my book. The furniture is comfortable, and there are plenty of places to sit and relax by yourself or with a group . For my money (and I really checked around) Betsy’s place is far and away the best place within walking distance to the beach! We loved it so much, we already booked the same month for next year. A definite 5 star experience!

Great location
Our daughter lives in East Waterboro and we love the coastline and all the activities it has to offer, so it was a great location for our vacation because we enjoyed the coastline and visits with our daughter .

The location was great
The space in the house was very good, we loved the various sitting areas and the bedrooms were really good. The kitchen was all that one would want, it had everything.
There needs to be attention given to fixing the sliders and windows.

Misleading
After reading the description I expected to get more than I received. My connection with the owner was great and the home was in a nice neighborhood and convenient to stores and restaurants. The house was at least a mile from the beach, not as listed. The porches were small and the chairs appeared to have not been cleaned in a while. Approximately 25 % of the windows could not be opened and there where ants in the kitchen. There was a lot of clutter in all the closets and kitchen cabinets. Even with all these challenges we still had a great vacation. It is time for the owner to pay a little more attention to detail with this property.

Great cottage experience in coastal Maine
My family with two small children stayed at the cottage for 1 week. The cottage was very clean and in great condition, stocked with all essentials, down to bed linens and kitchen utensils. Enough space to accommodate a family of 4 and more! The extra living areas allowed for separation of space so that kids and adults not on top of each other. Quiet residential area, made great location for family stay. Close driving proximity to all main beaches. Walking distance to top notch ice-cream place- Scoop Deck. Would rent it again, for another vacation in Maine - Wells area!

Very cozy home with tons of rooms. Walk to Wells beach. Walk to great ice cream. Drive to awesome Maine attractions. We enjoyed this home. It had all the things you would expect in a cottage including extra quilts for those chilly nights. Comfortable and clean, this place is in a quiet neighborhood away from the craziness of Rte 1 but so close! Loved it.

Clean, Comfortble and great owner
Have stayed here for two years and counting, The house is always very clean and well kept. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood away from the busy route 1, It has everything you could possible need to have a nice relaxed vacation, the washer and dryer is a huge plus seeing how you can pack a lot lighter. The owner Betsy is extremely accommodating if there is any issue at all with a phone call text or email to Betsy and it will be taking care of asap. All of the beaches and stores and dinning are all in a short drive away. Our kids absolutely love the place and feel right at home when we leave they are asking right away when are we coming back. Would recommend this to anybody looking for a nice relaxing vacation in Maine.

This cottage has accommodations that are superb! It's in a quiet neighborhood and the property is shaded by trees that provide relief from the hot sun, so we were able to sit outside and enjoy the outdoors. Inside, every room has many windows, and it was bright and cheerful. The sun porch was a bonus room, in our opinion. The cottage is super clean and neat, and every amenity that we could possible need was provided....even the linens, towels, basic condiments in the kitchen, etc. Each bedroom had ample room for dressers as well as large closets. The kitchen was fully equipped, right down to the dishwasher! We found that it was very close to the beaches, shopping, and restaurants. Betsy, the owner, was very kind and maintained close communication throughout the rental process. When we finally arrived, we felt that if anything was questionable, she would have no problem addressing the problem immediately. Of course, everything was great - no surprises - it was all as it was described to be on the VRBO site. My family and I would highly recommend this cottage to others.

Beautiful, Clean and Close to Everything!
Our family had a wonderful vacation renting this cottage. It is super clean and comfortable. We felt at home as soon as we pulled in the drive way. The location is perfect as it is close to many popular Wells, ME attractions. The cottage is located on a very nice and quiet street. We were able to ride our bikes to the beach and the Scoop Deck for ice cream. We loved renting this cottage and recommend it to others!

Super clean, spacious, close to everything
If you don't have to be right on the beach, and you desire to be in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood, yet very close to everything, this property is the perfect choice. Betsy is a wonderful host and provided excellent communication! Her home is spotless, and you will be hard pressed to not find everything you need. Even the twin bed was comfortable for an adult. I lost count of how many windows are in this home, letting in sunlight and fresh air! The house has a unique set-up that provides three, separate living rooms (including the closed-in porch) allowing both children and adults to have ample space of their own, if desired. Probably the best ice cream in Wells is at Scoopdeck's right up the street. Having grown up in Southern Maine, it was nice to discover a new beautiful beach, Drake's Island Beach, about a 5 minute drive from the house. We brought bikes, easily peddling to Wells beach and all around the area. We enjoyed exploring many of the antique shops and art galleries close by. To us, summer in Maine is not complete without a night at the Saco Drive-In, the second oldest in the US (celebrating their 75th year). Route 1 can be very congested with summer traffic, crawling along a good deal of the time. It was quite nice that the house is located not far from I-95 Exit 19 to Route 1 via Chapel Rd, making further exploration of other areas of Maine an easy commute.
